    This was a very nice video, and it shows a neat idea for certain types of repairs. (If you have the 'hot-melt/plate' tool available). But I'm afraid it's missing the point and usefulness of the original Y-valve; which is having the ability to have one side on/operable, with the other side off. I agree the best place for a plastic Y-valve is in the trash can, but would it not be easier and quicker to just replace the damaged Y-valve with a higher quality metal one?...

    You won't get any threads by pushing the pipe inside the fitting

    No shut off valve for either side. But another split Y, better yet, buy two.

    if you have the money to waste on electricity to do this hack, then surely you have the same money to go and buy a proper one. Secondly i don`t buy plastic hose manifolds. Some hacks are not worth the bother.

  • @phoenixmike1967
    @phoenixmike1967 Год назад

    You messed up, you didn’t make it so you can shut off both sides and turn one or both on. Also, by the way you can buy ones that have 4 taps, and bigger ones more than likely

      @Mrinventor93  Год назад +1

      If I understand you, it doesn't look exactly the same but it does the same function and with the key I can close both, and yes, in fact, I could buy it, but I have many things that I can use to duplicate some things.
