I have a Yorkie, they are so full of personality. She will probably end up being the boss of all the other dogs. One thing you will need is a harness for when you put her on a leash. That way it won't hurt her trachea. You will have so much fun with your new baby!
Harnesses are much kinder for any dog. And, yes, it doesn't pull on their trachea. We use harnesses for our toy poodles. Also, when the dog is big enough to sit on a car seat, the harness has a d-ring on the back to which can be attached a dog-seat belt. The belt clips into the car seat buckle, and then clips onto the harness. We have a seat made by Travellin' Dog. It's a rigid seat, with a cushion seat. There's a 3 -way harness to clip onto the dogs harness. The car seatbelt threads thro the actual seat to keep it in place. The seat lifts up to reveal a storage unit for toys, leads etc..plus you have a lidded bowl that attaches to the front of the seat for food and drink if travelling.
I would recommend a harness too, also a a bell so that way you can hear her when she is under feet so you want step on her. All the name the kids called out would be cute. Addison your going to be a great doggie mom!
