- Students will create abstract paintings inspired by Jack Whitten's art. Whitten's paintings will be featured in Black Artists in America: From Civil Rights to the Bicentennial, on view at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens from October 22nd, 2023 through January 14th, 2024. This lesson is recommended for students in grades 3-5.
