Let's not forget at least 19k social care workers left the sector in 2021 because they were forced to have the covid jab. Of course they allowed foreign care workers and their families in on a work visa because they could not attract those social care workers back into the sector. The social care sector is one of those most important sectors in this country yet it is poorly paid with very poor sick pay terms & conditions. Advertising for overseas care workers is not the answer when our govt should be doing more to protect & ring fence this sector to ensure the right British people are recruited for our elderly, vulnerable & disabled!.
I once worked for a firm that operated a nine-day fortnight.The staff were divided into three groups on a rota system. Week 1 was Monday/Tuesday off. Week 2 Wednesday/Thursday off. Week 3 Friday off, which ran into Week 1. So you got a 5-day weekend. It worked very well.
Safeguards will not last long. Some elderly will feel like a burden to their family and think they ought to relieve their family of the burden. Also so much emphasis on mental illness at the moment so when depressed they could claim human rights to ask for assisted dying
What is quite incredible to see is Suzy Stride (yes I did spell it the other way as well, covered both options) whom I have been watching on Farage for a long time, she has very clearly moved to the Right over time. This is what conversation outside an echo chamber does.
For years I have called for a proper academic debate of the pros and cons of migration, as there are both, but the traditional mainstream Media simply refuses to hold ministers to account. It's hopeless. A proper discussion is long overdue.
Economy over Culture. What astounds me is the game they play to make us think we have no choice... who decides worth? Who says we can't do what's right for us, regardless of outside influences. We have resources in this country as we as people to do the things we need. We've had a class system that made certain jobs too little for us to consider while at the same time STILL looking down on the working class as idiots and worth nothing... look at all the past programs on tv showing us in that regard while those that get celebrated in society can't even manage the country regardless of posh private schools.
