One of the weird ironies of 2077 is that, to make the game actually feel memorable to traverse and exist within, they had to make it some of the most human-friendly design spaces to ever be 3D-rendered. The mega-towers, despite being concrete blocks, have fairly sizeable apartments, accessible shopping spaces, and community areas for no-cost recreation. Same with the street-level stuff: You can't create memorable places with car-centric streets because people just drive through them and don't see what's there. As a result, all the important areas of the game are pedestrianized. To help with player navigation, every area has distinct buildings and landmarks, and distinct styles of architecture that need to be memorable at the pedestrian level, rather than just from a plane or in some architect's portfolio. A real-world dystopian city is just stroads and strip malls, with car-packed streets and generic buildings with no lasting presence. That's the world we have in most cities.
I personally think this is the best of all the apartments V can get in the game. Maybe because this is the apartment they are in when so much happens to them, it just gives me nostalgia and comfort. It feels like a safe haven in a very unsafe world.
Sometimes I just miss the game after playing it dry but I just want the comfort and atmosphere it brings me, so you quite literally are a God to me lol. Thanks ;)

Ive now been using this video as my "go-to-sleep" vid. I turn it on big TV, skip to "rain" part, and then set TV to turn off in 30 minutes. Feels great falling to sleep listening to the sound of rain in Night City.

I remember the first time I played this game. It was around the time people were still complaining about bugs. But I still gave it a shot, cause I was still curious. Well lets just say, this is the only game that almost made me cry when Jackie died since he reminded me of me and my brother. The story was just so damn good, and I constantly found myself getting hooked to the game and sometimes feeling like I'm actually in the city. Not to mention the graphics were actually pretty impressive at the time as well. Now that they've added all the updates I've been talking about, I can't wait to play the game again so I can go through the story a second time with all the fixed bugs and updates!

Sometimes I wish I could have a netrunner chair in my apartment to do a lot more with, not just some pc. Would love to explore the net to find unique schematics by exploring the net.

I used AK47OG's Blade Runner 2077 Better Finer Rain mod! I installed the 24/7 version then just cut the rain and vanilla visuals together in the editing.

Could you do this for real time durations? Or, at least, crop out the last sunrise. I mean, if you could, I think it would be a good idea to do a sunset to sunrise video spanning aproximately 8 hours (you could even do 6, 8 and 10 (and 4 and 12) for people in different places of the earth where we have different night lengths) so that we can put it at night and wake up to the sunrise. Otherwise, you could do a sunset to nighttime (without sunrise) that lasts a few hours, so that we can fall asleep to it and not get hit with the sunlight (which actually triggers a neurological response to wake up, so it's hard to fall asleep for a while after that if you see it).
