Thanks! I always learn interesting things from your videos. I'd be happy to see some more examples of LUT use. I use them occasionally but have a lot to learn about unlocking their full potential.
Another awesome ON1 video. Right where I thought I started to master this tool, these subtle tricks opens up brand new dimensions. LUT seemed restrictive to me but proof is learning is an endless journey. Thank you so much for sharing.
That was an immensely helpful video! I’m drawn to LUTs but keep giving up because they always work in some parts and not others. All I’ve ever thought of doing is reducing the overall strength. I feel a bit silly now! 🤣 Now I’ll return to them, renewed, knowing how to keep the strengths and subdue the weaknesses. THANK you (another great video). You’ve taught me so much.
I would summarize what you've said as "once you've done your basic edits, then consider LUTS as a 'creative choice'". Just like in cinematography, LUT usage is not mandatory; it just helps one "tell their/the story of the pic or video.
Hi Scott, I'm very happy to see the come back of your videos about ON1!
Cheers, Jean-Luc!
Another great video Scott. I would love to see one using LUTs on B&W photos.
I’ll put it on the list :)

Thanks for watching, Paul. LUTs are also a less-often used filter for me. If and when the opportunity presents, I’ll keep another “LUT video” in mind.

Thanks for watching. And yes, photography is a lifetime of learning. Have fun!

Sure thing, Caroline. Thanks for watching.

Well put, Marty. That’s my view as well… LUTs are a creative choice, and you don’t have to take the LUT as-is.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the visit.
