About two years ago I started watching off road and "overlanding" videos on youtube, and videos like this one remind me how country I am. I never thought I was country, I grew up in a large town of 3000 people and thought I was pretty urbanized. decades went by with me thinking this, until I saw people driving up what I'd consider a driveway and calling it off roading. These are the kinda roads I'd take in my pontiac sunbird when we wanted to go camping. If you got stuck, you just gave it a better run up and picked a better line lol. Not talking crap about yall who consider this rugged intense off roading, but more just surprised every day by discovering I'm not what I thought I was. Life is full of surprises.
Yes they are very capable. Only downfall is the lack of off road aftermarket upgrades like rock rails and under body protection. It may be that Ford updates the F-150 often.
@@4x4OffRoadChannel .. I recently bought RCI skid plate packaged from stage3motor sports (only because free shipping, otherwise would have bought direct). It is as complete as you can get: engine, transmission, & transfer case. I also bought the gas tank skid plate. They are 10 gauge steel, powder coated and way better than the FX4 skid plates I had. Not the cheapest but good quality and I was able to install myself. I paid a little over $900, way worth it
Very impressed with the capability of these trucks. I've been riding sand at the beach and the Tacomas always think it csnt. Even hit some trails and the modded Tacos wanted me to try a climb. I didn't even think I'd make it. Thought I would high center. They thought I wasn't gonna make it and watched to see. Made it. Definitely wanna lift and better tires now.
I’m getting a job delivering diesel fuel and they told me I’d have to drive up the mountain trails and sometimes 4x4, I’ve never done it before but I’ll have to soon.
Great set-up wit the BDS uca's and fox 2.0, enough to do some good off-roading, still good for the highway. Thanks for posting. Good to see some East Coast roadwork :-)
Have a 17 supercrew 5.0 with the E locker with fox 2.5 remote reservoir ended up with a little over 2in of lift 295/70/17 Milestar Patagonia RCI skids. Sliders are on the way. The truck will do more than I’m comfortable with. Are you going to rock crawl no way but I’ve yet to have any issues on more moderate stuff you’ll come across such while hunting.
@4x4 Off-Road Channel Could you share if this is in NJ? I’m in Bergen county, it doesn’t seem like pine barrens. I won’t ask you to give away your spot on such a public forum, just wondering if you guys filmed this in VA or NC etc or if I can find this gem in NJ Thank you! And please keep pumping out awesome content like this!
When you buy the truck and start driving off road and have to fix things, you’ll get it. No reason to go fast unless you’re racing and sponsored or you just got money to blow breaking stuff.
This truck is exactly what I want to do with mines, enough lift and tires for sticky situations, I was skeptical about 2 inch was thinking 6 or 4, but 2 give you all you need off road
I was just in the mountains with snow in 4 high in my 06 f150 with a 2 inch lift driving 25-30 miles an hour over way rougher terrain than that didnt break nothing you just need to know how to drive

The F-150 (with the right options) is a very underrated off-road rig. Excellent full-size trucks.

why spend the money when you already made it. you wanna go crazy now?
@@newlibertarian139well I was scraping frame on a section. And my factory street tires don’t handle mud at all.
Thanks to those foglights lighting up the surrounding area, I could see the video clearly.

How much was the fox setup? I have the exact same truck and it’s the platinum package but not fx4
Would love to see more footage of this F-150! Subbed!
Thanks for the sub! It is a very good looking F150.
@@4x4OffRoadChannel I disagree. It the worst looking F-150 generation of the modern generation.
Can’t wait to do this kind of off road with mine. Great video
This is true offroading. Taking care of the truck and using driving skills rather than brute force driving. :)
Nice, very nice video👍👍👍F-150💪. Good off-road.
Awesome!
Nice set up man
Glad to see a nice supercab rig…just put a 2.5 lvl kit on my black 18 supercab 4x4 XLT got 275/65/18s will go to 33s or 35s once these tires wear
Nice! I’ve got to get my ‘09 back out there..
i never liked Ford trucks to be honest, but i must admit that this generation of f150's looks great. i could be persuaded to own one... haha

So if the liscense plate IS correct and this is New Jersey they are defenitly going to bury a body.
Does your rig have auto 4x4 or are you driving in 4H?? Can you turn your wheels and drive on snowy roads in 4H?

Hope you guys haven't gotten rid of the tundra..
While the trail looks fun, it does not look very challenging even for a stock truck.
