My uploads don't have any before the upload, so I think it's the best possible quality one can achieve. Also the audio of my videos is uncompressed PCM (aka WAV) which means it's also the best possible audio quality you can get on YT! I don't know how big the videos are after YT compression but before they are around 15gb! :)
