@@ileanageorge9185 I believe its currently 2.9 but the year isnt over. From how i understand it. The Gov's goal is to keep it as close to 2% as they can with being under 3 as the ultimate goal which is why 3-3.5% is the average cost of living raise year over year so citizens can combat it and live life like normal. 3 is the very average and 3.5 is what better employees generally get. 2022 inflation was 6.5%, 2023 was 3.4% and right now its 2.9% which totals to 12.8 over the last 3 years. Not gonna count in 2021 because of covid and whatnot. That means the average year over year raise was 9% or 10.5% if you're getting the extra .5 % raise. Just because the news and the administration throws out big headlines that says "INFLATION IS UNDER 3%" which is technically factual. Doesnt mean its a good thing and times are good. Might end up good if the year over year Inflation keeps falling but it would have to continue to fall for multiple more years before people's pocket books reflect the "good times" headlines are pushing.
She's great at telling us what we already know. Haven't heard a word yet about how she's going to fix it.

Restoring the EIC and Child tax credit? When did the govt stop those two tax credits? I used that tax credit to figure whether I needed to file income tax for 2023. I just checked, and these two tax credits have never been stopped. . . .soooo, what does she mean she will ''restore'' the EIC and Child tax credits?
