Hi folks. I went the path Kevin shows and got the speed editor with the included 'Studio' version licence. Up to then I was using the free version. It really is very good and powerful software. Plenty of online guidance about how to use it. Several other Blackmagic offerings come with the Studio licence should you need that. Frequent free upgrades as well for both free and paid for versions. Highly recommended.
Nice! I actually started learning Resolve last year when I was in between jobs but then stopped once I started my current role and things got hectic. This may be the encouragement I needed to get back at it. I have a system with a RTX 3080 so I have more than enough grunt to power it too.

But nope, they only ask to register for the free version, not the studio version.

I've been asking this question for a week now, and I can't get an answer. many features no longer work since the last update. I can't get into the fusion page anymore, the program just crashes. tracker in the coloring page doesn't work anymore also etc.. i downloaded DR again from their website. luckily all my works are still on it. but this didn't help either. I know my iMac isn't strong enough for this program. although before the update I could use anything (provided few frames per second during playback)

you need to update your drivers. depending on computer, just look up the model and how to do it. make sure not to accidentally download any viruses or anything

had the same. you need to update your GPU driver. go to device manager and search for your GPU then click update driver. you may also click „go back to last driver“ which should also solve the issue. did it for me at least. good luck

You should be able to use the studio license key on up to two PCs, which would cover your desktop and laptop. You can always share files between free and studio as long as the project doesn’t contain any studio only effects.
why do they need lots of information before downloading? supplying a great editing software is pretty blessful i know right but why do they need to know our street name like its kinda suspicious to me.
They're mining data. For many people the download doesn't even work, but DaVinci has all our information to sell to other people and to market their junk to.
Hello there. When i click directly over to the "deliver" tab my files still show the proxy icons. If that is the case am i supposed to disable proxies at that point? If im seeing the purple proxy icons on the clips and i hit Render will it render the proxies and not the original clip's quality? Thanks

There is no option for Beta version nor is there any version options at all. The download for version 18.6.2 immediately starts.

you must have downloaded the wrong version make sure to not use the "studio" version if you want it free!

If you want public beta free version, go with the option on the top left of the 4 choices. 👍
