that’s my dad❤️
Listen.. Grab every tone, look and listen emotions .. You got it to perhaps , believe me.. And enjoy in every moment with him and his music.. 👌👋💪👏✊
Wow, I caught your Dad in Tokyo! Personally, I prefer this version than Patrick Wilson's. I feel its more emotionally sang. Perhaps its because every time i listen to this, it reminds of that trip to Tokyo. I just glad this recorded and I can revisit my memory every time when i listen to it.
No way 😮
2019....like who still believes this is the best version. Beautiful Poem!
If she was still alive, we'd be listening to this together
May she rest in peace man, hope u are doing well, everything will be fine, i bet she is proud of you!
Been returning to this since 2011. Once-in-a-lifetime experience for me.
The year was 2014 and I was in a low state of mind. This version was my refuge then, my way of finding peace.
Should have listened to the original. Would have made your life brighter.
@@lordseaworth6055 I love the original 😊 but was searching for different versions when i came across this cover.
This is the best version of this song.
take a moment to appreciate the vocal harmonies
Gracias infinitas! Guadalajara los ama!
Band is grey reverend, these guys did such an amazing job with this song :)
I'm speechless ❤❤
I have been listening to this for 7 years
2020 still
Needed this song today! Cleansed my soul.
This is just a different version......its a great version of the song.....i can apreciate it!!! This is music!!!!!!! it makes me feel something......not like some of the other stuff out there.......i love all music, but i love earthy music......or folk, or folk-alternative....whatever you want to call it..
Most beautiful version of this song.
Epic rendition! Groovy earthy tone.
7:27 scared the shit out of me, RIP headphone users..
Just Amazing... This is Music... Cuts To The Core...
Love to see a band just taking the risk of completely changing the entirety of a song like this. Really nice spin on it, especially the ending.
The singer in this video is Grey Reverend. He has an album called "Off the Days". Nice record in my view.
I hv been trying to find his name! Thanx....bt idk...out of all the versions , out of all the singers, out of all the performances and recordings... I find This To be the Best!!!! But sadly cant find this on spotify.
man this is nuts when the band kicks in
thank you
He goes by the name Grey Reverend and is amazing. His better versions of this song are gone from youtube. This is unfortunately the best one of him and this song.
foreal!
That's funny - only having listened to the live CD, I always had this quite explicit image of a white "country" type of singer in my head, i.e. very white.
It's kind of like Bobby Caldwell in reverse.
This guy has a very warm voice, lots of heart in it.
Nourishment
Epic version.
the girl on vocals is Heidi Vogel, so lovely
I personally like Patrick Watson's version better, but I can't compare two stylistically different artists. They both perform beautifully in their own way. One of the most beautiful songs to ever be written though!
thanks :)
*Of The Days
Comparing this version with patrick watson's version, this one is so beautiful, so amazing.. His voice is relaxing and the guitar playing is so captivating and heart warming. I just Love it
Awesome performance , I prefer this version rather than the Patrick watson , but those are totally different interpretations of the song so its taste , both are gorgeous , as a guitarist I prefer this one ^^ please someone post tabs? :D check more stuff from Grey Reverend and Cinematic Orchestra , they are simply awesome bands and artist.
If you like a bland rendition sure.
He's called Grey Reverend!
Fucking genius oh my godddd
Grey Reverend!
Different but still pretty damn good.
Does anyone know where I could find a tab to this?
This singer is not the same of the studio version. The man who sings in the studio is a Canadian musician called Patrick Watson, but I don't know the name of the man in this video.
Cinematic made the music.... and invite Patrick Watson to sing... I just don't know to say to you who really wrote the lyrics... if cinematic or patrick... even way, it's the most perfect song I've ever eared... in all levels! :)
prefer the origina. But this is still absolutely brilliant.
What is the name of this lead singer? I am unable to find his name?
What is the name of the singer ...?
I love this version of this song but to me something sounds out of tune when the whole band comes in at 5:00 Does anyone else hear it as well or is that how it's suppose to sound?
+Gilbert Villarreal yeah that sounds super out of tune.
weird I had the same sensation but I wonder if it's not done on purpose cause it sounds like a 'good' out of tune...
It's the guitar and I honestly don't think it was done on purpose. It doesn't seem to make any sense. The only reason it seems to "work" is because if you repeat a mistake enough times, it eventually feels to the listener like it was always meant to be there.
The guy probably knocked his tuning peg on a music stand or something and changed the pitch before he started playing. He would have heard his instrument was out of tune but he played through it. Its a more memorable performance because of it, and in our minds we are forever waiting for it to resolve into harmony...
It's weird, when I listened to the whole thing from the start, I didn't notice it as much, but when you cut straight to 5:00 it sounds super out
Thumbs up if the MoshCam thing scared the shit out of you at the end
... the names of the singers?!
Somebody here mentioned Grey Reverend
iF someone could send me tabs for this version of the song i would be forever grateful and will donate 20$ to a music institution as a repayment for this kind favor. I'll send recipt as proof. Thank you for your time.

wrek'd me
who's the original singer!?
Patrick Watson
Damn that 7-Up guy can sing
The ending noise is so annoying. Why even add it to the video of such a relaxing song?
@jimmyclay55 It would have been epic if all their instruments were in tune yes. However, I would say it is just fair and not epic.
Position of his right hand makes me really uncomfortable....
Look at his name "Grey Reverend", and then look at the comment. It's a joke on his name.
Patrick watson's better
sorry but this version is terrible
THIS just sucks !!!!!! the version with patrick watson is way better !!!!!!
I disagree. :)
Many disagree...fantastic rendition.
Two different versions equally beautiful only that Reverend version has to be heard live. This version live is amazing.
His name is Grey Reverend. And he's a total liar: he's black and not a pastor at all.
