This was a very nice video, and it shows a neat idea for certain types of repairs. (If you have the 'hot-melt/plate' tool available). But I'm afraid it's missing the point and usefulness of the original Y-valve; which is having the ability to have one side on/operable, with the other side off. I agree the best place for a plastic Y-valve is in the trash can, but would it not be easier and quicker to just replace the damaged Y-valve with a higher quality metal one?...
You won't get any threads by pushing the pipe inside the fitting

Geniales los dos o tres que recien voy viendo, ya tienes nuevo suscriptor.
Estaría bueno que coloras con texto las medidas y por ahí nombres de los materiales usas para quienes no sabemos de plomería y eso ;-)
Terimakasih...👍👍👍
Sama sekali tidak terima kasih telah menonton
No shut off valve for either side. But another split Y, better yet, buy two.
Those fittings cost like $2, is it worth all the trouble??
Just go buy another divider. I don't have or want one of those heating tools.
What's that machine or device called that enables you to make threads?
Hello, I think you mean the one I use to heat, right? If so, it's a friend Thermofuser
Thermofuser is very popular among plumbers you can find it in any plumbing accessory store
Thermofuser got it.. Thanks.. And the cutter thing.. Uhm was that a scissor or a pliers? I definitely love your tools.. So neat..
@@dennisbennington4920 You're welcome friend 🤝 they are scissors to cut pvc pipe in the same way with that name you can look for them thank you very much friend
When you're way out on the farm and the hardware store is 25 miles away, these tips come in handy.
Not equivalent functionality. Wouldn't have been as much work to fix the b broken one.
Give me an idea how to fix it friend I can still pick it up from the trash
@@Mrinventor93 I would use some quick Epoxy. With the resourcefulness you showed by making an entire component, you would have no problem repairing a minor damaged plastic edge.
@@roseymalino9855 Or I understand, but I don't have epoxy and the other accessories if I have them at home in the same way I already picked up the piece that I threw in the trash maybe I will repair it, thanks for the idea friend
if you have the money to waste on electricity to do this hack, then surely you have the same money to go and buy a proper one. Secondly i don`t buy plastic hose manifolds. Some hacks are not worth the bother.
You messed up, you didn’t make it so you can shut off both sides and turn one or both on. Also, by the way you can buy ones that have 4 taps, and bigger ones more than likely
If I understand you, it doesn't look exactly the same but it does the same function and with the key I can close both, and yes, in fact, I could buy it, but I have many things that I can use to duplicate some things.
