A contrast to the urban setting we are used to visit, this round we will experience the true beauty of the island setting of Penang. At the back we have the reserved forest, in the front we have the sandy beach that host both Rasa Sayang and Golden Sands Resorts. This translates in breath taking views from all windows of the unit.
The setting is also rather magical. As I was travelling to the project, it took me a while to adjust myself because it was too quite. The pace of the Batu Ferringhi is also different compared to Gurney and Georgetown. Suddenly I was walking slower, I was speaking softer while experiencing the setting. The common area of the project is spacious, almost too spacious. There is a very obvious intent to keep maintenance fees in control. There are just a lot of empty space around the project, which also means potential as they are just a few furniture pieces away.
The unit layout is also unique. In a conventional efficiency oriented design, it wouldn't make sense. But within this setting, the corridor layout design adds an element of suspense to the experience of the user. However, the view is still the highlight of the entire project.
The tricky part would instead of thinking of whether the project is suitable for me, the question would be me suitable for the project? This is beyond financial consideration, instead it's a time and career state related question. So interesting.
I am one of the foreigners (from Australia ) at The Marin. What Sean said was spot on. Our intention when we bought the condo in 2016 off the plan was to spend more time in Penang when I retire. We took possession Christmas 2018 and spent time in 2019 at the condo then Covid took over. We plan to spend more time there now that I have transmitted to retirement. We have one of the front unit facing the sea and as Sean said, the view is worth the price we paid, particularly during sunrise and sunset. Wife always complained about the time we have to take to get to town but I do enjoy the driving outside peak hours.
Batu Ferringhi local (grew up here) but I’ve been studying and working in KL. I stay in another apartment just a bit further down from Marin. Always love driving back home, the winding road is pure fun too off weekends. Such a different vibe and pace compared to KL, just a place for rejuvenation and relaxation.
I totally agree. I blame myself for still being so busy with work hahaha:)
Love your videos! Can you do a more videos for good Penang properties? Or just talk about good areas to search for a home. Really like your style of video! 😊
Actually this is one of the developments I plan to check out when I come to Penang soon to look for my semi retirement home. I don't want the competition, but there is another development or two in that general area that I feel have even way better views from your unit. I am meeting several RE agents when there, but if you know someone who is an expert on Penang Island by all means send them my way. Thanks Sean!!!! If you are around Penang in December, I would love to take you out for dim sum to chat.
Let me plan yea. This setting is closer to the mountains instead of the ocean, so it depends on your preference:)
Thanks for sharing yea!!
Yo bro ,upload more videos. Love how you explain everything
Managed to rent a fully furnished seaview unit during MCO at a steal, at that time everyone was working from home. Enjoyed it so much and I wish I have the luxury to stay there long term! I was told units with good view were all sold out and they are not opening up another tower for sale yet until all units are sold in the tower.
The quietness makes it a perfect location. Fuyoh!
wahhhhhh...super excited lehhh...everytime u review props at my homestate...n lagi syiok when nxt to my former work place Rasa Syg...technically,tat area apart from this prop itself being close to nature, hills etc-its genuine peaceful!its never been noisy for the last 20 yrs...except for weekends mat rempits/drifters laa....but,i can often notice a sense of exuberence in ur reviews if its about Penang, why huh?nice right?before or after can kena char koay teow or nasi kandar-wow!mmg puas pegi penang!based on the layout n spec + loc, this prop is definitely suitable for a super rich loner,or retired Bruce Wayne maybe...Residents in Ferringhi n Bahang r mostly staffs at nearby hotels..i used to work in RSR but lived in TgTokong(90s),daily commute to work was norm, but defientely never explored Ferrringhi area while even working there, coz its always towards the city area for makan,n movie those days i used to go to Bkt Jambul/komtar!
Yeee, you come to my place after so many years of completion 😊
This is your place?? I’m so envious!!
Will the LRT reach Batu Ferringhi?
As far as I know that the line will be extended to Tanjung Bungah instead of terminating at Komtar.
But as per the Penang integrated transit plan, there are plans to build a monorail to Batu Ferringhi.
So beautiful
A dream retirement home material tho... we should work harder for it😂
