with the beginnings of the epidemic brought fear to me, not of the virus itself but the prejudice and discrimination that would surely come with it. unfortunately i was not wrong. isolate the virus, not the people!
To isolate a very contagious virus, you have to isolate the people bcuz the people are the carriers. Isolate the people carrying the virus and work to cure them so it doesn't spread from sick people not being isolated.
@@ricaivory6571 i understand your response, i think you misinterpreted the way i used the word isolate. isolate the virus and not the people was meant to mean, please do not discriminate and be racist towards people because you are afraid of the virus. there is a lot of fear and anger and many people are being hurt physically and mentally just because of their race.
I did the same thing except the goggles part. I was traveling on train to see Amber Liu’s concert in Washington DC ( which I think had 1 or more cases). It was a meet and greet and I was terrified because so many people would be there. I wore my mask everywhere... people were kind of scared of me and avoiding me because of the mask. I didn’t want to give it to my family back home so I was extra careful. Every time I was on the metro I would put hand sanitizer. I remember reconsidering to go because of this virus.. but I pushed through with caution. Now I’m back home.. and glad to have met amber! It’s only been one week since I’ve been back so I’m still in the look out for any symptoms... so definitely fear is dangerous but also makes you careful in anything you do.
Hi, I'm a listener studying in Hong Kong right now. It's definitely a scary time but I think it's important to remember that Cov19 at its core is like any other virus that can be spread. Unless you're in the epicenter, staying vigilant by remembering to wash your hands, wearing a mask outside, and sanitizing your phone/other belongings is the best way to stay healthy. There's a lot of misplaced hate in Europe and the Americas right now, which is sad to see, but even more the reason to stay strong and stay healthy. I wish there were a better way to express gratitude to those who are risking their lives fighting the virus in Wuhan, but for now, all we can do is wish for the best and stay vigilant
I went out to get food today, some guy sneezes without his mask on, and literally it's like the parting of the red sea. Since HK shares a border with the mainland, people here are crazy cautious, so am I to be honest. I immediately sanitised my hands after, and when I got home, I went straight to shower. It's a serious fear, but at the same time, people just need to be vigilant and practice good hygiene.
I am one of the audience who came just to see Epik High's live and even tho I was concerned for your health, i glad you still came to Bandung! Thank you so much for such an awesome performance and i love you guys so much!!!!💜💜💜
Firstly, thank you for going to that length to keep your promise to us Indonesian fans, I was there at the festival and it was LIT!! Second of all, I so agree that the fear of the unknown definitely can bring the worst in people. I read so many articles regarding the virus, which enable me to do certain precautions but I too still feel paranoia everytime I heard people sneeze or cough around me and I hate that I feel that way, but just as you said we have people in our life who we want to protect, its like an evil cycle, so I just hope people who cough/sneeze can understand and not too offended if I suddenly distance myself 😔😩 And I hope we can contain the virus soon.
Lol Diane and Tablo are like two pigeons on the electric wires, one seriously pondering about (useless) (strange) (real) things in life and the other laughing her belly off to the point sometimes Tablo would seriously consider electrocuting her 😂😂😂
Next time just get a mask, sunglasses and hand sanitizer. And remember - Some dude just sneezed/coughed into the palm of his hand, went to open a restaurant/shop/bathroom door, then you come along and open the same door, and at some point in the day you touch your face or your food... You sneeze into your upper sleeve when you don't have tissues people...
I went to that event. At first, I was worried about this because of coronavirus happening and several days before their performance there was news that saying there were suspected coronavirus patients in one of the hospitals in the city where they performed (which also makes me worried because I'm the citizen of that city) and made me think they would cancel the performance for their safety. Fortunately, it turned out the patients are not infected with the coronavirus. And I'm SO thankful that they kept their promises even tho a lot of things going on, and for me, I'm totally ok if they have to cancel and choose not to come to the event because safety is no.1 priority right? I know Indonesia has no reported coronavirus cases, but prevention is better than cure right? but they came to the event, AND THEY REALLY DID THEIR BEST!!😭❤️ thank u so much Epik high!! ❤️
I'm from Msia. During Chinese New year. I flew to another city by plane and the entire time from home to the airport into the plane flying there all the way to the hotel the mask is on it feels suffocating af and like you said, I found myself afraid of other people and even then when I just slightly clears out my throat I see people noticing this small actions or sounds to be sensitive. I hate to feel this way but it's just good people are aware of the virus, but the prejudice and stereotype on people who are Chinese (China's Chinese, Malaysian Chinese, Singaporean Chinese, Indonesian Chinese, etc) like its real. Its crazy but tbh I don't really care as long as I'm protecting myself and the people around me regardless if it's my family, friends or strangers of other races. All is good if everyone is well.
I have been wearing mask on plane even before the outbreaks. Decided to do do after that one time a passenger keep coughing throughout the flight with his mouth open 2 row in front of my seat. That was around 7 years ago. I got a bad case of cough and flu right after that flight to Japan, I work at a pharmacy and I know what drugs I should get but it was Japan and I almost die there 😅
I wonder if they had taken off their anti-CoronaVirus attire, it would've freaked out people on the plane. (The sadistic side of me finds the idea particularly hilarious)/
fun fact: till this day, there are still 0 confirmed cases in Indonesia, we even had 78 peeps not affected at all in a ship full of affected japanese lol
I was listening to this while scrolling through twitter and I clicked on a picture right at 2:40 and it made me think my sound was on lmaooo sorry I just had to share
Spoiler alert I thought the twist she was referring to was going to be that the index patient was the wife and that the company she worked for was doing a lot of deforestation that resulted in animals coming into contact with each other when they normally wouldn’t. So almost like we did it ourselves. I thought it was good because it demonstrates how humans, especially big corporations, are responsible for human harm. Apparently why wet markets are popular is cuz it’s demand is by rich ppl and traditional medicine peeps.
At first I was like its soo smart to add goggles and then i saw the pic and yeah maybe a little suspicious ... but you know what I'd still do the goggles
protection: masks (surgical is fine too) and plenty of hand washing keep your immunity up with vitamins, drink plenty of water too. it's very contagious but not fatal.
"Fear is really scary" (Tablo, 2020)
No one:
Tablo: We have wives and stuff
and stuff lol ai ai
Haru's new nickname...... Stuff
Varunika Rawat i laughed so hard at your sentence 😂😂
Tablo looks like hes going fishing at 6 skiing at 7 and having a literal concert at 8
That's how GD looks at the airport all the time
I screamed
TRUEEEE

Tablo should seriously consider being a Guru or a Shaman in his next life.
I would get broke in like two hours.
I would've been throw off the plane and gotten searched if I had suited up like that lol.
Have to admit, this thumbnail pic looks concerning, but you never know. Safety first!
i get what you mean. I take the bus....and i live near where i work and i work at a public university with a lot of students.

You really looks like Haru with that mask 😂😂
indeed, the fear and the blind panic (and in some cases, xenophobia) it's causing to people is way more dangerous than the covid19 itself...
You did the best✊❤️
Fear made people batshit crazy.
fear is crazy
