This interview was informative. I genuinely respect this man's love for his wife, mother, and children. He is never afraid to speak about his family. He is very creative, fashionable, and talented. I don't listen to his and her wife’s music unless it's clean. When I see them, I watch them on various platforms because they bring a sense of respect, down-to-earthness, and humor. May God continue to bless their family.

When they asked what took so long for the sophomore album and he spoke on Takeoff, it made me emotional. I am so glad him and Quavo are healing together out of public eye, bc not everything is for the people. That healing is for you and y’all’s family. But we are so thankful for the tribute and performance! That was legendary
He wasn't being honest. He couldn't drop the album because of the issues with QC. He was suppose to drop in August of 2022, that was long before Takeoffs passing

Yes, I immediately teared up. Still takes me back to that place. And I always hoped they’d eventually release their back catalogue they have with Take for a final Migos album. But hearing his (and Quavo probably too) POV about it, makes a lot of sense.
Actually it is necessary to show how to grieve properly and stay composed. Respect to dude for staying in frame and focused despite the pain.
I feel like it’s good to ask those questions about Take Off. Sometimes ppl be thinking celebrities don’t have feelings, they aren’t human and don’t go through the same ish as us regular degular ppl. Also, showing these young males that it’s ok to be vulnerable and express their emotions.

I understand what Offset mean about relatability with a therapist. I’d offer another perspective: sometimes the relatability gets in the way. SOMETIMES. Sometimes it’s good to have someone removed from your circumstances so they do not bring their biases to the conversation. People who can “relate” may have difficulty being objective or not centering themselves in your struggles. Perhaps relatability works better in a social or case work situation when things need to be more practical such as leaving an immediately dangerous or abusive situation, or getting children back, etc. Also, I think in our community, we may not always have a clear expectation of a therapy session. A session is not always for the therapist to tell you what to do, but instead get you to talk through your experience without affirmation or someone to say something is “right” or “wrong”, because that is usually not the point at the moment. The point is to explore your feelings, un-numb yourself, or redirect energy /feelings. People tell you that you right or wrong all the time. Thas nothing new. So it doesn’t give you the space to feel because you hung up on the “right course of action”. Now that we into the therapy wave, we need to somehow better communicate the different ways a session can look like. If you looking for a savior or problem solver, you already set up for a failed experience or disappointment. Because the truth is, therapy is often slow, awkward, and uneventful to start.

I totally understand his feelings at this point about grief and therapy. At 11 months, this loss is raw af and you feel as if NOBODY understands! The upcoming year will be even worse, it is SO profound and often overlooked, the TRAUMA of losing a sibling!

Can’t wait for the album. Offset and Takeoff were my favorites out the group- musically and their mysterious personalities always drew me in. It really stings hearing Offset, Cardi and Quavo talk about his untimely death, i literally have to wipe away tears. Migos literally is the soundtrack to a lot of our lives. This new era of Offset will be great, especially for consumers who are actually HERE for the MUSIC and truly support the craft. It will be great to see Set and Quavo again, even if its always going to be for B&B…until that time comes I’ve got eye focused on Set Szn

My first introduction to the Migos, I wasn’t a fan of it I gave them a chance and became a fan. They did not disappoint with their work for me from their studio albums to their features and mixtapes. I enjoy all of their solo albums as well and it’s a shame that TakeOff passed, he was the glue that held Migos together and also the historian and Hip Hip nerd of the group. I’m glad that Set and Quavo are good now. Set’s new album is great and have a lot of replay value. His evolution is nothing short of amazing

Once I understood that therapy was about me and not the therapist- it got better. A good therapist will tell you they can't relate. Sometimes it's good to know that what you went through is extreme. Remember- all the conversations are with yourself ❤
