Good reaction. You asked "Who is that rap girl". That is Lisa, aka Lalisa Manoban, the most famous female Kpop Idol in the world with over 100 million IG followers (her members aren't far behind). This is their debut song with WHISTLE ( debut with 2 songs). This is the only debut song in RUclips history that got over billion views. That rapper is LISA( Lalisa Manoban)from Thailand, she won the BEST K-POP AWARD 2 times from MTV from her solo songs, in 2022 with LALISA and in 2024 with ROCKSTAR.
I think you should react to their full album-"THE ALBUM". It has 2 music videos,"How you like that" and "lovesick girls" The whole album is diverse and every single song is really good in my opinion

If you like rock based music you will definitely like Dreamcatcher! They are called „the queens of rock in kpop“. They commonly use a lot of rock elements in their songs :) I‘d love to recommend you some of their songs! - „Boca“ - keeps the rock vibe but is a little more kpop than their other releases - „Deja Vu“ - Now this one you definitely need to listen to. It’s regarded as one of the best Dreamcatcher songs if not one of the best kpop songs. - Chase me - Their debut song which people often call sounds like an anime opening Other than rock they also have one of the most diverse discography’s in all of kpop so if you need more suggestions or want to know the members I’ll gladly help! 😊 (Please listen to Deja Vu by Dreamcatcher 🤩)
If you're asking to some rock touch, i think in k-pop you should try Dreamcatcher wich has lot of guitar sound in their songs. The self produced group I-DLe have some songs with that touch, like 'never mind' or even 'tomboy'. Personnaly, i totally jumped in japan kawaï metal of 'Babymetal' (going to their concert in Paris 2025). Not really k-pop but a j-pop/metal perfect mix. One try with 'road of resistance' could give you a idea of this style 🤘🤘
Once you realize the production level on the music and video side of things in kpop, you'll realize that it's also in the kdrama film industry as well. They learned from the west and just made it all better from music to production to editing to videography to cinematography.
Thanks for the Blackpink reaction. If you are interested in K-pop, I recommend Dreamcatcher's Scream. This song is the first song in the Dystopia Trilogy. K-pop groups sometimes have stories in their songs, and this song lets you feel it.
Welcome to the world of Blackpink. I don't know if you can escape from this world or not. K-pop production is amazing. (too amazing actually I think) There are 4 big production companies and many other small and medium-sized companies. I think you might prefer Blackpink's live performance with a live band. You can find performances from their Coachella headliner main stage and live performances from their world stadium tour on youtube. The GAL who raps is Lisa. Although she is from Thailand, she trained for a long time in Korea for her debut and is so fluent that she raps freely in Korean. She recently performed at the Victoria's Secret opening stage and fashion show. I don't know if you'll like it, but it's a performance that shows she's top class. I have been a professional drummer for over 30 years. Maybe that's why there was a time when I didn't like this type of music. These days, I have become interested in and enjoy almost all types of music as long as it makes people happy. So I understand you and respect your perspective. It may not be the same for everyone, but there are probably a small number of people who dislike Blackpink. (Their RUclips account is the most followed musician account in the world. 95 million subscribers) The drummer at Blackpink's live performance is amazing. If you search below, you will find out why. It's an amazing live performance, not just from the drummer. BLACKPINK - ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ 2019 Coachella Live Performance
Your personal music preferences probably won't match up with kpop or more specifically, Blackpink. Mine didn't either when I first stumbled across it. I was a devout Classic Rock, Country, and occasional Pop guy. But now, kpop is all I listen to. Groups like Blackpink, (G)I-DLE, Mamamoo, BTS, Stray Kids, Dreamcatcher, all amazed me in a variety of ways, visually, sonically, lyrically, choreographically, and stage presence. As a whole, the kpop industry shows the West what creativity, imagination, training, commitment, and competition can produce. It has open up a new world of entertainment for me and i dig it.
Jennie-main rapper,lead vocalist,face of the group Lisa-main dancer,lead rapper Rosé-main vocalist,lead dancer Jisoo-lead vocalist,visual they don’t have an official leader main>lead visual-the person closest to the Korean beauty standards
Just to add, there are actual bands with instrumentalists that are considered K-Pop, but honestly it is not very common . The most famous of these rock bands are DAY 6. But they still feel more like K-Rock than K-Pop to me.
there are plenty of bands like Rolling Quartz you just don't know them which would be a lot closer to what he's looking for than dreamcatcher but you all tell RUclipsrs what you want them to like for you not what they might like for themselves
Guitar bassed was not quite as popular in K-Pop but there are certainly a number of groups that go in this direction. For the girl groups, of course Dreamcatcher, whose title tracks almost always have rock-metal influences and they combine it with classic idol pop and choreography. Pink Fantasy falls into the same category. For the boy groups, you could mention ATEEZ, who are often rock-inspired. Both (Dreamcatcher and ATEEZ) also use the same producer. There are also several bands (classic with instruments on stage), such as Rolling Quarz, QWER, Day6, ONEWE, The Rose, NFLYING, Xdinary Heroes, IZ, LØREN, FTILAND, Purple Rain. However, the popularity of rock-based songs has increased in recent years, so you can find them in other groups too, Stray Kids, Enhypen, TXT, (G) I-dle, ITZY, A.C.E, YENA, Dreamnote, Pentagon, PURPLE KISS and even TWICE. btw. Playing with genre boundaries is inherent in K-pop.
*BLACKPINK (MUSIC VIDEOS)* - SHUT DOWN - PINK VENOM - KILL THIS LOVE - HOW YOU LIKE THAT - DDU DU DDU DU - BOOMBAYAH - AS IF ITS YOUR LAST - WHISTLE - PLAYING WITH FIRE - ICE CREAM (FT SELENA GOMEZ) - LOVESICK GIRLS - STAY - SPOT (JENNIE & ZICO) - MONEY (lisa) - LALISA (lisa) - ON THE GROUND (rosé) - GONE (rosé) - SOLO (jennie) - FLOWER (jisoo) - READY FOR LOVE - THE GIRLS (more recent) - YOU AND ME (jennie) - ROCKSTAR (LISA) - NEW WONAN (LISA FT ROSALIA) - MOONLITH FLOOR (LISA) - MANTRA (JENNIE) - APT (ROSÉ FT BRUNO MARS) BLACKPINK songs without music video (they are even better) - PRETTY SAVAGE - LOVE TO HATE ME - CRAZY OVER YOU - TYPA GIRL - YOU NEVER KNOW - THE HAPPIEST GIRL - TALLY - YEAH YEAH YEAH - HARD TO LOVE - FOREVER YOUNG - DONT KNOW WATH TO DO - REALLY - BET YOU WANNA (FT CARDI B) - KISS AND MAKE UP (FT DUA LIPA - SOUR CANDY (FT LADY GAGA - KICK IT - SEE U LATER - HOPE NOT - ALL EYES TO ME They only have 40 songs but their level and quality is so superior that that alone is enough to become the biggest girl group in history. The songs that DO NOT have a music video (as they do not have subtitles) I recommend that you watch them in COLOR CODED LYRICS, look for it on RUclips, they are the same songs but with a translation and on the screen they show who of the 4 is singing.
If you want to listen to Kpop live performance with a full on Rock Band in the background, check out Blackpink's Coachella performance of DDu Du DDu Du. Or better yet their DDu Du DDu Du Encore Remix at the Tokyo Dome.
Do explore k-pop. Blackpink and YG (company under which blackpink is labelled) have their own genre, overall k-pop groups have wide wide range of songs from balled to rap to blues it'll really be a fun experience
When I watched you from APT, I felt wronged for Rose because she's literally the one who's deep in music. But that was just because I understand her music. Then I thought you should react more to her and BLACKPINK to have a better understanding of them. I also felt bad because I already know you'll have to face some fans that aren't open minded and will take your opinion as an attack or something. Welcome to the K-Pop world, LOL. I think you should listen to more BLACKPINK songs because, believe me when I tell you, there's so much more to discover. They also have solo songs if you're interested; also check it out. FYI, BLACKPINK is now focusing on their solo career, but they are not disbanded yet. The members are LISA, JENNIE, ROSE, and JISOO. The one you liked rapping is LISA. So, there are rappers and vocalists. Although they can individually rap and sing, the main and lead rappers are JENNIE and LISA. They can all sing but they have their own style and unique voice. Like I said, they are focusing on their solo career now. LISA has her own label called LLOUD, as well as JENNIE has her own called Odd Atelier signed with Columbia Records. ROSE is also busy doing her own music and APT. is a start. Her album will come out on December. These three have recently released music, so check it out if you want. When their music as BLACKPINK was mostly influenced by YG Ent., their music now, in their own label, is the music they really want to show. Like their own style, own decisions, and such. Now, JISOO is working on her album; no promises, but she'll release music soon. JISOO is also an actress; she already had a drama called SNOWDROP; if you want to, check it out. And I think she's working on a project right now. That's all I can say for now. For more information, watch their documentary film BLACKIPINK: LIGHT UP THE SKY on Netflix. Thank you!
H! Walter! I've been enjoying your reactions, per your request, here are my rock kpop recommendations: Dreamcatcher (Rock based pop, but they cover all genres as well) a good start would be their debut song "Chase Me " - It got me hooked, and G(I)Dle's "Tomboy". Both groups have outstanding vocals, great dancers and choreography. Both groups do a lot of self-producing (Props to G(I)Dle though, for almost 100% self producing). But seriously, great music awaits!
I suggest to give Babymonster's "Drip" a shot. Just released (yesterday) and they are the new girl group from YG (where Blackpink is from). Blackpink usually uses a live band for their concerts. The drums and guitars give their songs a nice twist. Blackpink's "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" from Coachella 2019 might be a good showcase, especially since you already know the MV and can compare. As far as your request goes for other "a bit different" K-Artists... here 10 suggestions as entry points (I only follow female artists): Dreamcatcher "Justice", Billlie "Ring Ma Bell", ARTMS "Pre1: Birth", (G)I-DLE "Tomboy", BiBi "Animal Farm", Rolling Quartz "Fearless", Purple Kiss "Sweet Juice", Moonbyul "Eclipse", Yena "DNA", ITZY "Nobody Like You"
I didn’t see your reaction to APT. so I’m not gonna say anything about that - but it’s interesting that the girl in this video who made you go “oh, right!” was actually Rosé.
I just started watching your Blackpink reactions and I will go and watch the others in a second, but I need to share my thoughts. This is gonna be a long comment, but I feel like you're a creator who actually appreciates longer comments. Starting off Blackpink is my favorite girl group and I love everything they do as a group and solo. I could go into detail here, but I feel like the other comments already did that. So now I want to talk about something else, which is my second favorite girl group of all time called (G)I-DLE. They are also a kpop group, but one thing that makes them stand out is the fact that they are self-produced. All girl groups in South Korea like Blackpink have producers who write and produce the songs for them. The country is still kinda sexist, so female producers are rare, even more rare when they are also a kpop idol. That's when (G)I-DLE comes in. Since their label is kinda incompetent and struggled with making a good song for their debut back in 2018, (G)I-DLE's leader Soyeon wrote, composed and produced the bands first single on her own at just 19 years old. It was a huge success and since then she produced every single they ever released and most of the album tracks as well. She said she never planned on becoming the groups main producer, but loves it and hopes she can encourage more women to start producing since it's really enjoyable. She also encouraged her fellow members and soon Minnie and Yuqi started producing songs for the groups albums too. Another member called Miyeon also started writing this year. Soyeon is more than just their main producer though. Their label made her an executive producer meaning that she's also involved in the concept planning of their releases, making the ideas for music videos, the marketing promotions and choosing the styling. She basically does everything for this group and even started writing for other groups as well. That's what makes (G)I-DLE authentic. The actually stand behind the music they're releasing because it comes directly from them. From the idea to the finished product. It's all them. It can also be seen in their bold topics like feminism (which is still controversial in Korea). Their music talks about important topics and breaks boundaries, but they also have fun songs. That's another point: They are versatile. I feel like there is a (G)I-DLE song for everyone since they always try new genres instead of going with the trend. They have such a wide range in their discography, it's insane. Rock is not that popular in kpop I feel like, but I also love a good pop rock song and since you said you liked rock/guitar based songs I thought about (G)I-DLE songs that I would label as rock: Songs with video: - Tomboy (written by Soyeon, 2022. One of their biggest hits ever and probably also one of my favorite songs ever by them. Genre: alt-rock, pop punk) - Allergy (written by Soyeon, 2023. Also a pop punk song, but less rock than Tomboy. The video for this is being continued in their song Queencard, which is the most popular song they ever released. Queencard is "just" a pop song, but I love the song and it's literally their biggest hit, so you should definitely watch them back to back to get the storyline) - Never Stop Me (written by Soyeon, 2022. I love that song. The video is named '말리지 마' LIVE CLIP on their channel. Genre: pop rock) - Love (written by Soyeon, 2022. Not sure if you'll like this one, but it the genre is soft rock) - Giant (Yuqi solo song written by Yuqi, 2021. Genre: pop rock) - Bonnie and Clyde (2021, also an Yuqi solo song and maybe even my favorite. Genre: Dance rock) Non-singles, meaning no official video: - All Night (written by Yuqi, 2023. Genre: pop, but heavy guitar) - Liar (written by Yuqi, 2022. Genre: rock) These songs represent their rock side the best I think, maybe I forgot some, but these are the ones that came to mind. They are all fairly recent. I feel like they got bolder and more experimental as the time went on, so that's probably why they didn't try rock earlier. Like I said they have songs in every genre and these just show the tip of the iceberg. So feel free to ask for other genres or suggestions. I'm happy to help people get into (G)I-DLE
I want to add Revenge to the list since there is no 2024 song on my previous list. It's a song written by Soyeon this year and I wouldn't consider it rock, but I love the song, it has guitar and the music video is one of my favorite videos ever by them. God, I basically want to recommend everything. Shutting up about how much I love (G)I-DLE is hard for me especially since you asked for rock, but some of their greatest songs are not rock. I really don't know where to stop. A lot of their songs have guitar tho. Yuqi produced songs are mostly guitar based since it's her favorite instrument to play. Soyeon kinda does everything and Minnie loves to play piano, which is the only reason her songs didn't make it to this list.
if you like rock sound you need to react to rolling quartz-blaze,fearless,victory. Also,pixy-addicted,bewitched eng version, karma, wings and purple kiss-ponzona,memeM are also dark-themed and rock-ish. Defenitily not poppy so I would rec all these
A few suggestions: If you want to hear some guitars in Kpop, you could try Day6. Also, someone who I think is criminally underrated in Kpop is Ailee. Her vocals are out of this world. But my personal favorite artist is not a Kpop artist, but the Japanese British singer Rina Sawayama. Her debut album "Sawayama" is simply the greatest album I have ever listened to. I think you'd love it too because of the rock songs on there such as "Who's Gonna Save You Now". Her next album, "Hold The Girl," is amazing as well.
oki... you want more rock themed? Dreamcatcher is the group that you want! Start with the song Deja Vu. Then go from there... Also, Wendy's solo song I hate you.
Hey Walter, not sure why you removed your reaction to Rosé’s APT, but hope you stay authentic and true to yourself in these reaction videos. Peace and all the best for the future!

Reacted to that VERY early in my reaction journey.
Should check out The Rose for indie pop
Please react Lisa's MV from LLOUD RUclips channel. Also give reaction Pink venom, shut down songs. Waiting for this❤
Next 'Whistle' please🌷🌷🌷
yes yes do more do more!
95 million subscribers)
The drummer at Blackpink's live performance is amazing. If you search below, you will find out why. It's an amazing live performance, not just from the drummer.

Love Lisa
If you lik guitar n some of the genre you mentioned try rose solo mv Gone and On The Ground
Now that's a good explanation
Blackpink tem muitas músicas com bilhões de visualizações. São o maior grupo feminino do mundo atualmente.
Guitar-based, rock-based Kpop that you ask for and would like to try should be the girl group "Dreamcatcher" then some songs of "G(I)-dle"
Yup, yup, yup. And even some ITZY lately... :)
They all have solo projects. Jenni’s solo. Rose on the ground. Lisa money.
Rosé❤❤❤listen hard to love
Black Pink 🌺 been around for almost ten years! Legends of k Pop 🎶! Where you been! Haha 😃

Guitar or rock inspired K-Pop? There is only one girl group you need to know... DREAMCATCHER!

They only have 40 songs but their level and quality is so superior that that alone is enough to become the biggest girl group in history.
The songs that DO NOT have a music video (as they do not have subtitles) I recommend that you watch them in COLOR CODED LYRICS, look for it on RUclips, they are the same songs but with a translation and on the screen they show who of the 4 is singing.
U should react to their newer stuff with is 2022 shutdown and pick venom are both amazing im sure you'll like them
If you want to listen to Kpop live performance with a full on Rock Band in the background, check out Blackpink's Coachella performance of DDu Du DDu Du. Or better yet their DDu Du DDu Du Encore Remix at the Tokyo Dome.
I think you'd really like Lisa’s “New Woman” and Rose’s Gone
Do explore k-pop. Blackpink and YG (company under which blackpink is labelled) have their own genre, overall k-pop groups have wide wide range of songs from balled to rap to blues it'll really be a fun experience
You should minions movie that released this year, they use boombayah as background sound 😊
i see blackpink i click
Thank you!
If you want guitar… try ddu ddu from the 2019 Coachella
You can try the kpop band Dreamcatcher.
React to Shut down and they were the Coachella headliner of 2023
Also Side Effects by Stray Kids is the craziest song - definitely some psychedelic music in there, but I don't even know how to describe it!
BoombaYEAH he said😂❤
No offence
Guitar based? listen to 'Gone' by Rose. It's mostly guitar and great vocals.
I recco the song from blackpink titled “Tally” ❤❤❤
Its not kpop, but he used to be an kpop idol. You should react to DPR Ian. He is very interesting to listen & watch❤
Dream Pop/Shoegaze RM- Heaven, ONF - The Realist TXT - Ghosting
As far as your request goes for other "a bit different" K-Artists... here 10 suggestions as entry points (I only follow female artists): Dreamcatcher "Justice", Billlie "Ring Ma Bell", ARTMS "Pre1: Birth", (G)I-DLE "Tomboy", BiBi "Animal Farm", Rolling Quartz "Fearless", Purple Kiss "Sweet Juice", Moonbyul "Eclipse", Yena "DNA", ITZY "Nobody Like You"
Lisa. The Thai wonderchild.
LISAAAAAA
I suggest you react to Jimin - Who. He is member of the most popular and famous group right know in the world - BTS. I think you like this song
React to Jennie Mantra MV
Jisoo obsession
Please also reacting to BLACKPINK - HOW YOU LIKE THAT
I didn’t see your reaction to APT. so I’m not gonna say anything about that - but it’s interesting that the girl in this video who made you go “oh, right!” was actually Rosé.
Rock is not that popular in kpop I feel like, but I also love a good pop rock song and since you said you liked rock/guitar based songs I thought about (G)I-DLE songs that I would label as rock:
Songs with video:
- Tomboy (written by Soyeon, 2022. One of their biggest hits ever and probably also one of my favorite songs ever by them. Genre: alt-rock, pop punk)
- Allergy (written by Soyeon, 2023. Also a pop punk song, but less rock than Tomboy. The video for this is being continued in their song Queencard, which is the most popular song they ever released. Queencard is "just" a pop song, but I love the song and it's literally their biggest hit, so you should definitely watch them back to back to get the storyline)
- Never Stop Me (written by Soyeon, 2022. I love that song. The video is named '말리지 마' LIVE CLIP on their channel. Genre: pop rock)
- Love (written by Soyeon, 2022. Not sure if you'll like this one, but it the genre is soft rock)
- Giant (Yuqi solo song written by Yuqi, 2021. Genre: pop rock)
- Bonnie and Clyde (2021, also an Yuqi solo song and maybe even my favorite. Genre: Dance rock)
Non-singles, meaning no official video:
- All Night (written by Yuqi, 2023. Genre: pop, but heavy guitar)
- Liar (written by Yuqi, 2022. Genre: rock)
These songs represent their rock side the best I think, maybe I forgot some, but these are the ones that came to mind.
Defenitily not poppy so I would rec all these
Try listening to Rolling Quartz
LALISA Queen of K-pop
A few suggestions: If you want to hear some guitars in Kpop, you could try Day6. Also, someone who I think is criminally underrated in Kpop is Ailee. Her vocals are out of this world. But my personal favorite artist is not a Kpop artist, but the Japanese British singer Rina Sawayama. Her debut album "Sawayama" is simply the greatest album I have ever listened to. I think you'd love it too because of the rock songs on there such as "Who's Gonna Save You Now". Her next album, "Hold The Girl," is amazing as well.
90% of blackpink music video is real not green screen, yeah they got big budget for music video
For the rock you should check Dreamcatcher
