I've just done new year here. Out of season but opens up again for chrismas and new year. 90k plus on the beach etc for New year celebrations, big stage and bands. It was very busy over chrismas then closes again for Jan - end of march although some bars etc are open as there's 40k residents live here. Weather was 18degrees for 4 days then got a bit cloudy. A great place. Much more chilled from November time, no huge crowds everywhere and the new strip has limited bars open but still ok to visit
Same here. Had 4 or 5 holidays there and thought we had seen enough, but watched Kevins visit last year, and ended up booking again for this year. Going in 4 weeks.
Albufeira old town is brilliant, yes Kevin I agree it is a bit hilly, we have stayed at the Sol e Mar hotel.you do not have to use the stairs to get to hotel, you can access it through the tunnel onto beach area, with a swipe card. No stairs for me thank you.
Really enjoyed watching this, some great information. Albufeira looks a great place at night. We have booked a villa in Olhos D'Agua next September , so not sure how far that is but hopefully we will be able to get there at least a couple of evening. Thanks again
Going with a few mates in 2 weeks, am on the younger side (All 21/22) Strip definitely seems up our alley but might have to give this a visit, looks like a brilliant atmosphere.
@@justinscholty8871 Mix of all ages tbf, mostly young on the main strip though of course. Only seen 2 or 3 groups of British believe it or not, the rest were mainly Irish, few Dutch, Spanish etc
Hi Bud thank you for the formative vids what month is this im thinking of going early November it looks warm in the day & is it busy on a night out on the wknd? I have been to to old town in August and sept it was busy then. I preferred the old town the street of bars with live singers & food places was good then the next street over bar ally with little clubs was good i I definitely preferred the old town
I love Albufeira so much for the lovely clear blue cool calming and relaxing Atlantic ocean and the beautiful golden sandy beaches followed the wonderful enjoyment of the atmospheric night life in the old town and The Strip. I visited twice and each time I felt emotional when it was time to come home I wanted to cry. The beers are not expensive, I took out £60 euro for food and drink for a night out for 4 hours, unless you're eating lobster which you might need to take a card with you. The best time to go for the nightlife is September as the sun sets around 19:30-20:30 and it's all lit up. Lots of bars provide entertainment including bands plus a show in the town square. One bar worker informed me a lot of bars close in October as the tourist season ends and won't reopen until March. If you need time out or The Great Escape, Albufeira is the place to go. If I win the lottery I would buy a villa there. I ❤ u Albufeira, already looking forward to my next visit.
Hi Kevin were thinking of going to Albafura any Reference on where to stay near old town ,, we like live music .karaoke etc ..Jim & Iris were late in our 60's but love our holidays is specially Tenerife we watch your blogs a lot
Hi Kevin your comment about not bringing just a card might be not quite correct as family who spend long periods of time there say you can use cards as anywhere they go they are accepted. You have a different experience fair enough maybe you should have some cash in case card machine broken etc but in general cards are widely used and accepted.
What do you mean? the smaller teams, the biggest game tomorrow is Hibs v st mirren and you are getting a skelping young Kevin lol 😂 toots granton Edinburgh 👍🏴🍺🥃
st.mirren shocking first half manager made mistake with team and formation 2nd half Hibs were hanging on at end , Saints will need to beat Hearts next week but think I will owe you a pint cant see us finishing any higher with Celtic away to come.
@@ScotsmaninTenerife you never know? still all to play for,as for the pint I hope to get it in Tenerife with you there, here's hoping.toots granton Edinburgh 👍🏴🍺🥃

Thank you for your video. We are here at the moment and it’s brilliant. Found a few pubs for our age group 60+ on the strip towards the top end.
Thanks
Thanks again Kevin. Going in 10 days. ❤
You are so good with the locals
Vila Recife is great. Love that it's so close to Eddys Bar
The part where you said I'm not sure what's up there ( near the restaurant where the guy was showing menu) that leads to the marina, lovely area

Any tips on hotels? I'm looking at sol e mar on the old town beach but the no outdoor pool is a dealbreaker haha. Cheers
Thanks for info, some great advise👍
Good video. Gives a good idea of what the place is all about. Any good tourist places to go on trips for families?
Here at the moment and it is everything you said. The Black Bull has rock music on on Tue and Sundays. Brilliant band

Anywhere near square but not much karaoke more live music
Great videos! When I get there in June I look forward to taking it all in🥳😀🍹🥂🌞😎🏖 Are we permitted to walk around with an alcoholic beverage?
Thanks , not sure tbh
You can make anything in Albufeira and in all of the Algarve region but with moderation. Welcome to Portugal.
Is it easy enough to get cider in the pubs there?? The likes of magners, coperberg..??
Yip
did you visited Armacao de Pera too?
not yet
Armação de Pêra it's smaller than Albufeira but a good place to be as well.
You prefer here or Tenerife?
Great thanks showing 3 days to im there ,
Thank lord we changed up to euros when price was good. Thanks
yip bad rates
Hey mate , do you have a defined list of places you recommend for live music in old town

When you back in tenerife
End of summer probs
Says on most weather apps it's due to rain the majority of next week when in there is that reliable ? Surely not ...
Hope not !
Thanks bud...
We gonna be there for a lads weekend in October...👍
Have fun
Ironically its the lads weekend types that make it so bad.
Are there many lucky lucky men around?
A few
5 euro for local beer in Central Station 😂😂😂😂😂
You prefer Tenerife or Albufeira?
Tenerife in winter for sure, for weekend break prob pick Albufeira with short flight.
Puerto del Carmen lanzarote better than both in my opinion
I thought that’s German talking at the beginning of the video 🤣
I can't wait to go, I've been from Lisbon to Porto but not to the Algarve.
Jest come back from there
Absolute rubbish Vila Recife has been closed down in 2023 and all bars take cards as they had too during COVID , talks so much rubbish
Lol
Covid is done, and he's right...most don't accept card (working and living here)
Your accent is way too strong. No effort was made to speak internationally understandable English.
Lol
Bats😂😂...
