Hi Mark, I've not commented on anything for a while, firstly well done to you for helping Sam out etc. I know he is struggling at the moment to make ends meet and can do with all the orders he can get for the excellent Verso CU's etc. This is another one of your very neat board installations as always by you.
Very best regards from Ray (the old sod 81 now) from North Wales.
As a spark of 30 years I have been in a few boards. Some precision with conductors tyrapped and cut to exact size, looks great but not ideal when modifying done the road. Then there is the snakes wedding boards, wires coming and going from everywhere, scared to poke about them incase it flashes over. What you want is one wired for easy maintenance and not jammed to the roof with ccts. So your job there is good, I would be happy to work on that in the future. All the best.
I do like the idea that you over sized the board to allow for future expansion like an Energy monitor or PV/EVSE/Battery
You are experienced with consumer unit nice and tidy work👍
Love your work i learn bits by bite 😉
Have you ever fitted a recessed board yet Mark?
Yes plenty mate. Think a couple of them made it into RUclips videos along the way lol.
Nice work Mark. Do you use a fire seal mastic in the back to plug the holes or a fire exspanding foam?
Fire sealing should be done outside the CU when needed. Fire grommets are a good solution but never use mastic or fire seal in a board.
Who sells these boards, Mark?

@@electrician247 Thanks Mark.
Only tried these consumer units the once so far.
What did you think of the factory fitted ferrules on the neutral leads?
Thanks Mark.
They were fine, fold in ferrules nice and solid.
