    We don't have access to that machine in the US yet, so I can't do a review … we'll definitely do so if/when it comes to the US! I agree that there have been some QA improvements to the machines since Philips got involved, although they're still designed / manufactured by Saeco at their factory in Italy. - Kat

    Nope, it's not fake; they are usually 15 - 19 BAR pressure pumps that will settle down into the 9 BAR of pressure ideal for espresso. - Kat

    Saeco's grind adjust method successfully made the adjust tool the most selling accessory. frankly not many people remember to press down before you you turn, and the next thing is hearing it cracks.

    TXS for a great channel, your videos are great consumer information. Any plans of putting a video of Philips Saeco Moltio HD8769/01?
    I got a Saeco Talea Ring where the electronics messed up. Had plans to switch to Delonghi, but after a visit to Norway's largest consumer electronics warehouse I changed my mind. I honestly didn't expect to find people who knew what they were selling, but got great info there. They told me the quality had greatly improved after Phillips bought Saeco, soo....

    You could do something like the Saeco Xsmall or Vienna Plus for the superautos; for a nice combo setup, the Breville Barista Express is good; finally, for separate units, check out the Breville Infuser and Smart Grinder. - Kat

    This is actually the Saeco Minuto Focus (HD877x), i believe. The Saeco Minuto (HD876x) does not have the coffee features, it's espresso only.

      @SeattleCoffeeGear  11 лет назад

      Interesting! They just gave us all the info on it as the Minuto. Good to know :) - Kat

      Seattle Coffee Gear I'm not 100% sure about the name, though. I got curious after noticing the Minuto sold locally (in Croatia) does not have the Coffee/Espresso lever thingy. Then went looking it up and lo and behold - it *appears* the HD877x models are being labeled as "Minuto Focus" on some sites, while HD876x models (without the lever) are only ever labeled as "Minuto". Philips' site lists both as just "Minuto", so i might be completely wrong.

      oorcinus They have never made it easy for us with their naming conventions and what features are on which machines! I think it's frustrating for a lot of folks … us included ;) - Kat

    Gail, I am interested to know which machine you would recommend for someone who is mainly looking for a cup of coffee that provides the best espresso like crema.

    Are there any other automatic machines that brew both Coffee and Espresso, besides the one in the video here? I'm definitely interested in the combination ones and am not sure which ones are good and how many are out there. Thank you.

    I say say-co, some people say sah-ayco and still others say see-ay-co. I suspect the middle one may be more true to the Italian pronunciation. - Kat

      I am Italian and Sah-ayco is the closest.

    hi!, are there other super autos that do just straight coffee like this one? I would really like to be able to get that from the machine that i choose...going to try and stay under 1500 dollars, thanks!

      Hello Andrew Rota, The Jura Ena Micro 1 also specializes in single cups of coffee. Product information and our video can be found here: www.seattlecoffeegear.com/jura-ena-micro-1-automatic-coffee-center. I hope this helps! - Sarah

    So I'm sure this has been asked before, but how are you supposed to pronounce Saeco? I've heard you guys say it both ways.

    What about the sound of this machine?
    Is it very loud?

    • @SeattleCoffeeGear
      @SeattleCoffeeGear  9 лет назад +1

      niet van toepassing For a superautomatic, it is about average. It is a little louder than the Jura models, but standard to the Saeco lineup.

      I have one of these and I also have a Saeco Intelia Deluxe tthey are
      both about the same decibal level when in operation. So it it basically
      the same as most of the Seaco lineup. It's for sure much more quite then
      the Seaco Vienna Deluxe. Great machine

    Whats the point of the coffee/espresso lever if you have to press the coffee or expresso button?

    • @SeattleCoffeeGear
      @SeattleCoffeeGear  10 лет назад

      Hi AS4Michael, the lever changes the amount of pressure used when brewing. If you choose espresso then the Minuto will brew using 15 bar of pressure and if you choose coffee then the Minuto will brew using 3 bar. The other buttons determine the volume (coffee will have more water and espresso will have less). - Sarah

    Hi! Could you please advise? Between the Saeco Intelia Evo one touch and the Minuto one touch cappucino - What are the differences and which is better? Please!

    • @SeattleCoffeeGear
      @SeattleCoffeeGear  9 лет назад

      Hello Aj vd Westhuizen, It all depends on what features you are most interested in. The Minuto offers a special coffee/espresso lever that adjusts the amount of pressure used when brewing a coffee vs. brewing an espresso. By adjusting the pressure, the minuto comes as close to brewing drip coffee as any superautomatic machine can. The Intelia does not offer this function, but has other great qualities. For more information you can check out our product description and videos here: www.seattlecoffeegear.com/saeco-minuto-automatic-espresso-machine-coffee-maker and here: www.seattlecoffeegear.com/saeco-intelia-one-touch-cappuccino-machine. - Sarah

      I had both ( for a week ) Intelia and minuto one touch. I find Intelia better.Looks better,coffee espresso make both good. and intelia has aroma lid where u put ur beans( hope its right ) Minuto makes better milk foam as intelia.

    • @ajvdwest
      @ajvdwest 9 лет назад

      sipsikjasall That was the impressions I also got from reading about them. The minuto is newer and has a newer carafe, and assumably better froth. But the Intelia is a bigger, stronger and better looking machine. So I was wondering is it worth it to give up the size and looks for better froth?? Not sure it is...

      Aj vd Westhuizen
      i just told u what experience i did make with both maschine.I had one touch intelia and one touch minuto ( HD 8753 and HD8763)Yes intelia is a bit bigger and better rated here in europa.Minuto ,im not sure that someone will be happy with this for a long time,to much cheap plastic,milk caraffe is not so good as intelia.Thats why i didnt keep my and did order exprelia.

    Saeco minuto or Saeco Xsmall - which one is better ?

    • @SeattleCoffeeGear
      @SeattleCoffeeGear  10 лет назад +1

      It's hard to compare those two directly because of the size difference and the price difference. The Minuto has a lot more features, but the xsmall has a smaller footprint. What were you looking for, and why were you thinking about these two machines? - Steven

    Hi Gail I have an old italia and incanto saeco both are spitting the fresh grounds in the tray and not he hopper if any make it it is not compact but wet and slushy.! any idea the culprit? pleassee help I need my shot! :)

    • @SeattleCoffeeGear
      @SeattleCoffeeGear  10 лет назад

      There are a few things that could be causing this problem. Could be a broken grinder chute, which is very common, but that style of grinder is not on all Italia and Incanto models. I would double check that you have the maximum dosage set and your brew unit is in the right position. If neither of these suggestions help, i suggest taking your machine to the nearest Saeco Certified Service Center. - Brendan

    Pretty awesome, but not as awesome as the Saeco Menudo that has Ricky Martin hop out of the dregs box to sing Livin La Vida Loca while brewing.
