Great video Richard, hell of a crop of grass, should of put the rest in the maize side . No shortage next winter for the cows. Good to see jack helping.
Nice video, but I'm concerned that alot of that silage is mostly water from how wet the ground was and the grass was when it went in, But I cant wait to see it being shown to see if it went bad or good
You really should dig that back section out and just pile it back on the front when they clamp is full. By the time you come to use it, its going to well past its best and the cows will turn their noses up at it.
Harry it simple to drive looking at that the front turn the cab stays once you get usedof it when doing silage keep the out sides high .I've driven bigger one the smallest was 4 skups to fill lorry body which are 20 ton 21 max .while artic lorry take 26 ton maximum the biggest I,'ve been on was 1skups the last time I did silage was 410 job back in 80 in Ireland. I used to load 250 lorry in a day a bizy boy then day .silage was the best crack Richard
Hi Again Richard Harry and Jack, That as you say one hell of a lot of grass you could get Air sick up on top of that lot lol, Hope all goes well for your great video as you always do, We all you lovely family you all take care of yourself and stay safe.🚜🚜⭐️⭐️👍👍❤️
It's 11 June here in tipperary Ireland. About to do first cut pit silage this week we got he'll crop off grass. 10 acers more than what we usually cut. The contractor has a new loader pushing up this year. He went from jcb 414s to 419s.
I would agree with Harry not wanting to BuckRake and compact silo incase something goes wrong and u go over the edge I especially wouldn’t be comfortable doing it if young farmer family kids messing around as i don’t want the blame if something happens if they adventure up the pit were shovel or handler is at work
I bet there is a knack to keeping at the right pace to the machine that is collecting the silage, you would want to be brave to operate the machine at the clamp. Why is the old silage at the back? Will this not be used first?
I hope you rolling well with tractor be covering it get it come packed well as the loader can,t compact under raffters if not rolled will have a musty top as Tom pembenton dad ginger says can,t roll it enough he just pressed the front down with forks so a lot of air in it
A very Happy Birthday to Harry. What will the CGI specialist do now? I see that Hazzas' R&D Agri shirt is from B&W Show but could they help you out with sorting out the 35?
Morning funky farmer 20 grazing cows go round the outside round the outside 20 grazing cows go round the outside. How many cows ya got now? I was watching an old video and I think you had 80
Just love when harry tells dad off on farming 😂

In December and winter / spring, we all had lots of rain storms and flooding.
Seems that water made the grass grow 😁
Great for silage
good to see it all done just got the hay to make which was my favourite time on the farm back in the mid 70s hard work but good times

Thanks Fer the 3 part series. Nice to see Harry in your most recent videos.
In Scotland a pint of ‘heavy’ we’d call a pint of ‘best’

The Mount Everest of silage!
Great job good see.back in action
Very nice crop there lad you got more in this year
With great power comes great responsibility!

Well done everyone in the making of Silage 24 …. Crack On 💪💪💪
Well done Everybody. xxxx
Nice crop of grass Richard,
Can't understand why you didn't take the sheet off the old stuff and put some on there instead of all that wasted space at the back of the shed
Ever considered putting excess silage in the other clamp and covering it with the Maize Richard?
Cracking job

Grass juice to moo juice.
Cracking 3 parts. Enough food for daisy and her palls over the winter A full house 🏠 or barn
You were nearly lost for words on top of the clamp near the end

hey Richard! how many hectares moved for first cut ?
Hey it's me wyatt. If you remember me I messaged you on face book before 😊 I remember your 135
Would you not consider using a tractor and weighted packer to compress the grass and improve silage quality?
Hell of aclamp
Time the effluent runs out that it won't be as full
If your silage is a bit damp you might get a bit of grass juice come out of your stack
👍
My bet is that you will use the lot. !
I think that was a Marten rather than a Swallow 🤔
👍👍❤🐮
Good morning the funky farmer
there is a farmer close to were i walk has put up a brand new gate and post but it is tied shut with baler twine typical farmer ?
Morning funky farmer 20 grazing cows go round the outside round the outside 20 grazing cows go round the outside. How many cows ya got now? I was watching an old video and I think you had 80
Defiantly think you should have pulled the old silage back and covered it with this years Rich
👀🙄🐾👍How many bales?
is that from two fields ?
Don't think it was as good a driver on the pit.
You dont know were to put them. Get it in there. And bigger bales less bails. But mind you dont over load your loader. X
You have a hell of a crop of grass
🙏🙏🇮🇪🇮🇪💪💪👍👍
