Your videos have pulled me back in this season, and I went on a last minute trip to Philly to go see this game with my dad. Unforgettable experience and it wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for you 🙌
lifelong padre fan here. went to the last 4 playoff games in SD. absolute insane environment. Our city wanted so much to bring this series back home. I still can't understand how Harper never got walked once. such a shame knowing he would end our season even before it actually happened. oh well, next year Padre Fans! hell of a season and we'll be back! #friarfaithful
Harper picked up a pretty decent 2 strike approach from when Corey Dickerson was on the club, Kevin Long works on one for almost every hitter but they don't always use it. Stott wasn't hitting any bombs early and started to show some power when he actually applied his no stride 2 strike approach for entire at abs. Kevin Long really knows what he is doing, look what he's done with Marsh, Angels let him swing like a caveman lol
This was genuinely painful to watch as it happened. Watching Harper walk up genuinely gave me fear because we were so close to brining the series back here to SD, I just knew he was gonna pull through for Philly. I've been rooting for San Diego teams my whole life and was crushed when the Chargers left us. We've had some absolute dogshit sports teams here too. The Gulls, the Chargers, the Padres. Man, I just want a championship for this city so bad. Lets hope 2023 brings out the best in us. Rooting for the Phillies in the WS though!
And Don’t forget to add San Diego St being ranked #1 in college basketball for the first time ever heading into March madness. And then the Pandemic happened And All sports were shut down, and San Diego St never got to even compete for a championship.
@@HighXRoller ngl, I'm not a huge basketball fan, and even less of a fan of college sports, so I had no idea that SDSU was that good in 2020. If anything, I'm a fan of my alma mater (CSUSM, SDSU's little brother up the freeway lol), and we were one win away from making it to March Madness in like 2018 I think. That was a tough loss for my school. Watching all my teams lose has lead me to almost exclusively root for the underdog lol.
Jomboy and Team just... take me back. I used to watch when a kid... the holidays were spent with us betting pennies on the wrap up to the WS... we'd bet on the up to and the Series. my g'pad get drunk on Royal Crown and claim we are all cheating playing poker for nickels while the TV blared in the Living Room. 0:30 and on... this channel is just unmatched.
Jomboy does a better technical breakdown of baseball than anyone on ESPN or FOX. Fantastic breakdown on Realmuto's 2 strike approach. And the piece on Harper taking that change-up is better than anything you'll get on TV. On the split screen of the foul and HR, the HR pitch got the tiniest bit more of the plate than the foul. Great video.
Yo bro....Love this video and your content and definitely the way you broke everything down....Great job.... Plus, this is the first time I've seen your stuff. Keep up the good work ...I liked and subscribed....
Remember when Thor made fun of Bryce Harper talking about bringing a series to Philadelphia but he mistakenly said DC. Now they’re on the same team trying to bring a series to that’s right Philadelphia.
Hope they can keep their hot streak going. Anybody who truly knows Baseball knows that it's a sport of streaks & droughts more so than any other. And the Phillies caught the hot streak at exactly the right time, but unfortunately anyone who knows about baseball streaks knows that in order to keep the streak going u have to keep playing every day. Any breaks or games missed due to injury always wind up breaking the hot streak. Countless times of teams getting hot right before all star break only to lose it after. Or a hitter going on a hot streak then has to sit a few days for a sprained knee and boom! All of a sudden the player couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. So this long pause between series is gonna be a real test to see if the 2022 Phillies are a real league Championship contending unit, or just a team that "caught lightning in a bottle" aka, playing on a hot streak in the streakiest game ever invented, which is baseball.
@@flaccidego4291 I don't think 4 days resting will be good for them but I wouldn't be surprised if their bats are still very hot, I think the bigger threat is how elite the Astros pitching is. The Astros offense has to sit the same amount of time so it evens out offensively, Altuve and Yordan were just starting to hit in the last game of the ALCS and now they have to sit too. I don't think this rest period will hurt either team more than the other. But the Phillies are gonna have to stay hot if they want to have any chance against the Astros pitching staff.

All of y'all want to cry about 2017 but it was rampant across mlb and the dodgers would have crushed the yanks.the Astros were the first team exposed but it was going on everywhere. Do some research. Idiots, those guys are just good and when they sweep the Phillies like they did the alds and ALCS you will still be crying "but 2017!" and the Astros and their fans wont give a shit.

@@kyledaugherty1609 right, but him saying “one of the greatest moments” implies there’s multiple greatest moments. So how does bar none make sense there? Maybe if it was “this was bar none, the greatest moment of my life” it would make sense
Can we all take a moment to appreciate what god level analysis this is? Sure, we all know jomboy is entertaining, but the detailed breakdown of these two at bats is stuff you won’t even see on the big networks.
The 1st pitch Harper swung at, he flew open a little. Like he was trying to pull it. The one he hit out, he stayed on it
Hey Jomboy! Thanks for everything you do. I used to be a huge baseball fan but fell off for years.
I was telling my family that I would have pitched nothing in the zone to him. Basically an int walk every time he was up.
I work there and got to witness the greatness homerun in Phillies history oh my gosh.
Would love to see a breakdown from the ALCS, oh wait the Yankees got spanked so Jomboy’s inbred ass is just going to ignore that series altogether 😂
I dislike the Yankees as much as the next person, but was calling jomboy inbred necessary? Seems like you were referring to yourself than jomboy.
Your team was exposed as a fraud. That will never change, ever.
@@jfayiii oh yeah? what’s my team?
@@AyeSayGangdamn you sound hurt. Jomboy is a legend
So proud of my 2022 National League Champion Phillies. I think we can get back next year and win.
I like our chances even more now😂 next we get some pitchers if not a big one
Harper picked up a pretty decent 2 strike approach from when Corey Dickerson was on the club, Kevin Long works on one for almost every hitter but they don't always use it. Stott wasn't hitting any bombs early and started to show some power when he actually applied his no stride 2 strike approach for entire at abs. Kevin Long really knows what he is doing, look what he's done with Marsh, Angels let him swing like a caveman lol
That’s because marsh is a caveman lol. But seriously it’s impressive beyond belief
"Choking up his bat"
- We have all been there.
That was an incredible moment.
Who can’t be behind the Phillies at this point?
My Phillies shirt is child size and I said if they made it to the series I'd get a new one. Thanks Bryce!
Jomboy media is so far above everyone else. Thanks Jimmy
Fun Fact. That HR broke the Phillies franchise record for most XBH in a single postseason.
Bryce Harper is that dude
Jomboy does a better technical breakdown of baseball than anyone on ESPN or FOX. Fantastic breakdown on Realmuto's 2 strike approach. And the piece on Harper taking that change-up is better than anything you'll get on TV. On the split screen of the foul and HR, the HR pitch got the tiniest bit more of the plate than the foul. Great video.
Honestly, I can't get enough of phillies and bryce and co. Can't wait for another parade
Yo bro....Love this video and your content and definitely the way you broke everything down....Great job.... Plus, this is the first time I've seen your stuff. Keep up the good work ...I liked and subscribed....
This was an iconic hit in the history of the game.
Remember when Thor made fun of Bryce Harper talking about bringing a series to Philadelphia but he mistakenly said DC. Now they’re on the same team trying to bring a series to that’s right Philadelphia.
Finally Bryce Harper, finally!! Rooting for the Phillies in the World Series!!
anybody who is fan of baseball is. nobody likes cheaters
@@skyclaw36 Yup, GO WHATEVER TEAM IS PLAYING THE ASTROS!!!
@@flaccidego4291
Yep I’m thinking right along with you. Would be awesome if Swarber could lead off 💣 that would get em right back to life
“HARPER! THE SWING OF HIS LIFE!”
I was at Chickie’s & Pete’s watchin the game w/ my brother and everyone was screaming, jumpin, some even crying, i hugged the waitress, it was fucking amazing
This hurts to watch as a Pads fan but great breakdown. Suarez was our best reliever all year and Harper just beat him. He was absolutely locked in this series. Congrats Phillies now go beat the Trashtros!!
As a dodger fan, Bryce Harper deserves a ring
I love how the guy throws his beer can down
WAS WAITING FOR THIS!!! LETS GO PHILS!!
All of y'all want to cry about 2017 but it was rampant across mlb and the dodgers would have crushed the yanks.the Astros were the first team exposed but it was going on everywhere. Do some research. Explain the years after. Did the red Sox cheat when the guy who led the cheating in Houston was hired as their manager and they beat the astros? Idiots, those guys are just good and when they sweep the Phillies like they did the alds and ALCS you will still be crying "but 2017!" and the Astros and their fans wont give a shit.
Everyone wants to watch dingers fly....JOMBOY breaks down what makes baseball, baseball.
Been waiting with baited breath for your breakdown. LFG PHILS! 💙❤️
Good luck losing in 5 to the best team in the nation
Wow ! What a great break down ! Really enjoy your passion. That guy with being the first with his hands up after the hit knew even before Bryce ! He reminded me of my father. He had such great ears, he could tell, without even looking when a batter hit a home run. He said it was a certain sound of the bat....every time ! Thanks 4 the great creation...New subcriber !
Who else was waiting for this breakdown 😂
Me lol
1:12 it looks like he is choking up a few inches though…as well as the faster leg kick.
Im still waiting for the yankees vs guardians when they did the baby stuff back at the guardians when they won😂😂😂

No breakdowns of the Astros beating on the Yankees but you do of them beating the mariners and they played a way better series than the yanks
