- (Sold)More new inventory tonight! This little Luv just came off of the farmstead where I bought 26 vehicles earlier this year! This little pickup is complete and intact, it even has some old cheesy department store wire wheelcovers on it!!!! The story I was told on this little pickup was that the engine was overhauled and they just couldn't get the carb set correctly after the overhaul had been completed. After a while, it was pushed out behind one of the outbuildings with plans to finish it up later. Later never got here and that's where it sat until I picked it up just recently! These little Luvs are getting tougher to find and an intact solid one is something you just don't see that often! Lets check this one out!!!!
If you like old cars, trucks, and automobilia, be sure to check out all of my other videos! Please subscribe so you can keep up with the new videos as I post them! If you have questions about vehicles or parts, the only way to get a hold of me is to call me, 8 AM-8 PM CST, no texts. If I don’t answer, I’m probably on the phone with someone else and if you don’t leave me a message, I just assume your another telemarketer trying to sell me an extended warranty! Lol! Boy would I love to have this little truck here! Wish they could go back into production once again. Gas prices are up to 5 dollars and more these days.
Drove a yellow 1973 Chevy Luv truck that I brought from California to Lincoln NE in 1977 through mid-1979. It had a small snugfit camper shell on it. Not a great vehicle for Lincoln in the winter, but still a cool little truck. It had a choke that you had to pull out when it was starting up on really cold winter mornings until the engine was fully warmed up-and in 20 below that took a while! Enjoyed seeing this, it brought back some good memories.
My LUV was 1977 orange exterior with plaid interior manual transmission no power steering. I miss that old truck.
Light Utility Vehicle
Thats the best condition I've seen one in🤔 Happy holidays👍
How much do you want for the Chevy LUV thank you
😎
Hi Chad and everyone
This truck is salvageable. If someone could get this truck out of the junkyard, bet it can get up and running once again. The body is pretty much all there, the bed is in pretty much good shape, all you would need to do is get her running if the engine is still pretty much in this truck and isn't at all been taken apart. OR, you coukd get a S 10 or GMC Sonoma engine and put it into this truck, as the newer S 10's and Sanoma's had Isuzu engines in them because the LUV truck are nothing but Isuzu trucks made for Chevy. Chevy just stamped their bowtie and put it on their trucks.

How did you find out it was a 1973?.. seems to me they did not have that LUV badge on the side like that until several years later... anyway.. I sceptical that it's a '73..
The rear tail lights. 72 had circular tail lights and then in 75 they were on the both sides of the tail gate.
