use a hair dryer or a heat source like that to heat the end of the black hose so it is more pliable to slip on the white connector.

How tall is the waterer? I have a 24 inch tall coop, and I'm wondering if it will fit in it.

I'm not sure exactly how tall the waterer is, but my coop was 2 feet tall and it fit!

The yellow thing is a called a gasket.
