I have never seen a best photoshop teacher like you Aaron Nace. You are so good. And you the best. I have been going through many's stuffs but since I started to follow your tutorials You are good.
I've watched this several times.... but tonight worked step by step with an image I needed to fix this on and it worked perfectly - LOVE. YOU. THANKS!!!!!!
I love these videos because I learn things that I don't know I'll need, but the days do come where I I'm like, 'I know exactly what to do in this situation!' thanks Phlearn team!!
I find this to be one of the most effective methods for fixing these issues. when I want to correct these issues, I will open the same tool, but then select a random range, then use the eye dropper tool to select the specific color I want to adjust. I then use the add tool to select as many others as needed, and then if the issue is uneven, I over-correct, then use a low opacity on the brush to more accurately apply the correction. This allows for a more detailed fix, while also being a little more forgiving if the slightly soft brush touches a few areas outside of the target area.
Such a simple technique but man it's so useful. Tried it today for the first time and wow what a difference it made. Loving Phlearn tutorials at the moment and learning lots of cool Photoshop tips and techniques to add to my arsenal. You guys rock!
Thank you, Thank you! I have been searching for a while for a simple fix to red skin. So many people trying to sell actions, I did not want that, I am so thankful to find this.
THANKYOU! I had this problem when i was shooting for a friend a couple days ago and had no idea how to sort it. Your tutorials are always so easy to follow and understand!
All joking aside, I generally use the eyedropper to select the range first, then tweak the sliders as necessary. But I never thought of cranking up the saturation to give a visual preview of the selection. Excellent tip!
So useful! Thanks, i've had trouble with red faces for ages, tried a bunch of things but once again, Photoshop already has a simple way to do it! Thanks very much Phlearn team. MT
Excellent, Aaron. Love your videos. You're a great teacher. You save me so much time and virtually eliminate my impatience and frustration when using Ps.
Interesting method, never done it like that, will have to give it a try. That's what I love about retouching, so many ways to do the same thing. Some are better than others, but this one looks interesting.
I just did a winter photo shoot, 6 degrees out, so the client's nose and ears just kept getting redder and redder. this tutorial is a huge help! Works perfect! thank you :-)
I've been trying to learn how to do this for a long time, and other tutorials were so long and involved. This is exactly what I needed for simple fixes, thanks.
Greatest advice EVER! Thank you. It just totally changed my editing of my current newborn session. I also found your "tan line"-video because I have a large dad with horrible farmers tan holding an awfully red/magenta baby. Cute family just horrible skin tones. You're amazing! :)
you're a genius !! I love your techniques, seriously I didn't even know you can use saturation for faces too :D amazing and so easy yet effective ! thanks so much
Your tutorials are really great ! Very helpful ! I was looking for somebody who would explain how to do something like that step by step ! Thank you for that :)
I know it was a quick tip, but you forgot to mention you could mask out the lips for example. That it wouldn't affect the parts which are masked out in the Hue/Saturation layer. Could be a helpful addition to the tip, when removing facial reds with a person who's wearing red lip stick, glasses or something else. I know you know, but I wanted to share the thought. Fantastic useful video anyway :)
Great tute, will this work for other color casts as well? Like the yellows, I assume just add more blue once you isolate that color? Add the complimentary color to remove the cast?
Wow, this is so awesome! You can also select area first. Thank you soooooooooo much! I've been selected an area and using Color Balance, which is a real disaster. :)
Wonderful work; I had a guy who was very red in the cheeks, lips, purple around the eyes, and on forehead (he had worked all night and snapped a pic of his face for the website *sighs*) and your tutorial worked perfect. Made him look non-sick lol Was great.
Lol too funny hope the guy appreciates you for all the hard work and long hours you put into airbrushing his face. He most likely looks 20 years younger.
That's a simple fix but you could have also used the eye dropper tool to select the exact red and then layer masked out any of the other parts of the face the image effected. That's how I would do it. Either ways, this works too. Great work Aaron!
How would you fix a ruddy / red complexion on a redhead? Adjusting the complexion also adjusts the hair color..... is there a way to separate the two features?
Damn Phlearn is just killing it in the world of Photoshop tutorials. Relevant, Quick, and Clear.

Thank you so much I was becoming so frustrated trying to figure this out myself! Subscriber earned.
Excellent, very helpful, thank you. I imagine that in most cases you would have to mask out the lips so that they are not affected.
Good job!
You've fixed ever problem that I had have, also your lessons in your website are incredible!

Thank you! This is such an amazing tutorial. Simple, entertaining, and very helpful!
Amazing. A lot of these little tiny tutorials are so easy, but I never knew half the stuff.
Great tute, will this work for other color casts as well? Like the yellows, I assume just add more blue once you isolate that color? Add the complimentary color to remove the cast?

Cool video, how do I deselect or add back in some of the red from the lips? Not sure if there is a quick way doing it like this or not.
Wow, this is so awesome! You can also select area first. Thank you soooooooooo much! I've been selected an area and using Color Balance, which is a real disaster. :)

you just saved my image, thank you so much. Without your tutorials I still would be so lost at photoshop! But now I'm saved ;-)
That's a simple fix but you could have also used the eye dropper tool to select the exact red and then layer masked out any of the other parts of the face the image effected. That's how I would do it. Either ways, this works too. Great work Aaron!
