Glad you opened this one, I got mine in the mail yesterday but want to avoid opening it for the moment because I know I won’t play it just yet, but thanks to your video I can hold my curiosity a little longer, cheers.
I have to admit I'm not against censorship when it involves nudity. I still say people should be free to choose between censored and uncensored, but the censorship makes me prefer that version of the game.
Thanks so much for this unboxing! I was wondering about the tracks for the soundtrack and I’m bummed that they didn’t include the OP theme. Guess this means I won’t be double dipping. The rest of the goodies are pretty cool too though.
I don't need any of this stuff to enjoy life. But actually, I'm not in a flood zone, house is hurricane proofed with concrete & steel walls, no carpets and good security. I'm not too worried.
ACTUALLY NO! The original Western release was from Spike Chunsoft. This is just based in their Western release, which omits roughly a second of the opening animation. A dumb edit, but it's whatever. Not NISA's doing, though.
@@grantmortensonva I'm aware who the original western publisher is and that it was Sony that forced the censorship. Still doesn't change the fact that NIS America is terrible when it comes to localization. FuRyu should've never dumped Spike Chunsoft.
I already bought that game for PS4. Since it's the same censored one, not worth buying for Switch then. Idea Factory would have censored it too. Idea Factory and NIS are the same. Spike Chunsoft too, and all the others. Except Gamuzumi, eastasiasoft, and qureate. They would have released uncensored.
Only reason I mention Idea Factory is they went way out of their way to uncensor Death End Re;Quest 2 on the Switch. They asked the community ahead of time on Twitter to see if it would be worth uncensoring since they had to splice assets from the first game. But yeah, I'll probably just play my PS4 version of this one mostly since it has trophies.
@@JasonValentineFL That was for the steam version only. Derq 2 for switch is the same as ps4 censored version with one exception. Liliana's glitch outfit doesn't have the neon blue cape it's actually see thru. But the derq 1 casts glitch outfits are all the same censored PS4 versions. I was so angry to find that out. Not to mention needing to play it 3 times to get the different "endings".
@@mattdevost3855 Nope, Derq2 on Switch is uncensored. I was working on an elaborate video to showcase the differences, but never finished it. Edit: I should probably clarify, I was comparing the NA ESRB versions, not sure if the European/Japanese versions are any different.
@@JasonValentineFL that's the versions I have for both PS4 and switch ,NA, and the only single difference I've noticed between PS4 and switch versions is Liliana's glitch mode outfit. It's def not derq 1 outfits so what other real differences are there?
@@mattdevost3855Heh, I don't know how else to tell you. The uncensored outfits from 1 are in the 2nd game on Switch, just like the Steam release. I literally played both PS4 and Switch versions at the same time and made recordings of it. All DerQ1 glitch mode outfits were censored on PS4 in DerQ2. The Switch version uses the DerQ1 assets to keep them uncensored. The terrible thing is that there is no way of knowing what the new characters glitch outfits would have looked like if not for the additional censorship, so of course all of the new characters are unchanged.
the so called censorship in the switch version isn't a big deal or even worth mentioning. glad this game got ported to the switch though, always was strange this game didn't get ported at the same time as the PS4 release whereas this was the case for all of FuRyu's other games at the time.
Wasn’t the publisher originally SpikeChunsoft. I mean, look how long it took spike to release the danganronpa games to switch. Heck, which reminds me…where’s Zanki Zero, and the Nonary games Zero Escape of games, and Conception 1 remaster. Thankfully NISA it’s thanks to them since it’s likely they pleaded to GemDrops/FuRyu to get the publishing rights for porting the game to switch.

What a fantastic edition matey! So getting this but it’s so over priced in Australia on eBay!

can you do other psvita unboxing please ? good video

Does it make the switch fan kick in? Trying to decide to get this for PS4 or Switch.
Ur my favorite youtuber.
That's nice to hear, I appreciate it!
What if you will have fire or flood in your house and all your precious boxes will be destroyed? :)

censored? not buying it then I dont support censorship
NIS America is known for censoring games they localize. I'm going to import the Japanese PS4 version.
