@@mostlybasic sorry to say this but i take constructive comments seriously which adds value to me as well as the people reading them. I dnt see yours this way !!
The logic which u explained isn't technical.
Likewise all the hardcore touring bikes or even super/sports bikes needs no wind protection beneath!!
The logic is to create less drag, less fatigue & a relaxed long hours of touring session!! It has nothing to do related to the climate. If the bike & its head management is designed well , it will dissipate the heat properly without legs getting tawa fried !!
Dude this has come from an experience of owning 7 motorcycles till now.....i did ladakh ride on my ninja 1000, it heats up badly sometimes....but i am fine because the heat management is so good. Needless to say because of the fairing, i was so relaxed even at speeds of 150 and a 1000 kms a day !!
just do one thing....take a naked or any bike which has no wind protection at the bottom and go on a 4000 kms ride .....and then come back and respond.
No offence but i am being honest, technical & polite !
You wanted an explanatory, here it is.....and I don't agree with you on this !! Rest ur call....i cant explain more
