Pit the biggest tech editors (who, like Taran said, are normally invisible as a matter of course and as a philosophical constant) against each other in a sort of March Madness or round-robin style battle :D

In a "contest form" like this, if it's just done 1 or 2 times you don't get "the best editor". You get the best "edit performance". To achieve something like that it would take a "tornament type" thing. But yeah, it would be fun to see. What I liked the most is to hear their opinions and stories on editing, or the creative environment around the edit or the "rules" for editing. That was amazing IMO.

editing off a trackpad rlly isn't that hard! i've only been using a 2018 MacBook Air to edit for about 8 months, and it's actually pretty easy. i got the hang of it within 2 minutes of using _iMovie._ *_iMovie!_*
It shows how good is the trackpad experience with Macbooks. After 5 years of using a macbook (I was using a windows pc and laptop before), I'm about to switch to pc again (i need moar stationary poweeer) and I'm already missing my trackpad... :(
@@TheUlitamateStunt Taran says that even with his macros, he still might not even win and I kinda agree. The end result are just vastly different direction already to the point that extra polish here and there because of additional time by using macro probably will not change the overall judge's verdicts and opinions. Taran's macro are to shorten the amount of work and time needed to edit a video, so it can possibly be reviewed in the short amount of time. It does not magically change how he thinks and editing style to sway the judges. Like, I'm pretty sure LTT also have paid motion templates that Taran can use so its a moot point too for that one.
IJ, i watch you since 2010 and i always thought you were one of the best at editing on youtube is nice to see your editing skills being recognized you're not only experienced at editing but it seems you have natural talent to it keep it up. that was really fun to see the competition between you and Taran. he's pretty good at editing too.

This is not a Mac vs PC challenge. This is an editing style vs editing style challenge. There were no defined effects or editing choices that had to be followed. This was a battle of creativity and the hardware proved to be irrelevant.

It's crazy how militant so many Windoz users are regarding the Mac. If you ask what a Mac user thinks of a PC Windows machine they are indifferent. Ask a PC Windows user what they think of a Mac and they go crazy saying stuff like "I hate the Mac" or "I would NEVER use a Mac." When people react like that it usually means they are envious and are trying very hard to convince someone else of something they themselves don't even believe.
Points:- 1. Mac Users are not indifferent to windows users. 2. Apple Users are not indifferent to non-apple users. They consider themselves superior which is wrong on its own but that's a tale for some other time altogether. 3. When people react like that it does not mean they are envious. Simply not true. I say it constantly " I hate hitler" but sorry I am not envious of him. 4. You would listen more mac users say that they cannot use windows than windows users say that they cannot use macs. 5. Macs are dumb except the hardware which is second to none in the Industry. And just for your knowledge before you say I am a dumb windows user I have to tell you I am writing this comment on a Windows PC while I have a Macbook Pro 2015, iMac and an iPad Pro. iPad Pro is the best in the world in tablets I use it for school. My dad uses an iMac because of the hardware. I use Macbook Pro when I travel because it's light to carry and I only do documents editing or emails while on the go. For the rest of heavy-duty stuff I generally prefer windows.

Android users think apple users are just try to compensate and satisfy their egos and buy the phone because either they are too dumb or they want to put the phone on the table. It's natural and it's how things work. Nothing good and bad in that. For me I can never use an iPhone. ( Have used a m 4s, 6s and dad has an XR so used that too) but I also cannot use an Android tablet (there are none good available).

Not really, I live in an undeveloped country and most people don’t even know what a Mac is, and those who know see it as the dreamed computer only rich people can have, which is partially true as here it’s about 60-70% more expensive

Experience almost always wins over platform and software, IMO... Justine seems to have edited A LOT, through many years.

Essentially this competition was Taran not using his famous macros for spirit of competition while Justine utilised paid motion templates.
Actually at university most people didn’t use mouse with their MacBook as it was so good. Not comparable to anything on windows pc still today.
