Good idea to use the caravan with weather like that. I wonder if you parked both the van and car vertically if allowed and put the awning up between it might have been ok, depending on what direction the wind was going. A lovely spot Peachrim, you take care. 😊
The setting up problems reminded me of a similar situation that happened to a friend some years ago. We went on a group camping trip and had already set up all of our tents before the rain started. He arrived late in the evening, and it was POURING. He struggled with both the rain and the wind to set up his tent, but it was so loud that we hadn't even noticed he had arrived. We only realized that he was there when we saw a new tent that was all wonky 😅 It's great that you had your caravan and could keep warm 😊
