I'm from Puerto Rico. That was not only an amazing tour but an AUTHENTIC tour. Really proud of them. If you go back and they have longer tours go with them! Although you still have to try the beaches down there. Take a taxi ride to "el escambron" beach park at the entrance of old San Juan, it is not even 15 minutes away from the port and it is beautiful. Google it.
Our next cruise we have the early time from 7am to 2 pm time in San Juan. We were just discussing tonight what to do so early. Last time we went in search of the perfect Pina Colada but it's a little early to bar hop lol Thanks for giving us more ideas.
Some fancy camera/editing at the start. Very nice. Lot of good content. Thankfully I’m not familiar with the smell of death and torture. Kinda hoping it stays that way.😳
Cheesy or not, I DID like your morning transition! That was cute! Quite the food tour you had. So many samples, and such interesting foods! The Ch-Ch-Ch chocolate-cheese-churro was unusual. Hadn't seen anyone eat/drink cheese & chocolate before. I might need to try that tour when we're there in March!
Seeing how we both did food tours that day and after seeing yours... I am inclined to say. Yours was way better! We both went to same history sites but your food experience left me wanting more. I'll be going back on the breeze next week and I think san juan is one of the ports including costa maya (which I have to go see your port tip for that as I've never been crazy about this stop. Love your videos as always
Puerto Rico is such a beautiful place. We did an island tour there last year and loved it. Love how patriotic they r about their military. To bad their government can’t stop being so corrupt so USA can send em more support. O btw I have had a cannon g7x and trade to Sony rx100 v last year. The auto focus is taco shape and like .25 of second fast and colors are perfect straight out of camera If ya ever wanna trade up your camera. Little higher but worth it.
I'm not too sure, other than maybe some information that they include in their tour and they don't want competitors to hear? Hah... just guessing... but we obviously honored her request as best we could!! :D
Dee...cats...go to Ernest Hemmingway's house on Key West. They have 6 toes on their feet. The concrete has their "footy prints". Some of the cats still live there from the original ancestors. I recommend that home tour. We took a tour trolley and got off there.
It was an independent excursion with a company called "Flavors Food Tours" and the tour itself was called the "Classic Old San Juan Food Tour". I would imagine that the one offered through the ship might be a different vendor. Here's the one we did: sanjuanfoodtours.com/old-san-juan-food-tour
This was one of editing Jay's greatest! 😂
I was on the Nieuw Statendam last October and we stopped in San Juan, my favorite destination in the Caribbean. Such a beautiful city!
WEPA! Jay has PR roots! Lol. 🇵🇷. Loved the vlog. Great transition shot! ❤️🚢
I love your videos. Thank you for sharing. Love clarity and sound of your camera!

Very nice! We keep wanting to get to a beach in San Juan, but we've never left the Old San Juan area just yet. Good to know!! :D
1:42 3:24 this is the stuff i love to watch too!
Live streams from the matching cat chairs! LOL! Fantastic food tour.
Thanks for sharing the interesting fact about you grandfather etc.
Enjoyed watching this video. Nice change from the beach.
Love learning history about other areas.

This was a food tour! Made me hungry, lol. Mofungo is definitely on my list!
We did that good tour the last time there. Really good we enjoyed it.
Such a great day! We really enjoyed that one!! :D
Loved the food and arts tour!

Nice editing in the beginning. It's weird to have the morning slot in San Juan. I always was there in the afternoon.
True! We're mostly there in the afternoon & evening, so it was nice to have a daytime visit.
I don't know I like it at night. Better yet, they should just spend the whole day there. Arrive at 9am and leave at midnight.

Thankee! We really did enjoy our day... so many good bites, and we got to (sort of) make our own mofongo... heck yeah!! :D

Enjoyed this, thanks! Curious why guide wouldn't let you use her narration? I'll get there one of these times. ☺

Ah yes! We've passed by the Hemingway House but never gone in. Gotta love any attraction with cats!! :P
Was this tour called "flavors of san juan" was it booked through carnival? Ty

The first photo by Dee of the boat is you pay around 7 dollars per person it would take you around the San Juan bay.
Ahaaa, good to know. Thankee!! :D
was that coffee cup dirty?
Hah, I noticed that in the edit. It wasn't dirty, but had some markings on it that seemed permanent. Ah well!! :P
