This was the first movie that made me cry. Had me in tears at 9 years old gasping for air💀
It was the second one for me. The first was bridge to terabithia, and I cried so hard I legit couldn't breathe. This just broke me inside and I silently sobbed on the couch.
I love that the movie AND the book where literally only written so miley could star in it, like they literally called nicholas sparks up and where like, "do you have project for miley?" and he was like "i could make one" and he did. Iconic
I remember her saying in an interview the director let her pick her own character's name and picked "Ronnie" since its her grandfathers name. Though that was so cute.
It was the characters name in the book so it was probably a happy coincidence

When people think of early Miley Cyrus music, normally people first think of “The Climb” or “Party in The USA”…. I will always first think of When I Look At You! One of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard growing up. This movie has me in shambles every time, especially that last scene

i went with my grandma to see this movie in theaters thinking it was just a sweet romance. her best friend of 20 years had just died of cancer less than a week before. this movie was a terrible choice. ruined us both.

I love this movie, it breaks my heart every single time, and proves what a great dramatic actress Miley really is. Shame that her and Liam didn't last, they have excellent chemistry here. 😍

I hear ya. I also stayed away from certain movies when my dad was sick, too. I ended up getting blindsided by a fave show of mine where one episode the main character’s mom died. It was rough. I’m kind of glad it happened looking back at it though because everything was portrayed so accurately, it sort of helped me prepare.
I was crying with my sister in the cinema like little babys and the guy next to us just ate his fucking popcorn like nothing special is happening 🤣
