Since Vivzie said the eyes are the souls of the sinners who are killed forever and their souls become part of the environment, my theory is that Roo gets more power from the sinners who die, and uses them to spy on everything going around in Hell, so she's completely against Charlie's plan to redeem sinners and end exterminations (that is when a large amount of sinners are killed forever), so she sent Alastor to "help" Charlie with the hotel (Which is probably why he got so angry when Lucifer showed up, since he's probably stronger than Roo and can interfere with Alastor's attempts at manipulating Charlie)

The eyes appear as Alastor says he wants to break his constraints. This means the eyes aren’t directly linked to Roo as they could be the souls of sinners who have died, or Roo wishes to free Alastor as well. Whatever it is, I know Emily might be able to have an impact on what’s going on as her design takes inspiration from the Nazar 🧿, a charm used to ward off the evil eye
I wonder if Roo had anything to do with Alastor being on a leash, I mean she is more ruthless than any other characters in the show, which definitely makes sense because she is the Root of all Evil.😬😈
Considering that Eve ate the apple which was the first sin which led to sin coming to earth (aka the root of all sin/evil) I could imagine that Eve could've been banished for other things later in the Hell verse after the Garden of Eden. Which in hell she gave herself a new name because I would imagine not many people would like Eve in hell hence giving herself the name Roo (short for the root of all evil).
Would love to see Charlie try to redeem her. Would be interesting to see considering Eve technically didn’t do anything wrong. She just gave humanity free will by eating the apple. Maybe she only became evil after being casted out and wanting to fight back against the angels? Or mad she got the short end of the stick when compared to her husband. There’s a lot to unpack and I hope she’s not a black and white final boss bad guy
I mean, it feels less like she "gave alastor his powers" and more like guided him a bit but also added a restraint onto his powers- because his weak point (the radio staff he always has with him) could've also been something he didn't always have, since during his small interlude in the s1 finale he mentions wanting to break free from his deal, which is directly after he was easily struck down in one blow because of his staff being a weak point (he de-powered after it was broken) (also living for the fact that he gives his staff to Charley more than a few times bc he is literally giving her something that can be used to weaken him even though she doesn't know about that its still probably something that makes him uncomfortable or stressed so to do it is just really cool GOD i love this show its so freaking good ughhhh /pos) uhhh i was talking abt how if it breaks he loses power n stuff right so maybe its also like someone else mentioned the eyes thing its also that he has a tendency to point the eye at the people hes talking to instead of at himself, which doesn't make sense because thats the microphone part of his staff n all that stuff so the eye thing is def feeling very much important yk? and and maybe the staff is potentially a like power amplifier???? and thats whywhen it broke it caused him issues in the battle but that doesn't really make much sense tbh also I do think that yes Alastor and Roo have something to do with eachother because of those symbols yea
YES!! THIS HAS BEEN THE EXACT THEORY I'VE BEEN RIDING ON FOR MONTHS!!!! eve became roo being the oldest sinner in hell and alastor made a deal with her for power but just got tangled in her puppet strings, those have been my thoughts since it was revealed alastor was chained by a higher power
Maybe Roo is like a shadow version of Eve, someone that looks almost exactly like Eve but is a darker version of her born from Eve's sin, being greed and lust.
I believe that the when eve took the apple and evil was born, it corrupted her, making her the root of all evil, so I really like that other people agree that eve will be the main villain while lilith will be the main mystery.
You know, I've always had this theory that Alastor is somewhat linked to Roo. Idk, it randomly came up in my head, but it's pretty nice to hear it being discussed.
They should have defiantly done this. Making {Redacted} the owner of Alastor’s soul makes no sense and honestly ruins his fear factor and personality for me.
I think the idea of Eve becoming Roo when she went to Hell is quite cool because we know that some sinners don't keep their earth name, as seen With Angel (his earth name being Anthony)
If viv does what im thinking shes smart as hell. Lilith not able to have kids still guided sinners because theyre eves children. Roo mother of hellborns in general and maybe wife of satan... Would just make me giggle for some reason. And eve is just eve beauty that gave life to charlie
Not to mention his micro have an eye, and when he says « a soul can achieve great things » or something like that when he faced Adam, he looked directly the eye on the micro
Also some people think that liltith is also eve and alastor was missing for the same amount of time lilith was so alastor could have made a deal or sold his soul to lilith
I had thought Root could be some kind that exist much before they created Adam and Eve, some kind of entity and her power grows with more sinners in Hell until she can take over Heaven too. Thats why the extermination happen and why Sera is scared of Pentious going in Heaven
@@LilsTheContentCreator Sorry i didn't mean to come off rude i was just saying alastor can't be owned by another overlord it has to be someone higher than him and that person has to be roo
Not surprised of someone else thought of this, but another clue could be Alastor goin demon mode, specifically that instead of his horns growin, but the Roots spreadin out.
“The Root of All Evil” and then Eve being the one to disobey Heaven and bring a “New World of Sin” makes sense. her choice made Hell(even though Lucifer helped her make the choice) so why wouldn’t she be considered the root of what Hell is all about
Nah, I really don't like theory that Roo and Eve are the same person. It seems to me that Roo is more of a primordial evil. Eve came to know her, having tasted the fruit, perhaps she became a vessel... But I don't think Roo is just another name for Eve. (Idk words I need so I used translator to write this comment, sorry for mistakes)
Omg yessss!!! Finally my theory is getting some eyes on it! I’ve had this theory ever since the finale came out, I 100% believe eve is roo and has alastor on the leash. Since she’s the one who made the first sin causing evil to spread across humanity, she’s the root of all evil ^^
Hear me out. I know it’s been said that when Sinners are perma-killed, their “essence” goes into Hell itself and that’s why there are eyes everywhere. But what if Roo _is_ “Hell itself”? Hypothesis: She’s imprisoned somewhere within Hell’s very foundation and, though she can receive contact from others like Alastor and make deals with them, she can’t leave her Underworld cell. But the Exterminations feed her power, like water to a thirsty plant (see? Plant imagery cuz “Root” of All Evil you’re smart you figured that out) - more dead sinful souls, more eyes around the Pride Ring, more fuel towards eventually breaking free from her cage. I have more but I don’t want to make this single comment on a short into a whole fanfiction, so point is: If Roo and Eve are the same person, isn’t it kind of sweet in a really twisted way that Adam was helping support his wife this whole time? I love villain couples 🖤
What if Roo is Charlies real mom. At the end of S2 Lute betrays Lilith for Sinner Adam. Then its revealed they have to fight Roo whos the real mom. To rule Hell as the true Queen!
Funny thing, to make Jambalaya more authentic, there's an ingredient dubbed "Roux" that is required (its different for each recipee though if you snoop online I believe) Figured I'd point out that easter egg I suppose. That is most likely not the intent but given Alastor's creole heritage I might as well shed light on this probably useless connection 😂
i say "make it more authentic" because there are boxed Jambalaya's out there, like Tony Cacheres. All you have to buy is the box and some sausage to throw it together. At least thats how I learned to do it. (and is probably the way it should be done)

I thought those two radio rooms were different? I could be wrong but I thought the one in "Stayed Gone" was attached to the hotel or at least nearby and the one after the battle was in a different location. Please correct me if I am wrong.
No, I'm pretty sure it's the same radio tower because in that scene there's a bunch of rubble around it and he says "This place reeks of death" referencing all the angels and cannibals that had died in the Battle it's most likely that when the hotel got destroyed it just got thrown far away from the main building

I think that's a really good theory!❤
Roo is pure evil, you know she made her presence because he's trying to get away and isn't happy about it.
OMG I have nazar jewlery everywhere and decorations!
I wonder if Roo had anything to do with Alastor being on a leash, I mean she is more ruthless than any other characters in the show, which definitely makes sense because she is the Root of all Evil.😬😈
Also the pun of “Roodoo powers” is very big evidence
Nice one
MUAHAHAAHAA I'm so glad to see THIS IS CATCHING ON.🤣😈
Considering that Eve ate the apple which was the first sin which led to sin coming to earth (aka the root of all sin/evil) I could imagine that Eve could've been banished for other things later in the Hell verse after the Garden of Eden. Which in hell she gave herself a new name because I would imagine not many people would like Eve in hell hence giving herself the name Roo (short for the root of all evil).
I hope we get to see her eventually
Would love to see Charlie try to redeem her. Would be interesting to see considering Eve technically didn’t do anything wrong. She just gave humanity free will by eating the apple. Maybe she only became evil after being casted out and wanting to fight back against the angels? Or mad she got the short end of the stick when compared to her husband. There’s a lot to unpack and I hope she’s not a black and white final boss bad guy
We don't know whether eve is roo though
@@tobsonasanya4765 the show seems to be foreshadowing it. Also Eve at the Apple, introduced sin. Makes sense
@@Azestiibut shouldn't roo be older than eve
@@tobsonasanya4765 possibly? But When Eve ate the apple, sin was created. So thus Roo, is Eve. Eve is the Root of All Evil
But evil already existed@@Azestii
I mean, it feels less like she "gave alastor his powers" and more like guided him a bit but also added a restraint onto his powers- because his weak point (the radio staff he always has with him) could've also been something he didn't always have, since during his small interlude in the s1 finale he mentions wanting to break free from his deal, which is directly after he was easily struck down in one blow because of his staff being a weak point (he de-powered after it was broken) (also living for the fact that he gives his staff to Charley more than a few times bc he is literally giving her something that can be used to weaken him even though she doesn't know about that its still probably something that makes him uncomfortable or stressed so to do it is just really cool GOD i love this show its so freaking good ughhhh /pos) uhhh i was talking abt how if it breaks he loses power n stuff right so maybe its also like someone else mentioned the eyes thing its also that he has a tendency to point the eye at the people hes talking to instead of at himself, which doesn't make sense because thats the microphone part of his staff n all that stuff so the eye thing is def feeling very much important yk? and and maybe the staff is potentially a like power amplifier???? and thats whywhen it broke it caused him issues in the battle but that doesn't really make much sense tbh
also I do think that yes Alastor and Roo have something to do with eachother because of those symbols yea
Roo feels like Medrano's version of Sauron.
Or the Axolotl with Bill Cipher
Exactly!
And vox thinks he got eyes on EVERYTHING 😂
I don't think Eve is Roo, their designs differ too much, however there IS a link between the 2
Maybe Roo is like a shadow version of Eve, someone that looks almost exactly like Eve but is a darker version of her born from Eve's sin, being greed and lust.
This guy is so good at making these videos.
Ty!
I believe that the when eve took the apple and evil was born, it corrupted her, making her the root of all evil, so I really like that other people agree that eve will be the main villain while lilith will be the main mystery.
Roo looks like a potential fictional crush for me
You damn simp lol 😂
You know, I've always had this theory that Alastor is somewhat linked to Roo. Idk, it randomly came up in my head, but it's pretty nice to hear it being discussed.
Roo better be important in season 2!!
They should have defiantly done this. Making {Redacted} the owner of Alastor’s soul makes no sense and honestly ruins his fear factor and personality for me.
Bro is casually guessing the entire hazbin hotel lore
it feels illegal to be so early 😭‼️
Edit(sorry but TYSM FOR ALL THE LIKES I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN THIS MUCH 😭‼️💚).
Omg you right
Fr though
Omg finally I get to be early 😭
Awesome ~~🤟🤟can't wait to hear her voice
She looks sick. I love her design smm
Thank you for this short, as I, a filthy casual, didn't understand properly who Roo was or why she was so important to the canon.
I could see this happening. Thanks for the theory ❤
I wanna see adam go to the hotel and eve be the villian and adam fall head over heels
"Roo in the first part kinda mommy-"
-simps
Viv actually said Roo was not short for “root of all evil”
I think the idea of Eve becoming Roo when she went to Hell is quite cool because we know that some sinners don't keep their earth name, as seen With Angel (his earth name being Anthony)
I didnt even think about the idea of Roo being Eve! But that would make so much sense
NOW BELVE
ME IF NOT NOT A TRUE HAZBIN HOTEL FAN
The eye thing makes me wonder if vaggie used to be in a contract with roo, (before the series) in all of the old art she is surrounded by eyes.
Or Roo is interested in her because she's an angel.
OMG ROO IS EVE AND THE EYE AND EVIL SYMBOL THIS IS SOOO SPOOKY AND SCARY I'M GOING TO PUT IT ON MY MANGA STORIES.
If viv does what im thinking shes smart as hell. Lilith not able to have kids still guided sinners because theyre eves children. Roo mother of hellborns in general and maybe wife of satan... Would just make me giggle for some reason. And eve is just eve beauty that gave life to charlie
I really hope if Roo became the villain, we would actually have a amazing fight with Lucifer vs Roo/Root Of All Evil.
I'll be Roo-ting for her first appearance in the show.
This is one of my favorite theories and to me it's a bit of a head Canon that Eve might be Roo
I love her checkered pattern clothes! ❤️
We will see how it holds up
it makes sense canonically, since as the one to take the first bite, she would be the one who allowed evil into the human world!
Omg- WHEN HUSK SAID ALASTOR WAS ON A LEASH-🤯that’d be so crazy if it was Roo
Never thought the friendliest place in hell was the cannibal district
Brb im gonna put this on my list of things that i know on roo and Alastor-
I just remembered there’s a song by Silva hound called root of all evil.
I had thought Root could be some kind that exist much before they created Adam and Eve, some kind of entity and her power grows with more sinners in Hell until she can take over Heaven too.
Thats why the extermination happen and why Sera is scared of Pentious going in Heaven
This might be a stretch BUT I think zestial owns alastor. think about it, GREEN powers SCARED/ANXIOUS around him, it makes a lot of sense.
Hell no definitely not dude if zestial owned alastor we would have seen alastor scared of him so your theory is not true
@@anthonyclay8404 dude what the fuck it’s just a theory you don’t have to be so rude I’m not saying that it’s true 💀🙏
@@LilsTheContentCreator Sorry i didn't mean to come off rude i was just saying alastor can't be owned by another overlord it has to be someone higher than him and that person has to be roo
@@anthonyclay8404 ok :)
Not surprised of someone else thought of this, but another clue could be Alastor goin demon mode, specifically that instead of his horns growin, but the Roots spreadin out.
“The Root of All Evil” and then Eve being the one to disobey Heaven and bring a “New World of Sin” makes sense. her choice made Hell(even though Lucifer helped her make the choice) so why wouldn’t she be considered the root of what Hell is all about
Cool idea 👍👍💡
One thing's for sure.
No one will be spared when the Root takes hold of the universe.
Yeah and in Halluva boss S2 EP11 Mastermind some eyes are there
Nah, I really don't like theory that Roo and Eve are the same person.
Dammit, why do most of the helluaverse villians get to be hot
Dude im so glad you guys picked up pony island its a great game.
I have more but I don’t want to make this single comment on a short into a whole fanfiction, so point is:
If Roo and Eve are the same person, isn’t it kind of sweet in a really twisted way that Adam was helping support his wife this whole time?
I love villain couples 🖤
Speaking of Roo. She sees Aldus as a potential threat and she creates Van Kliess as a demon hunter
Roo being involved with alastor makes alot more sense than lillith, because roo is basically hazbin hotels equivalent to invincibles thragg
What if Roo is Charlies real mom. At the end of S2 Lute betrays Lilith for Sinner Adam. Then its revealed they have to fight Roo whos the real mom. To rule Hell as the true Queen!
She’s not exactly mentioned
Maybe subtly
Her character’s still being worked on
Viv hinted that she’s going to be an antagonist
Funny thing, to make Jambalaya more authentic, there's an ingredient dubbed "Roux" that is required (its different for each recipee though if you snoop online I believe) Figured I'd point out that easter egg I suppose. That is most likely not the intent but given Alastor's creole heritage I might as well shed light on this probably useless connection 😂
i say "make it more authentic" because there are boxed Jambalaya's out there, like Tony Cacheres. All you have to buy is the box and some sausage to throw it together. At least thats how I learned to do it. (and is probably the way it should be done)
Do you think you could make a full length video about the Roo theory? It’s kinda hard for me to follow when it’s broken up into shorts
She's such an interesting character, I need to know if she's been scrapped or not since it's been a while since Viv has mentioned her, and since I'm roleplaying her on something so I need to know
I thought those two radio rooms were different? I could be wrong but I thought the one in "Stayed Gone" was attached to the hotel or at least nearby and the one after the battle was in a different location. Please correct me if I am wrong.
No, I'm pretty sure it's the same radio tower because in that scene there's a bunch of rubble around it and he says "This place reeks of death" referencing all the angels and cannibals that had died in the Battle it's most likely that when the hotel got destroyed it just got thrown far away from the main building
@@Silly_Sammy-Sam I thought the "This place reeks of death" was referencing the battle between Alastor and Vox 7 years ago.
@@VXochitl I don't think so cuz that scene had nothing to do with Vox whatsoever so it wouldn't make much sense that he will be referencing the Battle he had with Vox 7 years ago
why would it be in a different location?
It's the same one but during the hotel battle a lot of parts fell down, like on top of lute.
If Eve is Roo, I wonder how she’d react to Adam’s death.
(ROO)T OF ALL EVIL!
SO IM NOT CRAZY THINKING THIS, I KNEW IT!!! YESSSSS
Roo’s the main antagonist.
holy crap that makes so much sense
It would make since purely from a canonical biblical interpretation, seeing as she is the first human to sin and tempt another human into sinning.
Love that cannibal town is the only happy place in Hell 😂 Rosie did good
Eve is the first sinner, so her being the strongest mortal soul in hell makes sense
Also in her background for the official Wikipedia it showed that Alastor is an ally to Roo
