I started posting again on facebook and was surprised how many people are still using it and it's real organic people not influencers, not gen Z who are onto a new trend every other day.
Interesting stats Millie! I've also noticed how short-form video content is really taking off. I've been using boost app social to create some rad reels and stories. It's like it's built for this era of social media.
I'm so new and still trying to "get steam". LOL. Thank you for all you teach! I'm a Gen X but love the energy of the younger generations. Not to mention I love how brilliant you are. I'm learning while trying to survive my day job, so a little slow going. You help me learn and keep me motivated!

Whats the five year trend? One year seems a small sample size. Yes, I understand 5 years is an eternity online, but what other variables can they break down? Gender, Race, Nationality? Those generational tags seem kind of arbitrary and more of a marketing gimick. Great job, Millie. Love your content and inspiration. Cheers.

I have six different Facebook communities that I'm running and two of them are quite large or growing while the others I haven't been able to grow. I'm actually Gen x so I need to learn a lot of the stuff cuz I'm used to having a website and developing content on a static page, although I've been using social media forever but I'm still new to the tags and trying to learn all these other things as I have a RUclips channel for the Madonna fan club that I run and have been running since 1991 when it was in print form. So community is everything that I'm about! But I'm still not somebody who uses stories cuz I like to write long posts that's the writer in me LOL anyway, this is great information!
I only use Twitter, Pinterest and RUclips. Deleting Tiktok in 6th grade was probably the best thing I did for myself after seeing all the crazy loons that have joined now. I used to have Snapchat in 4,5 and 6th grade but stopped using it and not many people use it anymore. I just recently made a Twitter and Pinterest account this year.

Not losing steam. Although, I still think, even with trends, knowing where your audience hangs out is better information to your niche than huge trend swings. For me, I create content for homeschoolers. My demographics are main women (89%) and men (11%) with ages in the 32-45 range. Most of my audience is hanging out on FB (in groups) and IG. I tried targeting in TT, but I couldn't gain traction like I could on the other platforms. I could get views, but it wasn’t translating into web click throughs at the same rate as IG or FB. I absolutely love these videos to keep in the back of my mind what Gen Z is focusing on. They will be my target audience in a few years, so knowing where to piviot will be vital. Thanks! I LOVE a good numbers/trends videos. ❤️
I'm not losing steam! my audience is a mixture of older & younger - newbie artists, and people interested in art. I've only done a little on RUclips and it's already gaining steam!
