I love hearing musicians I respect, along with someone in-the-know from Zildjian. Excellent! Thanks to you all!

I doubted that I would last the entire hour. Turns out, I enjoyed every minute of it. Well done!

Zildjian, could you please produce hi-hats like those at 9:00? I've been looking for paper thin hi-hats like drummers had in the 20s, 30s, and 40s but everything made nowadays is way too thick. Please do what you did with the Joe Morello and Jo Jones rides!

mtndewman1022 Find some paper thin crashes. That would solve your problem. While hihats might be the exception back then cymbal makers simply made cymbals in different sizes. It was up to the drummers how they used them.

Meinl and Istanbul are making paper thin hi hats, I hope zildjian catches on soon.

@@satanjd666 Everything i've seen from them is dark and dry, I want that early avedis bright and thin sound

mtndewman1022 Find 2 paper thin crashes. It would actually be more accurate to what the drummers used back then since there were no defined models. How a cymbal was used was up to the drummer. K Light Hihats are pretty thin though.

Listen to Adam. Although it’s amazing how versatile the B20 recipe is when manipulated in different ways.

Please do monthly and Paul- mini cup 24 Avedis? Please? I would give my right arm to play it left handed!

I couldn’t help but play ride cymbal chops on my K Custom Medium Ride while watching this lmao

ArtistDrumsX Thats a wonderful cymbal. I have one and I prefer it to the trendy extra dry or even the Sweet Rides which are basically large crashes with a decent stick sound on the bow.

Joe Rico Nice! I have a 20” from 2001. Dry and smooth enough for jazz, but loud and clean enough for rock and similar styles.

ArtistDrumsX I have a 22” from 2018. 3021 grams so it’s heavy enough for louder styles of playing. I’m curious to see how it ages.

If it weren't for Zildjians, I would probably be a lawyer!...

I´m a lawyer and I enjoy my A customs when I get home. My partner at my law firm is also a drummer who loves Zildjian. On my other drum kit I use Sabian AAX and on my third kit Istambul Mehmet Horacio El Negro Cymbals.

So what did he learn from asking the Boston drummer if any of his Zildjian cymbals would be appropriate and was told no, and to get Zildjain cymbals? He learn not to trust drummers? lol
