Adam would say "Oh my gosh, can you believe it? I actually have this crazy thought that maybe, just maybe, it's not entirely fair or right to hire people just because they happen to be minorities. Don't you think it's super important to consider a person's qualifications, skills, and experience rather than simply focusing on their background? I mean, diversity is amazing and all, but shouldn't we be hiring based on merit and not just for the sake of ticking a diversity checkbox? It's something to ponder, don't you agree? I have to tell you, this situation is just not making me feel great. Like seriously, it's really putting a damper on my day. But hey, here's an idea, let's come together and make a change! Don't you think it would be totally amazing if we could turn this around and make it something awesome? I mean, think about it, we have the power to make a difference! Here is a good example: according to the 2022 census, 75% of the population is white and 14% is black. However, 73% of the players in the NBA are black. How come the percentage of blacks and whites in the census is not reflected in the NBA?

question is, where are all of these DEI failures? People like to point to a few minorities fired from their jobs, or just people they don't like, and assume with no evidence they were an affirmative action hire or a DEI hire, despite the fact the overwhelming majority of organizations don't have any DEI infrastructure. There is zero evidence DEI is failing, or succeeding, and assuming that minorities are being hired because of DEI also demonstrates a bit of racism because it's the assumption these people didn't have the background and merit to be hired in the workplace. Plenty of white people were hired for jobs they were qualified for and due to the Peter Principle, they failed. Plenty of minorities have been hired for jobs they were qualified for and due to the Peter Principle, they failed. People also can't define what they mean by who is "most" qualified because if you put minimum standards, education, preferences for a job, an assortment of people are usually qualified. After that it comes down to the interview process and what we know about how the vast majority of organizations from government to private businesses is most organizations are terrible at hiring and the interview process is completely overrated. Most interviews ask you questions about what you've done, which is good to know, but is often a terrible indicator of how you will perform at a new job that is not much like your old job. This is the problem with people criticizing DEI as it's a failure in that there is absolutely no evidence at all. Pointing to some minorities failing at a job, or potentially getting a job they may not have had the most qualifications for, something white men have often benefited from, does not mean DEI is failing nor does it mean DEI is being used improperly. I have no doubt some organizations are using DEI incorrectly, but that's everything. Until we see any actual evidence that we know a large group of people were hired due to DEI and everything fell apart with a large sample size, it's just a bunch of people complaining and making assumptions, or providing some personal anecdote that can't be verified.

Businesses are driven by the profit motive, especially large businesses. Any business that puts personal preferences (whether for or against racial diversity) above profit is destined for failure. If having only members of one race is profitable, then they are doing the right thing for their business. If having members of many races is profitable, then they are doing the right thing for their business. If both scenarios are profitable, then race is a non-issue. If one scenario is profitable and the other is not, then race is an issue. And if that is the case, the choice should be what is profitable, not what is "socially just." Companies are not moral institutions. They are amoral mechanisms for converting raw materials and labor into products and services. The problem with DEI is that it uses government money to bribe companies to stop doing what is most profitable according to the free market and start doing what is most "right" (according to the government.) That is the text-book definition of fascism.

@Coderjay1919 So, you seem to believe that a contrived system needs to be put in place to allow Blacks a means to reset to a level of equality. If so, that in itself is prejudicial.
Have you even studied the effects of these systems, being forced on us all? EVERYBODY, apart from the mega rich: the 0.001% per capita, is being impoverished: Blacks, Browns, Asians, Latinos, Whites, etc! EVERYONE. Even those usually defined as rich, are having their wealth confiscated, by deceit. It has NOTHING to do with Race, Creed, Religion, etc.. It IS ONLY about THEIR (the Globalists running the World) insatiable need to control! ie. IT'S HUMAN NATURE. It's been that way, for ALL of recorded history.
ANY Race that has a technological advantage over another will always succeed in it's conquest, of another, Just look throughout history: the Romans, the Egyptians, the Ottomans, the Assyrians, the Persians. Just to name a few. As well as a more contemporary one, from around the time, you have referenced: the Spanish genocide (which was not their true intent (they just wanted the resources; gold, silver, the indigenous Peoples' possessed); which occurred due to a virulent disease, they brought with them: smallpox) of the South American Peoples. All in the name of acquiring THEIR land, natural resources, etc.! Nothing has changed. This occurs to this day: Ukraine's attempts to force the Donbass region into submission, since 2014, by the use of inhumane military tactics: ie. constant bombing, of the area (this used to be reported on, by the mainstream media: no more, since Convid), which is the REAL reason for the current Ukraine/Russian war; once you take NATO out of the equation.
Then, you have the Religions & their incessant need to be top-dog. The wars between the Catholics, & the islamics (ie. that is the Muslims) that has been happening for over 1500 years! One attacks the other: the other responds; etc., etc., etc.. Nothings changed, to THIS DAY.
Oh, it doesn't even need to be one skin colour, against another; it can be Whites against Whites; even Blacks against Blacks. Look to Robert Mugabe's attacks against other tribes, to wipe out the competition. Other examples throughout our despicable history, if you want to open a a book, before you open your mouth.
Is that enough talking, to the subject 🤨

Regarding 9:00 - My school board has been openly requesting for and outright stating that non-whites will receive "special consideration" when applying for jobs. The board also has (and I'm 100% serious here) "hiring blitzes" that are *only* open to non-white applicants. There is also (and again, I am 100% factual here) financial compensation for teachers who upgrade their skills by taking certain courses - but that compensation is *only* available to non-whites (and LGBTQ members after they complained). So you can get a $2000 credit for a course if you're *anything* other than a straight white teacher.
So colour me completely unsurprised that the corporate hiring practices reflect this pattern as well.

"Companies are taking great strides to find the most qualified people." No, no they are not. They are doing the opposite.
They are pandering to the DEI community and putting ill-qualified candidates in roles that they aren't prepared for. This hurts the individual, the company and the team the individual is on. I work in IT and the most qualified people are only being hired for the most critical roles. If a company can squeeze a DEI hire into any role they will.
Here's an example. Amazon created a machine learning model to find the best candidates. The model was very accurate. It did exactly what it was designed to do. Amazon refused to use the model. Amazon said the model was highly biased because the majority of the resumes the model was recommending were white men. As it turns out. In the real-world, the majority of top programmers are white males.
A perfect example where meritocracy gives way to mediocrity.
