Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Dear Respected Fundraising Management Team of East London Mosque,
My Name is Mohammed Abul Asad, and I am honored to serve as the chairman of One Ummah Aid. For several years, we have been striving to gain the opportunity to present our mission to the East London Mosque community, with a heartfelt aim to bring aid to orphans and disadvantaged families in Bangladesh. I am reaching out to you with the deepest humility, hoping for the chance to fundraise at Taraweeh during this Ramadan.
This year, One Ummah Aid is working tirelessly to provide daily Iftar meals and essential food packages to families living in unimaginable poverty and to orphans who have no one to rely on for their sustenance. These are people facing not only severe poverty but also the devastations caused by natural disasters that leave them struggling to simply find food and clean water. For many of these families, the simple act of breaking their fast at the end of a long day is a painful reminder of their daily struggle.
Our goal is to help ease their burdens and bring comfort to their lives by delivering vital food and supplies during Ramadan. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can make a profound difference, even if it is just for the month of Ramadan.
I humbly ask you to consider allowing One Ummah Aid to fundraise at Taraweeh. With your support, we can reach out to compassionate hearts and hands that can help lift these families out of desperation. We are prepared to ensure complete transparency, with every donation going directly to those in need, Insha'Allah. This would not only fulfill a tremendous need but would allow our community to share in the blessings of serving Allah’s creation during this holy month.
