Before Looks better. With that volume (Curls) you cannot go for that cut since it will make your hair look even more puffy (even more volume). You have to keep the length. Wolf cut doesn't work with such Curls (since read suggestions like that in the comments). And if you are tired of your Curls get a keratin straightening treatment. Done it at home. Took me 3h. Result aren't fantastic but the hair is now manageable. Still enough Volume (curl) that it doesn't look to "feminine" (like a model from a Pantene shampoo commercial).

Great cut! A lot of time I watch the beginning and then skip to the end. Watched this one all the way through. Ive been growing my hair out 18 months now with no cut. Probably go 24 months before I do anything. I want the sides to be level with the back so I’m just letting it grow so when I get it cut the back can be cut up to the sides and still be a good length. I’ve always thought I want to do layers but Im a little worried it could really mess things up either not being good for me or the person cutting them in doesn’t do a good job. I’ve been cutting my own hair for over 20 years so trying to find someone to trust after growing for so long is a little nerve racking.
The hardest part of growing out for long hair is the shorter awkward stages. Not sure if it should be layered as you go or just let it get to this length?
Ideally leave it untouched for as long as you can. That’s always the best way to grow out hair but getting it layered/shape added to it will just help you if you get to a stage where you want to go back short! If you really miss the barbershop then a cut every 3-6 months is always welcome!

Dan, I'm just curious would you approach a woman's haircut in the same way with the horseshoe section or would you do a traditional hot cross bun section? I haven't cut women's hair in years but it was always shown to cut the bottom length 1st. Thanks, Matt.

Oh my God dude, you should tweak the volumes of your dji lavalier system! Your voice sound to loud and echoing because of the small and untreated room. You are great in the hair business! Just make some research on how to use a lavalier system in a small room (when the walls are close to you) and you'll rock even more on RUclips! BTW, I'm watching your videos muted...

Looked great before. Especially as it had a DIY cut too. Taking a bit of length off though and adding shape and movement should help this too great out much better and give Jethro an easier to manage style when it gets back to the before length!
Dan is a great barber. But i have to say been a hairdresser myself i was not impressed ..we are trained differently. The guy would be better at a hairstylist not at a barbers.. looks good before. Then looked a frizzy bob.
