Very thorough and professional job. Great how you show the mistake and then correct it. Well done- a beautiful boat.Worthy of the care and attention you are giving her. John
Good to see another video, glad you got the cleat problem solved. The wood work on the boat is stunning only when you see close up's like that you appreciate the detail👍🏻👏⛵🏴
Thanks for the long awaited update Gabriele! Man, it is so nice to see you making mistakes but fixing them in a way that is better than originally designed and improving them! A true perfectionist! Can't wait till you upload a video sailing her... ;-) edit: That straw trick is brilliant!
Hi Gabriele! I am sorry but I had to laugh out loud (LOL) at 12:57 . I was not expecting you to say "F*cking horrible stuff!". But I think you fixed the mistake very well. Or should I say "very F*cking well!" : - D As for me, I thought about going sailing today but it was a little on the cold side and maybe too windy for my 6 meter sailboat. But I still hope to go sailing before really cold weather comes. Scott W
Very useful video since I want to change all six cleats on my HR36 MkI. Tell me, was it hard to remove the old ones? I think I just can take the nuts of on the inside and then hammer the bolds upwards?
sea4see Thanks Gabriele! HR Parts told me that they likely next spring have the exact same cleats as my original ones in stock. And also pre-bend bolts. In that case I won’t have to drill and the installation will be much easier....
Ahah ah ... hope for you but I wait 2 years to get original ones but never arrived... same reply....they got a problem to find someone produce it.. I saw the raw model...ps:.. bend a bolt is a piece of cake 😁
Noticed you installed the EXTRA PLATE between the bolts on the INSIDE. Be sure not to HANG your boat by having a CONTINUOS (no slack line) on a FIXED PIER. Without proper use of appropriate SPRING LINES...I HUNG my catamaran as the TIDE went OUT. The only thing that SAVED me was the CLEAT PULLED OUT of the deck (unlikely in your case). So...be careful.
Hey Romeo!!! Don’t worry I sail where the tide is maximum 20 cm to 50 cm...in any case I know how to deal with this problem...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 and thx to remember me the event!!!!

No sealant around the chain counter cable.

sea4see I already contacted a party who can 3D scan the original one and CNC mill it.... so that is my back-up plan!
Great!!! Remember to use the correct marine aluminium.....
