i'm just gonna compile this comment as i watch so i can point stuff out. - i'm already dying at these voiceovers ugh. - 0:15 - "distance in your eyes" paired with EYEBALL PARALLELS OHMYGOD. - him thinking about admitting he's iron man in 2008 vs. saying it as he's about to die in 2023. fuck. - the snap hitting right as the song picks up. - the "spotlight" parallels with them in front of crowds - 1:02 with "i thought that i heard you laughing" and steve laughing at tony AUGH - all of the parallel visuals and voiceover completions from 1:08-1:15 - THEM KEEPING STUFF FROM EACH OTHER. THIS IS HOW YOU BREAK UP, BOYSSSS. ever since civil war, i can't watch ultron the same because i keep internally thinking how steve's a hypocrite for being mad tony doesn't tell him everything while steve's got this other dark secret hiding from tony. DUMB IDIOT BOYS. - the hurting parts hurt too much nope nope nope - 1:56 - THE HINT OF THE CENTURY AHAHAHAHHHHHH. - 2:04 BROUGHT ME TO MY KNEES. god. why does this song fit; i was doubtful and now i'm like "yes it's about stony." - 2:20-2:24 are my favorite looks two men ever give each other in the history of cinema. look how happy they are to be with each other and be on the same team and be together and be in LOVE. - "try, cry, why try?" i feel that in my eyes as i, too, cry. so. that's my comment.
ahhhh thank you so much!! You picked up on so many of the things I wanted to get across with the song lyrics. I just thought there was so much with their story that could be used as parallel for the song. I loved vidding this honestly. Like those parts in the song where it goes "I've said enough", I tried to pair that with things that had significance, like Tony being so quiet in his deathbead, literally only saying "Iron man" as a justification and explanation for everything -- he's said enough -- because it's true, at the end of the day, he's just a man in a can, but he still managed to save the entire universe. And when he gives that huge heartreaking speech to Steve and just collapses in the end -- because he's said enough -- he's poured out his shattered heart. And during that same speech, the gut wrenching way he pulls out the reactor and shoves into Steve's hand telling him to put it on and hide -- Trying to keep an eye on you -- because despite it all he still cares? Aghhh, let me just tear my eyes out
@@HarmoniaVids AUGH yeah i love and hate that tony says basically nothing as he's dying. it's a great way to show a character who's spent his whole life talking and justifying and arguing to just feel like he's said enough and can go. but it feels just palpably wrong also, and since peter is my fave, i feel majorly sad for him since he kept talking to tony and got nothing back. but yeah everything. everything hurts.
I watched Endgame in cinema with my boyfriend,i started to cry meanwhile he viped my tears and even after movie i couldnt calm down because Tony was one of my favourite characters.
