  • This video explains a problem with my Wolf range that shows a mini explosion when igniting. The problem was solved by inspecting the burner which showed corrosion on the top side near the igniter. The corrosion opened a larger hole on top which accumulated gas.
After replacing the burner, the problem was solved. This issue is a defect with the burner that should have been addressed by Wolf.

Dear Robert Most : This issue WAS addressed by Wolf. Wolf diligently tried to locate all their ranges produced in a certain serial number period. If your range is registered then they would have someone come take care of the burner and igniter repair FREE of Charge. If you contact them and your range is one of those affected they might consider reimbursing you.

I did contact Wolf over 4 years ago on this and at THAT time, they said it wasn't their problem. Perhaps things have changed. Are you a Wolf employee? If so, you could have contacted me about this outside of RUclips. I ended up taking care of it outside of Wolf corporate.

This is definitely the solution and an easy/cheap fix.
