This is an incredible example of how important recording techniques are. Amazing song. Incredibly underrated. Kirkman and the walking dead are really cool for featuring such unique artist and giving them that exposure.
This makes Beth Greene so much hotter, some farmhand from rural Georgia who listens to Waxachatchee, Be still my Heart!

The songs basically saying "If you were my boyfriend, you'd hurt me or I'd disappear" and Beth disappeared right after that table scene when she realizes Daryl has feelings for her.

too bad they never got to confirm that, now it really got me confused whether or not that was true after watching the mid season finale
Harmonizer808 yeah too bad. they killed off Beth. and left us not knowing what Daryl thinks of Beth in the end. I mean come on, what's the fucking point of putting these characters together after all? "TO FURTHER DARYL'S STORYLINE?--his vengeful character?"
swissnsnow I know, I wanted to see so bad of where that was gonna go. Even the actress that plays Beth wanted to see it happen.
As much as I wanted Bethyl to be canon, I don't know that it would have happened. At the beginning of the song she sings "And I don't want to be your girlfriend" but then she might have had a change of heart to skip the line at the end. They clearly care about each other a lot but is that friendly caring or romantic caring. I feel like they would both be too scared to actually confess their feelings. The writers killed her too quickly. I mean, a shot to the head? If she had to die then do it slower so her character can resolve everything.
The collage of sound and lyrics, esp. her voice, makes this eargasmic. I'm kind of in love.

I think the original version is pretty amazing!
I heard Emily Kinney's version on The Walking Dead first, and liked it. I then heard Waxahatchee's version, and liked it even more.
Emily Kinney's version is very mainstream. But you need to have eclectic music taste in order to appreciate a music genre like Waxahatchee. It's like a painting, not everyone gets it. I'm glad many people like the Emily Kinney version though. Makes my liking of Waxahatchee more personal =)
