Looks like a beautiful spot for a quiet hike and some scouting! 🏞 The views are amazing, and there’s something so peaceful about just walking a gravel road and taking it all in. Definitely seems like a place worth revisiting this season. Thanks for sharing the adventure! 🚙🍁
Thank you, Simon😁 It was certainly beautiful up there! Very peaceful😃 I hope yo head back up there before the end of the season. We'll see how things play out.
Age, a super beautiful day to explore. The trash one finds in the bush is wild. One thing I've learned though over my years of hunting is that the presence of trash means other people (and hunters) have been in the area. If you find spots away from the garbage, you've found a place with less pressure from people and hunters and more likelihood to see game. Good luck this fall!
It was a really beautiful day out there! The trash doesn't necessarily mean hunters here. A lot of people go out 4 wheel driving and exploring on Vancouver Island. Could be them too, but that also means people... Yes, to find spots away from people and garbage, I'm trying to follow game trails into the bush. Even then I've come across garbage. I've got my fingers crossed for a deer. I have a spot I'm heading too next weekend hoping to get my buck! Good luck to you and the boys as well😁
Great day out again, hiking, showing us around. The views are stunning , I must say, beautiful. And no wild animals attack, so that's good! 😁 Nice video Age thank You for sharing 👍🏻😎
It really was a great day out! The sky was beautiful as well, especially at sunset🌞 No attacking wild animals, that's a great thing😁 It would have been nice to see some though😃 I hope you're having a great weekend😊
Looked pretty steep and all those loose stones, but so pretty. I felt nervous when you put your rifle away with signs of bears. Loved the nice sunset sky at the end!
It was pretty steep in places. I'm glad I hiked it. Theoretically less noise than my Jeep😁 It was open enough that I figured there would be some distance between me and a bear if we met. I had my whistle around my neck so I'd blow that if needed to scare the bear away. If that did not do anything, then I'd pull the rifle out. I can actually pull it out when it's on my back. I should show that sometime. The sunsets are my favourites up there😁
Thanks, Jon😁 I was hoping to see some deer, but none up there to see😟 Yeah, poo with a view😃 I've had a few of those this Fall💩 The mountains are awesome! I really enjoy being on them😊
Thanks, Ervin😁 It really is beautiful up there! It's one of my favourite places. I tend to talk to everything out there. I'll talk to the camera and any animals that show up. I talk to them and about them like people😃 Even though I'm alone, I feel like I'm not alone when I talk to them😊
Yeah, the sky was really painted some great colours! You're right, the bears were probably in the woods looking 🐻😁 You have a great weekend as well, Jim 😊
They are really great out there😁 I'm usually ok downhill, but I do be careful on loose anything. I've fallen a number of times from rocks or loose gravel slipping out from under me. Yes, lots of signs of bears around these parts😃 Predators all over this island.
Lovely views and sky 😊 horrible scree type stones underfoot though, glad you stopped yourself from falling that looked close. The light in the sky is so nice. Glad you didn’t run into a bear 😅 lol dump with a view 😂😂 wow that sky over the jeep at the end 💛
It was a beautiful day😁 Yeah, that crushed rock was not the best for walking on. Not great for driving on up those steep hills either. I wouldn't mind seeing a bear from a distance🐻 I just don't want them to be too close or in the direction I need to go. The sky really was painted nicely😃 I really enjoy when that happens. Yes, loo views😊 Some of the best up there, I'd bet!
No luck, Age, but at least you got a nice hike and a beautiful sunset. Have you ever thought of setting yourself up in a cammo outfit and just playing the waiting game. Either that or a hide either on ground level on in the trees? Plus, what season are we in? Still Deer season, or are you after Grouse/Pheasants? Do you have to have a Deer hunting licence, or is it first come, first served? At least you have found out that the area is well trafficked. As for the rubbish. Yes, that annoys me too. Thanks for sharing, Age.
Hi Chris. Yeah, no luck yet...the sunsets up there are amazing! I've thought about sitting and waiting and I don't know that I can do it for long. I get restless and bored. It may be the best way to go out there though. This is September 21st, so it's deer hunting season. Deer on Vancouver Island can be hunting from September 10th - December 10th. It's Grouse season too. You can hunt them from September 1 - December 31. You need to buy a Deer licence. You just pay for one, there is no lottery or anything like that for them. I know there are deer up there because in the winter time, I've seen their tracks in the snow😁 I certainly wish people wouldn't leave their trash out there.
Thanks, Roni😁 It's that time of year again where I get out into the forest on the mountains. This was certainly a beautiful afternoon to be out there and the sky was beautifully painted😃
It frustrates me too when people throw garbage away in the forest. I have found car tires and full garbage bags with domestic garbage. This summer I found cigarette butts in the forest and I could see that the cigarettes had been thrown down while still smouldering because they had the cherry on them. The people had no concern about wildfire.
They do indeed. I am talking quite quietly for the video and I have to crank it up in the video editor so it can be heard in the final edit. I really need to work on walking quieter. My footsteps on the rocks and ground can be quite loud at times. I'll try to be more quiet in general when I head out😁
The views are great up there😁 I don't know how many people would hike the logging roads unless it was to get to a hiking trail. I've certainly seen hunters doing it😃 Yeah, lots of big bear poops up there🐻
@@JenniferLupine I wouldn't want to hike an active one! This one is the end of the line and after the tree over the road, no one was going to be driving up there.

Super beautiful day and views Age... Plenty of exercise and a fun hunt .. Good luck Buddy... The deer gods will smile down upon you this season ✌️
Thanks, Jim😁
It was good to be out there. I hope you're right and they do smile down upon me🦌😃
Thank you so much for your sharing. Nice day with you. So excellent.

One can tell winter is coming . I see a lot of green with browns mixed in
Yes, the brown and the chill in the air when the breeze starts blowing.
There may be snow in those hills really soon!
Wonderful mountain places, nature, hike, views. Thank you for video sharing. Video liked 👍

I love the views on this mountain! The sunsets are spectacular😃
If one is out there hunting for views you scored big time!! Awesome!!
Well, sometimes that is what the reward is for the day and I'm ok with that😁😁
The views really are amazing out there! I have a really hard time on the downhill, especially in loose rock. More signs of bears 🐻
