Pick the mana regen ability as soon as possible. You’ll be whipping out spells without huge loss

Also you can use alchemy to make mana potions. Which can be spammed pretty easily. Just mouse over your monster ingredients and see which ones say “mana” on their description. The potency of them will determine how much you can make
