    This was like a master course. Thank you I feel so much more comfortable with the idea of doing a tradeshow.

    Elyse, this is the best video I've found on trade shows!! I'm in the process of scaling my handmade business and I'm SO excited to one day be able to do trade shows. This video was so inspiring and informative, thank you!!!

      You are so welcome! I'm glad to hear that it's helpful. Honestly we really struggled to find resources ahead of our first show, which is why I wanted to make this series! Make sure you check them all out, hopefully you'll find the others helpful too

      @@Elysebreannedesign The other videos are amazing, I'm learning so much! Thank you! Also, what are the dimensions of the small catalogues? I've been looking to print some small catalogues/visual line sheets and those are adorable! Is it something you order from a professional printer or can it be done at a local office store?

    I'm going to begin to sell my own fine art prints and paper crafts, soon. But it's just me. A trade show is not in my future anytime soon. I will be a "micro-business" for some time to come. I have sold a few pieces at juried smaller community art shows and the like and will be branching out some at shows/events that I can afford or that are worth it. And for even the tiniest businesses who plan on selling, an e-commerce website is essential and you can save lots of money in fees and all. For small businesses like yours, I think your "tried and true" tips are very helpful and that you've got all the important bases covered!👍

    If you go back, you guys need to go eat at the “Vortex”. You have to be over 21, but the double by pass burger is big enough to feed 5

    I'd love a follow up video with your estimate of how much you made through the trade show.

    Can you recommend 1 or 2 trade fairs for new stationary businesses, either as a participant or just an attendee to help learn the business? Thx!

      So I've only attended 3 different shows so far (NY Now x2, Atlanta and SF Now). I would say far and away that Atlanta was the most helpful, both in terms of sales and getting the lay of the land!

    This was a fascinating watch but I wonder at what point a 1900 product catalog stops being a small business.

    Yes so helpful! Excited to learn more. For Shopify did you just build a trade show or wholesale collection to make orders on the spot?

    • @Elysebreannedesign
      @Elysebreannedesign  6 месяцев назад

      I'm glad it was helpful! On Shopify we just created custom orders, much like you can do for regular customers, and then we applied our wholesale discount to the full order. We're working on building out a B2B site on Shopify now though so wholesale customers can always order through our site, we'll have some content about that coming in the next month or two!

    What are the requirements to get in those and what’s the fee? Can any vendor apply or is it. Hard to get space there to sell?

    Who are the buyers at these trade shows? Are they shop owners? 🤔

    How many catalogs did you print?

    • @Elysebreannedesign
      @Elysebreannedesign  6 месяцев назад

      So we printed about 1,000, but that's because we use them for multiple shows and other projects. I'd say we probably went through 300-450 in the 5 days of the show?
