Love this " show" you guys are the reason I got into this hobby . I built 6 of the planes you guys have and all 6 are still flying GREAT!!! I've also built 3 multi ( 2quads ) ( 1 tri ) and they are awesome . I have also gotten into FPV thanks to you guy$ lol. At 43yrs old and never flew anything after 1 year I'm totally hooked and now flying anything I want . THANKS GUYS !!!
I loved the flight video and this follow up on how you built them brought it all together! The fact that you guys get so into these builds and and have so much fun with the hobby makes watching very enjoyable!
I built a 400% Old fogey a while ago, i added a plywood firewall, and carbon fibre bracing for the wings. On the first flight the elevator control rod fell off, but it flew so smoothly i didnt notice until 15 minutes later when i landed it. Its now sitting in my shed.
@pual hicks the biplane that they made (baby blender) is actually based off a larger version they built first. You can check that out in the "will it blend" episode.
I would like to see a large FT-3D... I think the viggen would be a MASSIVE undertaking, but seeing if the FT-3D can still perform as the smaller version would be interesting to see. I also would like to see the Mustang, but I think that would as impressive as David's Spitfire.
I LOVE the Mustang (it's fun in the simulators too) and the F4U Corsair. I wonder how the P-38 Lightning would handle as an R/C with the twin engines...
Probably like their ft cruiser... I think they are going to make a plan for it. After they released plans for the Mustang that there will be 2 more warbirds.
I would love to see a supersized FT3D. I absolutely love the way the big 3D Yak flies in my simulator, and it would be amazing to have one this affordable.
I challenge you guys to put as many motors as you can on an airframe, plane or multirotor, any size. The more motors the better! I just want to see something crazy!
Would love to see the Versa Wing Pusher in supersize. The thought of an extra large wing as a FPV/camera platform would be an amazing thing to see in flight.
Please do monster FT3D or Simple Soarer.. Simple Soarer like Davids glider from the challenge, but even bigget and reinforced properly.. Thatd be MAJESTIC
I've never built, owned or flown any RC anything. I'm not even sure if I would - but I love watching this channel: just because I'm always in awe of the skills and enthusiasm of these guys. Well done. Subscribed :)
you have to put two more motors on the cruiser, also for the flying wings, you should try putting the power pods on the the control surfaces (major thrust vectoring)
Great job as usual. Just wondered what the weight of each Monster turned out to be. I assume you're using 3mm foamboard? A big Viggen might be fun :) I have an 84" trainer sold as a kit by a small UK firm call Paper Aviation which I think is made from mostly foam board but with a more conventional build. eg foam ribs for a built-up wing. I fly it on 2 4S 3600mAH in pll and a 5055 700 kv motor with a 14x7 prop. I picked it up part built and finished it, Flies well and moderately aerobatic
Hello, excellent work you guys do, you inspire us to build something like you do. I would like to see something like an acrobatic plane like the extra 300 or edge 540, where we could practice some acrobatic patterns like mini imac. Thank you for sharing all your work and hope to be able to support you as well.
I would love to see yall do the arrow! It look much like today's B2 Bomber in the air! Plus i would love if yall made the Stuka dive bomber. My friends and I have bomb drop compositions but we dont have any that actually look like dive bombers.
A real turbine ...in a foam airplane? Now THAT is a challenge. But very expensive and that takes the fun factor out. Multiple EDF units would work tho :)
NOW you've done it! I already wanted to see a refined, version 2.0, full sized Blender. Now I *really* want to see that. Maybe even bigger than the original Blender.
Ok here is a challenge for you.... 200% (or more) F-18, with Dual EDF, and of course the (fake) afterburner flames for Josh Scott. Love the show, Thank You for all you do, you guys have really gotten me into flying.
A friend of my has super sized a Wonder from SIG. He called it the Miracle. Powered by a .45 and it launches directly out of you hand. Super agile and a glider when coming in for landing. Maybe a good idea for you fellows. The Bloody Miracle.
AWESOME!! For a couple of suggested airframes to super-size, how about Dusty and Ripslinger? And I have to join everyone else with a vote for the Viggen.
I left Ideas/Challenges in the Forums Titled "Several Scratch Build Challenges for thought. I DARE you to build these!" as onewhoistoasted. 4x8 Foam don't have to be used but the Planes Listed would be nice to see built.
Ok guys lets try this. A FT B-25. It is my favorite plane and would be great for bomb drops. Even if you dont choose this one what ever you do will be a great plane. Keep up the great work. Oh ya happy 400!!!!!!!
Enjoyed immensely , thank you. I bet others would love to have a build video sometime if you start doing a few of these big ones a year. It would be nice. Yep. To big for me to carry or put together unfortunately but still awesome.
Awesome tips guys! Oh here's a suggestion for a plane, how about the versa wing...Oh wait you did, it's called the Kraken!!! Now give us the plans!!! Actually, I accidentally printed out the FT Duster 125% scale and it looks great, just haven't maiden'd it yet. It may be a great 200% plane too!
Hey guys, love your videos!! Have you ever reproduced a Burt Rutan design like the VariEze or a Quickie or Spaceship One? That would be awesome! Might be a bit harder to build but coolness factor off the charts!! Lots of private pilots around that would like to have them. If you do one, contact the EAA (eaa.org) and see if they will put a mention and pics in their Sport Aviation magazine and website. Their magazine goes out monthly to ~160,000 members. Best regards and keep up the good work. Mike
I echo some of the requests for a Corsair, but I'm thinking of that and maybe a few others in a 150%. Not so large (like the 200%) that the batts, ESC and motors are crazy expensive, but bigger than your basic park flyer 40ish inch wingspan.
There used to be a great trainer by Great Planes called PT-40. It would be great if you could make one similar to that with foamboard. Or anything similar to PT-40, basically a huge trainer. BTW, David, did you shed some weight?
you guys got me into flying im about to go get materials to build the cruiser. can you please please do a monster build of the guinea pig. i would be forever greatful and in your debt
I grew up flying with my Father in a BC12D Taylorcraft. Do you guys think you could build something in line to a high wing tail dragger at larger scale?
How about the Old Speedster or the FT Racer. I had a local print shop make 200% plans for the ft racer and im going to build it out of 4'x8' foam board.
I no you guys most likely won't, but I would love to see somthing I don't think anyone has done yet! How about a 200% knuckle h quad or a bat bone, or somthing outrageous in the quadcopter area , that would be epic. By the way good show. And I would like to start a potition to stop Dave from going back to Sweden. Any one second that motion lol.. love you guys..
This is why you guys rock. It takes a lot of experience and thinking out of the box to make a working model at this scale using foamboard. Well done!!
Love this " show" you guys are the reason I got into this hobby .
I built 6 of the planes you guys have and all 6 are still flying GREAT!!!
I've also built 3 multi ( 2quads )
( 1 tri ) and they are awesome .
I have also gotten into FPV thanks to you guy$ lol.
At 43yrs old and never flew anything after 1 year I'm totally hooked and now flying anything I want .
THANKS GUYS !!!
1. Have you tried using 3-D printer to make the parts?
2. How did you train the crocodile to fly?
I loved the flight video and this follow up on how you built them brought it all together! The fact that you guys get so into these builds and and have so much fun with the hobby makes watching very enjoyable!
I built a 400% Old fogey a while ago, i added a plywood firewall, and carbon fibre bracing for the wings.
On the first flight the elevator control rod fell off, but it flew so smoothly i didnt notice until 15 minutes later when i landed it. Its now sitting in my shed.
I wonder if a supersized FT Bloody Wonder would go vertical? My vote goes to the Bloody Wonder.
Great episode guys.
In the process of building a 2.4m Piper Cub out of coroplast, thanks for the tips guys!
Not going to lie, that was one of my favorite episodes.
Thank you guys
@pual hicks the biplane that they made (baby blender) is actually based off a larger version they built first. You can check that out in the "will it blend" episode.

Probably like their ft cruiser... I think they are going to make a plan for it. After they released plans for the Mustang that there will be 2 more warbirds.
A "supersize" viggen with folding props on the drop tanks like the eurofighter at Neat fair last year!
Awesome job guys
I think you all need to make a supper sized viggen with like a 90 mm edf :)
awesome planes great job!!
You have my vote, it would be amazing
That would be crrrraaaaazzzzzzyyyyyyyy
or maybe 120 mm EDF :)
JonitFR
buhahahahaha
Don't know if it's been said but to bend the plywood you can also wrap it in a wet towel and place it in a microwave to steam it uniformly.
Here I am, sitting through a whole build tip video when I don't even plan on building anything.
That's just how enjoyable your videos are.
200% FT Viggen. If you can get an EDF big enough.
I second this. Please!
2 90mm Fan in a Viggen
I would love to see a supersized FT3D. I absolutely love the way the big 3D Yak flies in my simulator, and it would be amazing to have one this affordable.
I challenge you guys to put as many motors as you can on an airframe, plane or multirotor, any size. The more motors the better! I just want to see something crazy!
A large Biplane would be awesome! Or even a cargo plane like the one foam and tape built, thanks guys! Great work!
modify the Viggen airframe so it accepts 2 EDFs (or even turbines!), and turn it into a Dassault Rafale or Typhoon, supersize of course
Takeshi M
I agree, but turbine might be a little overkill
Ft f22 EDF would be coooooool. 200%.
Monster Sea Duck! I saw it in the flite fest video and would love to have the plans.
Would love to see the Versa Wing Pusher in supersize. The thought of an extra large wing as a FPV/camera platform would be an amazing thing to see in flight.
Cold war pairing, B52 and TU-95, big bombers flying and dropping goodies. Keep up the great work.
Please do monster FT3D or Simple Soarer.. Simple Soarer like Davids glider from the challenge, but even bigget and reinforced properly.. Thatd be MAJESTIC
xFunTomCZx Oh, yes please.
I've never built, owned or flown any RC anything. I'm not even sure if I would - but I love watching this channel: just because I'm always in awe of the skills and enthusiasm of these guys. Well done.

you have to put two more motors on the cruiser, also for the flying wings, you should try putting the power pods on the the control surfaces (major thrust vectoring)
for people who want tiled plans, the rasterbator is a program that allows you to make tiled printouts of large images.
Rasterbator
One letter away from an awkward conversation...
:-)
Great job as usual.
Just wondered what the weight of each Monster turned out to be. I assume you're using 3mm foamboard? A big Viggen might be fun :)

So full of information and inspiration! Thanks guys, great stuff,FT rocks!
I want to see monster quads and tri-copters! Where is the area of diminishing returns on the length of arms!
Super-sized viggen! Would be awesome to see one before David leaves!
Hello, excellent work you guys do, you inspire us to build something like you do. I would like to see something like an acrobatic plane like the extra 300 or edge 540, where we could practice some acrobatic patterns like mini imac. Thank you for sharing all your work and hope to be able to support you as well.
Super size F-22 would awesome! Nice job as always.
Hey guys, super size a quad rotor! I would love to see you build one big enough to carry a 12" action figure for a pilot!
Nice! It would be fun if you guys made an episode with aerial photo/video builds!
A large scale rotor wing or possibly the duster. I think they would fly awesome.
The P51 mustang would be nice supersized. I'm building a 1400mm version of the FT Mustang and could really use some pointers!
I don't know how hard it would be but a scratch build T-28 would be fun to watch =) just kind of upscaled more than the original.
The 3D would be really neat...watching a giant 3D foamboard plane sounds like fun :)
200% tricopter... or because it's a tri, make it a 300% one?
Could you make a HUGE FT-22? It would look awesome in the air.
Really impressive builds, great video
I would love to see a FT 3D gasser! I wonder if minwaxing the whole thing would make it fuel safe?
have you guys ever thought of building a B17 bomber Type? I could see a lot of the same tricks you used to make these to make one
oversized Corsair F4U would be awesome, but can you do that from foam? :P
By the way can you make a video explaining how advanced wing shapes works?
supersize the Viggen? maybe an afterburner?
It seems the Viggen would be the winner, but I'm partial to the Guinea and Simple Storch...200% Nutball would be hilarious!
I would love to see yall do the arrow! It look much like today's B2 Bomber in the air! Plus i would love if yall made the Stuka dive bomber. My friends and I have bomb drop compositions but we dont have any that actually look like dive bombers.
200% Viggen
with afterburner XD
no a turbine
u mean an EDF?
No. A turbine jet engine. Look up Turbine RC plane on Google. It is basically the same thing as the Jet engines used in real planes but miniture.
A real turbine ...in a foam airplane? Now THAT is a challenge. But very expensive and that takes the fun factor out. Multiple EDF units would work tho :)
This video was is very helpful for my building of my own giant Flite Test Planes 🙂
Ok I also agree with the other posts, Super Size the Viggen too. :-)
Awesome jobs on both planes! Would love to see multi-engine WWII Bomber(s); i.e. B-17, B-24, B-25, B29. For single engine, how about P-40?!!
P-47 thunderbolt!!!! It is an amazing looking warbird, and i would love to see it super-sized!!
How about building the giant BF109? Great job on the Spitfiire.
SUPER SIZE FT3D!!!!!. That would be awesome 100cc size
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!! It would be really cool if you can make a 200% FT-22
How about a foam B-52 EDF
A friend of my has super sized a Wonder from SIG. He called it the Miracle. Powered by a .45 and it launches directly out of you hand. Super agile and a glider when coming in for landing.
Maybe a good idea for you fellows. The Bloody Miracle.
hi guys great video as normal, here's a challenge build a 200% FT 3D. that would be so cool to see in the air and where is Josh Scott
AWESOME!! For a couple of suggested airframes to super-size, how about Dusty and Ripslinger? And I have to join everyone else with a vote for the Viggen.
My challenge for you: double the size of the monster planes.
Stereodreieck RC and sit and fly in it 😜
200% Kraken!
I like this idea.
That would be a public hazard...
I've seen someone else do that already! It was, as the Swede would say, HUGE!
Josh Inouye no no no no no no no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Mike Kass 1000% kraken w/ a seat!
Looks awesome!! Will there ever be a video like this for the Kraken? Or plans with the changes?
I second everyone who says make a giant tricopter.
Awesome, thanks for posting, I feel a big build coming soon :-)
Josh & David Really Nice Super Size Planes !
Enjoyed immensely , thank you.
I bet others would love to have a build video sometime if you start doing a few of these big ones a year. It would be nice. Yep. To big for me to carry or put together unfortunately but still awesome.
I would love to see a Master series Cessna 310Q design and build. Maybe a future speed kit as well.

Best regards and keep up the good work. Mike
A 200% Viggen would be awesome! That could be David's goodbye for now video
It would have to be a prop driven one though... It would still be worth it!!
1/3 scale clipped wing cub would be fantastic!
Josh how about organising a 200% Bixler 2 XL, also making a kit of the FT cub but also XL.
It's Luan (lou-on). Awesome tips guys.
I echo some of the requests for a Corsair, but I'm thinking of that and maybe a few others in a 150%. Not so large (like the 200%) that the batts, ESC and motors are crazy expensive, but bigger than your basic park flyer 40ish inch wingspan.
Supersize David's Tricopter! See if you can fit a DSLR on it, lol
Why aren't u guys doing a build video for these monsters?
I want to see a super-sized Viggen! With Chad's paint job and the butane after-burner!
super-sized blender would be awesome to see
There used to be a great trainer by Great Planes called PT-40. It would be great if you could make one similar to that with foamboard. Or anything similar to PT-40, basically a huge trainer.
BTW, David, did you shed some weight?
Do the Bloody Wonder as a supersize. Make it a twin with diff. thrust. If you do the Viggen, add thrust vectoring with twin fans.
very nice. i love the hobby. i want an F4U 1A Corsair. do you mind doing a review for me? and I'm sure some other people want the plane too.
you guys got me into flying im about to go get materials to build the cruiser. can you please please do a monster build of the guinea pig. i would be forever greatful and in your debt
Could you please make a review of the Windstar 2.1 from T2M Racing Products? It would be awesome!
I want to see a supersized Viggen. Dual engine
I grew up flying with my Father in a BC12D Taylorcraft. Do you guys think you could build something in line to a high wing tail dragger at larger scale?
How about a super size Storch I bet that would be dead graceful like the real one Bet it would slope soar as well
Thanks for the tips!
Supersized Bloody Wonder with rudder and ailerons brought closer to the body. 3D!
Thanks for being awesome!!
Do the ft bloody wonder and try to keep the vertical take off. Thanks Zach
Awesome guys! Thanks and keep up the work!!
Awesome video guys! Thanks!
How about a 200% knuckle or tricopter? I know its not in the swappable series but it could be an interesting fpv... :)
Pilatus turbo Porter, with flaps and air brakes for slow speed vertical dives!
Please make a build video for these beasts!
Yes! Keep David in the US as long as possible, or at least most of the year, depending on how the passport/visa works.
Edge 540 ! Damn! With engine on the foam ! Man something i would suggest!
I would like to see an FT-22 ;)
