It's always disheartening finding all the new problems with an old boat, and that's a big big project, but after all the work you'll have a big spacious family boat, so the effort is a good investment. I've wasted lots of time/effort in the past trying to "repair" interiors, and have come to the conclusion it's usually quicker and cheaper to pull everything out and start with an empty space (just as you're doing) The destruction is quick and finds all the problems at once and then the rebuilding process feels much better. It will be really interesting to see how you refit the boat ... especially for the cool Scandinavian climate.
good to see an update :) i had been wondering where you had gone lately. sorry about the gopro issues, but good luck on the continued boat rebuild. i look forward to seeing your progress. hope to meet you on the water some day.
+Sean «SV Inopii» Thompson Hello there Sean. It was a shame with the Gopro. I had a lot of good video there. Hopefully I won't lose anymore :-D Thanks for watching!
+Kyle French Hello Kyle. It's a Westcruiser 32, built in 1974 Norway. They were built to be SAR and ambulance boats as well as shuttle boats. Mine is one of extremely few who were built for cruising. Sadly there isn't possible to save the interior in the pilothouse and the aft cabin as you could see from the video. But the forward section will be almost all original. At a later time closer to spring I will make a "Tour of the boat" video. Thanks for watching. :-D
