I started to learn how to mod undertale a few days ago, the timing is just 👌. Doubt I'll win but I'll give it a shot

Idea for you: All souls are based on their weapons ie blue ballet shoes =movement
Gun=shoot
Pan=bloc
Soo...
Light blue=fight attacks with melee
Or
Dark blue=ice phisics
if we submit a mod, could it possibly be a DEMO? So that we are able to finish it on our own time, like lets say only Ruins and maybe Snowdin are playable in this DEMO, would that be acceptable and then we finish it ourselves after the competition?

@@realyes It does actually, depending on what part of the question you’re looking at. They could be talking about future modding competitions or this current one and may have missed the part where it says soul modes only.

Too bad I don't know how to program... then again, I don't have much ideas for new soul modes anyways so would have to think on the fly, which I don't feel usually results in best results.
I wish that there was a competition for Undertale/Deltarune fan games lol

I guess, but it has to be Undertale-like as i think. It's an "Undertale modding" competition, either way.
rules say "Submissions must be mods for Undertale (duh)"

@@BobJeffo idk I think he will play undertale and switch between mods every few routes cause he said each mod will get one route so I think as long as you can put it into undertale you can submit it

If I could get in the competition this is what I would do make you control the box and the soul will be brown.
if I could make mods I would prob mix the blue soul with the gravity soul like every turn you get a random direction yiu are put on (idk if this makes sense but yeah)

I was jumping upon hearing this, but then felt devastated because I make my mods on scratch and don’t know how to upload on gamebanna. This was really sad for me and I feel destroyed. I was even going to make an orange soul based fight. If your reading this, please let me enter with my scratch games.

You arent allowed to recrate souls that are already fetured in the channel like gray or orange but i assume that only applys if its fonction is the same so if your gimmic is not stopping it wouldnt work
also no fangames only mods are allowed sorry

You know, it be cool like a sword, soul ability where you to destroy like projectiles you have to like stop them with your sword and for a charge attack it’s kind of ring around kind of flipping the script of the undying fight or you have a shield and she has the weapon for a script and maybe it’d be like an octopus or something I don’t know

Tbh if I could make mods I would have made souls that give you a debuff like idk a monster hits u with a potion and u turn lime and then just start taking 1hp per second and then there would be some way to get that Soulmode off the player
Imagine mod where you play as monsterkid...NO IM SERIOUS, SOMEONE MAKE IT PLS. MAKE MY BOI MONSYERKID BE A PEAK OF MODS
Soul color idea, Green/Red impossible color soul. You can slash away projectiles around you to block/destroy them, it'd be a mix of the red and green soul.
Idea for soul powers
Red: already done
Orange: Make it to where you could block to reduce damage on attacks
Yellow: already done
Green: Give the player a small flower shield that acts like Undyne’s spear in the base game
Light Blue: Damage is taken slowly like karma except it’s Pat for patience (idea by the first fallen human comic)
Blue: Make it to where they can use a little bit of magic like heal and fire and if you kill a monster (otherwise break integrity’s morals) make it to where your magic is weaker
Purple: If you would die (once per fight) you live on 1hp and end the attack
Undertale Green is already a fangame right? Does it have to be full?

can i hire someone to make a mod where it's Undertale, but the way you dodge attacks is like a Geometry dash level? like a a full-on level in the boss fights and normal enemies are some attacks? and every time that you get hit you restart the battle, but you don't heal when oh and there are basically no turns, there is one at the end where you decide if you kill, or spare the enemy
