- Floor 2 isn't bad but its not as good as floor1.
I wish they made more new monsters and changed
up the gameplay a bit more, its alright but its nothing
mind blowing and it definitely could have been
a little better.

I dont compare floor 2 to floor 1, and I don't go in with much expectations. I like to look at it as a standalone experience and ask myself if I had fun. The answer is yes.
I wanted to but as I said it’s one of the most high quality Roblox games. It only makes sense that it should be able to evolve. It’s not bad tho just not my cup of tea.
@@Sangenai the thing about floor 1 is that it was revamped in hotel+ and the mines, so in a couple months then maybe it might just get revamped and become your cup of tea

Idk how many times i have to tell this to people devs don't only work on the upcoming floors they also work on the previous ones
And you gotta keep in mind tyat during development a lot of stuff were getting taken down due to legal reasons like rush sounds for example
And a lot of bugs were happening due to the previous mess of room generation along with entity pathfinding so they literally had to rework the whole game revamp the entities
And change stuff in all of the current floors while also adding the mines and from what we have seen there were some unused stuff that they might have wanted to add but couldn't fir some reason anyway what i mean is that they were working to recreate one main floor and 2 subfloors while creating another main floor which we know wasn't completely finished and they will still add stuff to it
Although many people know about The mines and The hotel revamp they don't that the backdoor and the rooms went through some changes too one of them being the rework of A-90
So keep in kind that devs had to recreate a game with 4 floors with a small team during that time.
Which is why one of my points was
They should hire more people to

@@Sangenai for the first yup you're right and that's why they hired more people not so recently
And stuff getting taken down doesn't mean only the sound I only give one example it could be asset meshes and variety and let's be real LSplash is an artist when it comes to creating sounds and musics and he creates his stuff himself the reason rush sound got taken down I don't really remember I just know it was due to some people reporting them for no reason they also managed to take down LSplash group icon which was literally his
And even with all that they had to still rework not only the room generation but also the floors themselves with entities that reside within those floors and adding/changing new mechanics for them
Like the blinking mechanic for the eyes that happens when screech is on you or when you hide/climb a ladder so Eyes closes their eyes so you can safely find screech
And some behaviors also changed with the lookman entity and A-90 most notably he no longer attacks on its own now it only attack when A-60/A-120 is coming
Anyway no hate or offense to you I was mostly talking about the people in the comments and people who might visit the video later so sorry if I sounded aggressive bud
Anyway I would give devs one more chance since they had mentioned they needed to rework the game from scratch and now the next updates will be much faster especially that they have expanded their team so I would wait and see if they deliver on their promise

@@Sangenai glad to hear I didn't sound mean but yeah I myself am not fully aware of the devs situation and why somethings went the way they did but I can only hear from them trust them and tell the same to others talking with others about this stuff is what improves the community of the game and even tho it would be more appealing for people to hear nice things about games they like I absolutely agree with videos that criticize the game for the better so that the devs know what to improve on.

@@BulbGuyNewtonalso, seek has a lot more potential. Seek is a mass of black goo that can turn itself into whatever it wants. That has more potential than a blind tall meatball. I like figure and all but they couldn’t really do much with him without it being a rehash of the library or door 100 in floor 1.
@@RedLaundryBasket I agree but I think they should switch up/remake the first two animations of Seek. Imo it’s too similar to the animation from the hotel.

To be honest… floor 2 is perfect for me, floor 1 is probably more iconic but that’s because we got used to it
I Agree somewhat. I just don’t really like seeing the same stuff it’s not bad tho, wanted a newer experience from floor 2. Something where you didn’t experience a lot of the monsters from the last floor. Even if I get used to it I just personally won’t like it but I’m open to changing my mind if it gets better.

I had a nice time playing floor 2
Personally, I feel like floor 1 was more impactful, especially the ending.
Floor 2 is good n all, but it kinda feels like a generator simulator some times so hopefully devs touch on that in mines + (if that’s gonna be a thing)
Also, lack of new entities makes me a bit sad but I’m glad to see old entities return (like figure and seek)
I love the update, but my main issue is the lack of new content to floor 2
Ofc, floor 2 has a lot of new content, but not as much as I desired.
Hopefully, mines + update adds new entities, puzzles other then generators, new special rooms, expand on Figures mini-boss fight, maybe add more stuff in the final battle of door 200.

I agree mostly. And yeah got some stuff wrong can’t always be right, Legit the generator parts made me a bit angry when I first played. Like I felt like the next room would have something new that was super dope but nah generator after generator.
I would say 6.9/10 for an out of 10 rating on floor 2, from my point of view I can’t really go to high because it shares too many of the same monsters as only 2 from floor 1 aren’t on floor 2. And for Floor 1 I would say it gets a 9/10. 10/10 means it’s perfection to me and floor 1 can obtain that sooner or later but It’s not perfect quite yet.
(Also my other video of me rating floor 1, I gave it a lower score than I should have).
Overall tho thanks for the comments and discussion helps boost the video. And also helps me get insights on how others feel.
Well they did reveal a lot this update. They told us that were in limbo, seek is way more powerful than its told. Also lsplash recently aswered some questions and he says mines + will prolly come out too
The Seek one I knew didn’t know about the limbo but my point was not them telling us directly. It was me wanting them to tell us through the gameplay.
That was I wanted but I worded it wrong.
@@Sangenaibtw, they did add more devs. You can see these new devs in the credit section in lobby.
Most of the waiting time of floor 2 was due to law stuff.
Also, most of the update was them recoding the whole game with better code since original code was flawed.
Mines + will probably fix most of the problems.
Also, devs said themselves that doors lore will slowly unravel as floors go on.
They don’t rlly wanna reveal it soon.
@@Goji678 Yeah somebody else told me in another comment about the dev Situation. Just think they should reveal it faster through the core gameplay rather than overtime. Don’t ever find myself thinking about the story mainly because it’s not 100% presented at first.

They added some lore for certain entities in this floor so I don’t think it’s a total loss.
@@Goji678 Eh I don’t see it as a loss but by the time they reveal it I’m not gonna be too impressed if it’s not superb sounds like a lot of work is put into the lore then if it’s hidden, probably will be a good reveal but also take into account the time spread out although they had there reasons it’s hard to be in tune waiting for floors in-between years. Then getting another one but it doesn’t tell much about the story I’m assuming it’s something worthwhile tho once they reveal it I just hope it’s told through the gameplay and not by them.

ngl they should've made queen grumble and the colony of grumbles and giggles the main antagonist of floor 3 instead of making seek the next antagonist again
Theres actual lore to the game. Seek is WAY WAY more powerful than any entity. But its also sentient. Its quite literally playing with us before it kills us. Trust me, when door 1000 releases, beating grumble or dam seek will look like a kids easter egg hunt.
It can corrupt entities, including grumbles.

Grumble room kinda sux tbh still struggling there yes the storyline can improve by a lot and presure do the story line well but the ending animations music and gameplay and unique entries (wish they were more) excited me wanting more

People complain about a lack of new entities, but then can’t list ideas that they would like to see. Giggle is a new continuous threat along with rush and screech, gloombat makes it harder to deal with dark rooms and honestly I don’t like how constant they attack, but the grumbles are still a major addition.
Also, you said under another comment that you didn’t say that you didn’t want the entities to be just voided, when you said that in video. Why would they remove some entities? just for a floor to feel more unique? If so, what’s the point if at a point like floor 4, there’s just less diversity in entities than the very first floor?
Well for one I’m not complaining I’m criticizing. And what makes you think I can’t list ideas there was no mention of ideas because I didn’t care to give ideas for them they made the game themselves plus I keep my ideas for myself because I’m making my own animation series from scratch I’m not gonna hand out Ideas out the wazoo even if I enjoy Doors I love the game.
Anyways tho talking and discussing the monsters. Brother there is only 3 new monsters the rest of the monsters are carried over form Floor one with very few having actual changes. There’s only about 2 entities from floor 1 that aren’t in floor 2 which is something I can’t enjoy you guys seem to forget doors is a horror game there’s nothing scary about seeing the same thing your already used to especially when it’s not even changed I understand and respect your point but listen there should be more of a difference between floor 1 and 2, they shouldn’t have the exact same cast of entities. On top of that the game should evolve this is not evolution it’s not bad and I’ll never call it bad it’s just something I personally didn’t like.
Also I said remove some entities and replace them with new ones, or either add other variants for those entities I didnnt out right say remove them.
Tell me would you like to play doors and the whole time the theme of the place your in is the only thing that really ever changes on top of that my boy The new Entities do leave a impact but not one that I can say is greater than what I experienced in floor 1.
And where did I say I wanted less diversity between Enemies I don’t care for that. I only care for there being something more interesting than the same thing I saw 2 years ago when I was first intrigued by it.
But like I said as human beings we can agree to disagree these discussions help me know how you guys feel and I respect it. I’m not trying to be right at all I’m just being honest and giving my full opinion on floor 2, I enjoyed evey other part of doors floor 2 is the only one I didn’t like but that doesn’t mean it’s bad, I’m open to playing it again if it gets another update I’m never gonna not play doors I actually enjoy the game.

On the encountering the same stuff not being scary part, would encountering depth doing the same thing as rush be any scarier? I personally don’t believe so.

Floor 2 was mostly focused on horror unlike floor 1
IG we have to wait 10 years till the mine + and floor 3 but floor 2 was a 6.5?10 to me. Edit: also, now that they have more people than two people it should go faster so that also means that after their break is over there going to make floor 2 even better while making floor 3.

You can be Critical of something and still like other parts of it. this is not a hating situation I criticize things that I like the most because I want it to improve, if I hate floor 2 why give actual points? wouldn't I just say it's bad, and btw its legit not bad but in my opinion it's not good, as I said I think it fits into the mid range that doesn't mean I hate it or that it's bad.

I’m a doofus lol to be honest I’m not sure what my problem is but I have a hard time accepting peoples opinions, mostly if it’s something I really disagree on.
I’ve seen your reply to other comments regarding the dev situation and tbh yeah I agree, but you know now that the devs are expanding their team
There could be plenty of reasons as to why they didn’t before now, but they have done really well just them, from now on I imagine doors will be much MUCH better (if they get along and all that ye, new dev stuff)
As for monsters? I mostly disagree, yes there’s now many new entities, and most return, however I’m sure floor three or more updates will fix that for us! You see it makes sense in a lore standpoint anyways, most of the entities are ghostly figures, allowing them to wander, and if they can travel then that makes us wonder what their origins are and why they can do this! The only entities I would say don’t apply to this are snare, Jeff’s gang, and figure, but all have reasonable explanations as why they are there, Jeff’s gang has always had more than one shop, figure was brought down their with our help, and snare will be re-implement, which makes sense since the plant rooms are there allowing for vegetation related monsters.
Now for why the devs decided to keep most? Well, because a lot of players like familiarity in a game tied directly to the first chapter, and as I said before, it just makes sense! However the entities have small changes so that it doesn’t feel 100 percent the same if you pay attention. Rush can come from ahead now and the room shakes with rushes movement. Halt has obstacles and has been updated in the hotel, the figure spawns in a different room number than we are used to, seek has multiple forms (you could say each form is a monster so that’s technically three new entities interconnected, not counting the seek arms which spawn in seek chase end) screech can spawn in almost every room now, but it’s not that new as we’ve had a similar modifier, and eyes is able to teleport.
I’m sure a few of these entities will not return in floor three but most just seem right, Timothy’s a spider and spiders are found in abandoned places, but I don’t see giggles or grumbles returning much as they are ground dwellers
The devs are definitely up to making more than one version of the same entity, best examples are eyes and lookman or blitz, ambush, and rush. You never see anyone but blitz and lookman in the backdoor. So we might get a lot more entities in floor three, they might add more entities to floor two anyways!

It’s fine, but not as good as floor one in my opinion. The major thing weighing it down is that there aren’t really enough new entities, there’s only three (the same amount as the Rooms or Backdoor). I feel like not all of the old entities had to return, and bringing all of them back and having few new entities just makes the floor less unique. I mean, three out of the four boss encounters are with the same entity! I don’t hate this new floor, it’s just not what I was hoping for. That being said, the developers still made a nice update, even if it’s not personally my favorite.

@@Sangenai Same, I thought it was a joke when LSPLASH said “there’s at least 3 new entities”. I didn’t think there would actually just be three. Not to mention that the Gloombats and the fire rooms have the same function (you can’t use light).

Hotel received a massive update along with some revamps to room generation in rooms and backdoor along with some quality changes like a new A-90 and curious light rework but ig you were to busy complaining you didn't play other parts of the doors

“almost no new gameplay”, there are entirely new rooms with new themes, hide actually does more than just kick you out after a while, 2 entirely brand new seek chases, the grumble section at door 150, the dam seek boss fight at door 200, two figure rooms, generators, fire damp rooms and gloombats, screech appearing at any time, giggles, minecart puzzles, scissors that can cut vines and vine crates open, and some underwater tunnels. Saying “almost no new gameplay” is just ignorant and stupid. You can not like it, that’s your opinion, but to say the devs literally added nothing is just wrong and makes you look like an asshole. They worked hard as they had to basically rewrite the entire game to make the floor and we’re only working with 3 devs. I swear some floor 2 haters keep trying to seek it short by complaining about how little new stuff was added, when that’s literally wrong. Just admit you don’t like it, that’s it. Stop making bullshit claims.
