Excellent review! You are touching on so many details i am usually missing in other reviews! Keep up the great work 👍
looks excellent, the orange accents makes it pop.
It's a interesting looking tent, but a little hard to get information about, view in person and essentially no reviews. Oztrail has clearly thought about some things & solved some problems (block out, more head & foot room) but it's got signs of a v1 product (your comments re zip & pack up are evidence of some extra polish needed to make this a truly awesome tent)
I’ve got one, great except when the sun comes up the radiated heat cooks you, and, the condensation, the aluminium roof needs to be supplied insulated.
Price and how does it compare or did I miss it? Good review, I to sometimes am weary of sponsored content, some hint at it, some mix it with bought products. I've watched your channel for several years so feel that you are being as genuine as possible. Keep up the good work. Jerry.
Every single review that ANY company gives that have been sponsored ALWAYS gives a good review. Unfortunately dollars and sponsorship have taken over everything
I have the same JB as you and I love it, though it is a little dated in design now. It would be great to compare to the new JB Odyssey just released in Aus. With RTTs think functional, light, cheap - pick two.
Good review hitting the right spots. As always good work. It is a shame RTT do not get lighter. Is there no market for tents with 30kg? I would use a RTT with some trade offs just to get the weight down.
Looks like a great unit, the black out is the business.
nice review
Nice quality and yes it looks mint.
A third pole would stop the flapping maybe but Mark maybe you can buy slightly longer struts and move them just before the mechanism?
That Landy really is a cool looking truck.
Mark, how does it go when its rained at night, packed up and driven all day and then set up again.
It looks the deal with the exception of the roof rails. I have a large solar panel which wouldn’t work with these rails.
I like the idea of it lifting a little at the front end but not so keen on eating into the space. Have you considered putting the maxtrax on the front of the rack? Then you could more easily pack up the tent? With my rtt when I close the lid I am kinda holding the canvas in the whole time the lid comes down. I tightened up the elastic inside and I don't really have to tuck the canvas in now.
100%, the front and side seals are not wide enough. It's a horrible chore to push all the fabric in, mainly the hard, short fabrics.
Nice looking RTT, would like to know how it would bolt down to a canopy that doesn’t have rails and is it a hard bottom. Do you have issues with the internal cantilevered system jamming on bedding etc
Nothing beats the James Baroud when it comes to weight and quality.
Looks like a re badged 23 zero saber tent
