I know this is video came out before they were released, but those little hidden pockets by the straps are perfect to sneak an AirTag into in case you lose the bag or have it stolen
i used a razor and cut the bottom out of the 2 small upper pockets (above the molly and hook and loop) now i can fit flashlights knifes and a number of other things with clips down in them
I love my push pack and I had it for 4 years and it shows wear unlike all reviewers. I carry ccw and my heart stuff along with knife, flashlite and basic EDC items. My pack is heavy and is hard on my shoulder, the pad is nice, but the webb will fold with time and make at pressure point even thru the pad. I wish the webbing was more stout to hold its shape. I have added a water bottle carrier that requires two mollies attachments, but one works.
Great review, Aaron. I've had mine for YEARS and it still rocks. I wanted to make one small addition to your review. The velcro strip on the front flap also has a single row of MOLLE. It won't hold much because how loose the flap is, but it's perfect for a carabiner to hold keys or key chain multitools.
I have one of these bags and I believe the "shallow pocket" is meant to hold personal I.D., business cards or even folded cash. I did notice the small shallow pockets on the "yoke" area. I wish the company would have created small pouches that had zippers or velcro closures to prevent loosing gear. The interior pen loops could have also been placed lower inside the bag as well. Otherwise for a daily carrier to run around town it's almost perfect if not perfect as is. The interior organization is practical. And if one puts short bottles inside, you don't advertise that you are carrying water or any beverages. I think it "blends" a little better than the UTG, Rapdom, or some others.... less tactical looking, yet able to serve the same purposes.
I shoot 3D archery. The push pack works perfect. The ccw pocket turned into an arrow quiver. Has molle for my rangefinder and monocular. The water pockets are awesome. Also have room for d loops, serving and allen keys. Snacks and score card. Awesome pack
Appreciate the review. I've been looking for a bag that I can use to hold some patrol items for quite a while, though I've been stuck on which bag to get. This helps quite a bit!
hey brother God bless I have seen two reviews on the 5.11 Push pack and the messeger bag. You give great detail, versatility and pros and cons. Im glad im subscribed.
I was wondering if that Wingman would fit in those shallow external pockets or perhaps a Freestyle or Skeletool? I'm thinking this would be a great "church bag" as we call it in my family. Plenty of room for our bibles a few toys, some diapers, small pack of wipes and snacks. Great review. I like the idea of this bag a lot!
Greetings my friend, I travel the internet looking for a shoulder bag for daily use had thought to go for the first responder bag of NcStar, but seeing your video I liked a lot this push pack of 5.11, the search now down to these 2 which is your opinion, you've tried the first responder? thanks and regards
Zach P I'd think so. I've had one for 4 years & use it regularly for hunting, fishing & foraging. The nice thing about it is there's a (nice) velcro belt loop on the back so you can fasten it to your belt so it doesn't swing all over. I recently bought one of those cloth loop belts that stays on it permanently and I just sinch it tight around my waste. Should be fine for biking

Just a heads up... A full size Nalgene will fit in the side pockets. It's tight, and it won't zip up at all, but I use mine for it all the time.

Your channel is superior to most because you actually use your gear. Have a merry Christmas

Great review man I just bought a almost new barely used one for 40 bucks can't wait to edc it.,!
onpoint1977 Sweet! Its a great bag.
They should have put Velcro flaps over the little strap pockets, then they’d at least be useful to hold a little weed bag or something.
America....the only place where you carry a Bibles and firearms together....
Hahahahaha....

Thanks and yes to allow your questions!
The nalgeen bottle will fit just fine.
You are a very articulate individual. I like your intelligent reviews. I have no patience with dumbf...k youtubers. Great job.
The question is - what was the idea behind the push pack concept
Another great review. Thanks! (I loved Batterson's book, by the way. A real game changer.)
Thanks, and I agree, the book is great!

Hey Gideon, know this is an old video, but hopefully you'll see this. Would you say this is a good bag for cross country biking? (Pedal, not motor)
