To Taylor, Stephanie, and Lily: Epilepsy can be controlled with medications (but someone may continue to have seizures even with medications, if that is the case, then the strength of the medications have to be increased), but you cannot control if you are born with it or not! Lily's parents could or could not have epilepsy and passed it on to her through genes. Or Lily could have a genetic mutation with a mutated gene!
If you make her upset and that can cause a seizure as well in clouding flashing lights/patterns. Especially when there are different ways a seizure can be triggered.

They think that it is somthing that can be controlled, a mental illness, can not be controlled, others think that people are doing it on purpose, some people think that people with epilepsy are possed with demons and evil spirits. A person with Down Syndrome once said to me right to my face that she is not used to me just because I have epilepsy and nothing else. That was enough for her. Seizures are not always epileptic but epilepsy is where a the brain isn’t functioning properly where that causes a seizure the brain sends electrical messages from the brain that causes a seizure. But it’s not always epileptic it can be a seizure disorder I’m not a doctor but I know a lot about seizures because I used to have seizures it wasn’t epileptic but it’s a seizure disorder.
