    THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HARRY AND WILLIAM - Harry dwells on his mother's death, William dwells on her life and all the lessons she taught him. I think he learned from the mistakes his mother made with the media, she tried to play a game where she let them in when she wanted them but sadly she could not get rid of them when she didn't. William knows they need the media but only so far.... Again, he learned from her life, not focused on her death.

    My daughter’s dad dropped dead five days after her 13th birthday. In fact, she wandered out of her bedroom and tripped over his body lying the hall where he happened be passing when the heart attack took him. That’s a pretty traumatic event for a young girl, but she dealt with it. Shock morphed into grief, and mellowed eventually into happy memories. She never found it necessary to do the ‘poor little me’ thing, even in the early days when she could have done. She is now a strong and happy adult with a family of her own. She has a photo of her dad in her house, and comment sometime at a resemblance she might see between one of her own brood and her dad, or noting that the middle boy seems to have her dad’s gift for math. She lives in the present, and looks to the future. She has memories of the past, but doesn’t try to live there.

      I agree with you entirely …..Henry is fueled by jealousy, from a very early age and I remember him charging at Williams unprotected stomach with both fists on board Yacht Britannia because William got a hug from mummy first .!!!! He would deliberately knock Williams legs with his tricycle……yes , very jealous from a very young age .!!!
      Worst of all , William spoke to Diana the day before she died on the phone but petulant Henry refused because he was miffed she went off with Dodi instead of going up to Balmoral to see her boys ( understandable the disappointment) but he is FURIOUS that William always seems to get it right and he FEEDS THAT FURY , hates that success , hates William being born first , being privileged……spoiled ( sausages ) .
      Ignoring his OWN privilege, of course.!,
      SO blinded by guilt for not talking to his mum , it’s culminated in a hatred so visceral he sees nothing wrong in ruining or hurting those he perceived as enabling Williams success and not his …… the Palace worked really hard to build a cheeky persona…indeed DID it .!!!
      The MEG dug in and fed this hatred for William …..AFTER William rejected HER .!!!!

Failing that he should have made sure it NEVER appeared in the televised video. What a compliant coward he is if he had any real feeling towards his Grandmother our late Queen he should have shirt fronted his miserable wife and told her off (for the cameras) however this is highly unlikely. 🇦🇺

    Shauna, Harry definitely isn't autistic, he was just a spoilt, sheltered boy, who's developed strong narcissistic traits.
    I'm autistic myself and am tired of ill-mannered people or even narcissists called autistic. We tend to be somewhat lacking in cognitive empathy but not in emotional empathy, many of us being hyper empathetic. What you observe in Harry is narcissistic behaviour.

      I agree with you Barbara. Autistic people generally don’t lack empathy and are not horrible people. I think Harry has strong narcissistic & antisocial personality disorder traits which can be seen in the unfeeling way he treats other people. He has treated his family in the most appalling manner but thinks that they should be the ones to apologise to him. He sees himself as the centre of universe who can do no wrong and is misunderstood and victimised. That screams narcissism and personality disorder.

    Shauna I was a ward of Legacy,from age 16-18. My father ran away from home in Belfast aged 14,joined the British Army and was severely wounded in WW1 and came to Australia, prospecting, after the war ended. When WW2 started he tried to enlist again but the Army Doctor recognised his scars for what they were and refused to pass him fit. He then joined the Merchant Navy and saw out war in that service. He was injured several times and by the time he met and married my Mother, he was close to 50 and his health was compromised. He died when I was nearly 16 and Legacy stepped in to help my Mum and me. I remember the Christmas parties with great fondness and gratitude,also the help with my school expenses because Mum really struggled. I was an only child, otherwise life would have been much harder. I remember my pride when I joined the other Legatees on Anzac Day wearing Daddy’s medals.👌🇦🇺👋

      I agree. I believe that Diana would be very proud of Prince William. Despite the adversity he has had to deal with this year, he has carried out his duties. He has grown in strength and stature and is becoming a great Statesman. Diana's wish was the her eldest son would be the King of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth one day. Her other wish was that his brother would be by his side. Sadly the youngest son, chose to be a selfish, nasty, useless idiot.

    • @5877user
      @5877user 4 дня назад +7

      And Meghan isn’t necessarily protecting him now, either.
      She usually totally controls his very rare public appearances and it’s usually just them doing quick photo ops without them saying anything because every time Harry opens his mouth in public, he shows us what kind of fool he is. Meghan knows she’s more strategic and cunning than Harry.
      I think in private, he does see Meghan for who she is.
      But they are codependent now on each other for many reasons.
      So their current narrative is “professional separation.”
      Tomorrow it will be something else.
      Every couple of months they tell the media to talk about separation and divorce and speculation.

    Completely agree with you Shauna regarding the 12 year old boy, shocking manipulation of a grieving young boy, for them to highlight his age then introduce Harry and his story, for heaven’s sake we are nearing 30 years of that tragedy, time to stop drawing Diana like a sword! Time to act your age Harry, many people have lost parents at a young age, let’s face it, losing a parent at any age is heartbreaking, I lost both mine within 8 month’s of each other, but I don’t constantly refer to it, I have my thoughts in private, as I suspect does Prince William. Not use it by means of the sympathy vote.

    • @Lynda-vq5yl
      @Lynda-vq5yl 4 дня назад +8

      Worse than losing your parents is to have abusive parents and not experience any love at all. Harry should be damn grateful he had both a loving mother and father, not to mention grandparents. At least he had some happy memories of a loving mother. He infuriates me with his constant poor me, I had such a tough life attitude. I sympathise with those who have lost a loving parent, it's just that Harry seems to be determined to make it a career

      I had tried to find out if Scotty’s Soldiers paid Harry and they admitted to ‘allowances’ but Harry does NOTHING for FREE. He has bankrupted Sentebale, after insisting it was held in Singapore since that’s where Prince William’s Earthshot Prize was going to be held. So Harry got Sentebale to pay to ship all those horses for that match. The WHOLE AUDIENCE demanded their money back and all walked out. So Sentebale was totally in the hole because of that Prince Ponce. Then what they’ve done to Invictus, 600K for them to show up?! Those are donations meant for disabled VETERANS, not bored silly millionaires.

His behaviour and bad character was so ingrained before his mother died and was encouraged by his mother for her own reasons. He has this gigantic ego that desperately needs downsizing. He actually believes that none of us count and he is the important one. I remember one particular event they hosted some ex servicemen including a couple of Victoria Cross recipients and I recall my mother telling me years later that she overhead some of the conversation and it was the first time she had some idea of what these men had been through😢 These gentle men had a sense of comradeship that grew from their shared experience but they behaved with dignity and did not share this outside their group. It was so predictable that the sport of Polo would get markled. The sport has gone under the radar for years only of interest to a very niche market. Harry and Meghan have now put a spotlight on the worst elements of the sport and they can’t put the genie back in the bottle. His friend Nacho will regret the day he agreed to get involved with Harry and Meghan and this documentary. Like everyone else that attaches themselves to H&M they always end up losing

    Harry makes conversation with children. We know there are people he promised things to he didn’t follow up on. I think of his African charities. The comments he makes to them that we hear are like preplanned .. not personal, almost cold . William and Catherine talk with children but their body language, eye contact , actual listening and appropriate responses to what the child says, and the kind words they say makes it look / sound like there is not just required conversation but a deeper level of caring for that person.

    ❤ oh Prince William was so loving and fun, you can see what a wonderful life their children have ❤ As for the polo, 😢 no I could not watch it. I remember on a documentary about the Royals there was a short clip of Charles watching harry on the polo field and harry had missed the puck, so he screwed the blunt end of the handle of his whip into the soft spot near the the pony's shoulder blade and then the camera panned to Charles who was looking absolutely horrified and putting his hand through his hair, the way he does when he's a bit nervous. That was when even Prince Philip played, so Harry was only a teenager!! Just shows in his base character. Sad 😢.

    Kids are so cute. I have 3 year old identical twin grandsons, Wally and Sam. One is the trouble maker, one is the peace maker. If Wally points out the window, and says “Look Nanny”, I immediately turn around to see what Samuel is up to. Wally gets cross with me. He says” Why do you not look out window with me”. I reply “ Because Nanny didn’t come down in last shower of rain”. He looks puzzled, and goes to the window and says “ But it’s sunny, not raining”. They crack me up. William is a natural with children. Harry is an example of a man who does not live with children.

    As someone who has wonderful memories of riding and who only stopped because my aging equine companion no longer enjoyed our outings, I felt a need to look into the treatment of polo ponies. There has been some research looking at injuries among all horses in “athletic” activities and it was found that the polo ponies had no more injuries than horses in other activities. What surprised me was that most injuries came from cross country events. If you look into PETA’s stance, it is against most of the “athletic” activities, not just polo. That doesn’t mean injuries in polo should be ignored, it just means that we might need to look at how we treat all horses, in all activities.

    Scotty's Little Soldiers is an incredible charity, one that my parents have collected for, over the years, through their RCA and RCT association, and they are upset the way Harry uses the charity to air his own grief, and not that of children, who have recently lost a family member.
    Scotty's not just supports the grieving children through the initial trauma of their lost, but continues to support them all through school, college, and university. They bring fun , joy, and friendship at a time of darkness.

    Re the York girls and Christmas at Sandringham, I wouldnt be at all surprised if they stop going. Remember, taking away the Royal bit completely, they used to all spend Cjhristmas with Granny. Usually when the grandparents dies new groups are formed as spending Christmas with Uncle isnt quite the same. I can see them wanting to have time with their own parents but also maybe with the in-laws too. With the Wales kids now growing up and Camilla having a whole family of her own that want to spend Christmas time with Granny there probably isnt really room for the Yorks either. Out with the old regimen and in with the new. Thats the way of things. When the Matriarch dies new groups are formed.

    I'm not sure what experience the lady who made the comment with regard to Harry being on the spectrum, and I don't want to disrespect her.
    I have worked with many children and teenagers on the spectrum.
    These people are extremely socially awkward. They do not lack empathy. They are very aware of what people think of them, and it hurts them.
    Complete lack of empathy moves you toward the sociopathic spectrum. Add to that the fact that he is not exceedingly bright and the drugs and alcohol and you have an offensive, cruel jerk.

  • @mumble.jumbles

    I don't think it's a spectrum issue but an ego issue. Generally, neurodivergent people have a different perception of social cues not because of spite, jealousy or one-upmanship. I believe it's Harry's fury and pigheadedness that causes him to either disregard or condemn any criticism of his behaviour, however valid it may be.
    Palace PR and protection did everything to reframe his obnoxiousness as cheeky chappy, but really watch some of those "charming" interactions and it's clear that the joke was always putting someone else down, never self-deprecating. He even documents his bullying behaviour to staff in Spare, without a shred of contrition.
    The concession I might give Harry would be to consider the angry and warring state of his parents' marriage into which he was born, with all its triangulations. Not an excuse, but perhaps an explanation for his innate belligerence.

  • @kadym4164
    @kadym4164 4 дня назад +18

    That child giving PW his drawing and W’s comment then keeping it himself is so beautiful and will be a lifelong memory for the child. PW proves that he is a great father with his interactions with kids. The ways that H&M treat children reinforces the idea that they don't really have children or if they do entrances they never interact with their children. So very sad.
    Very sadly some therapists encourage their clients to wallow in the mire of being a victim. With good therapy you are lifted out of the mire and encouraged to grow, change and mature. IMO. I don't really think H is on the autism spectrum. It is fairly well known that he suffered from oxygen deprivation at birth and the RF catered to his slow learning deficits. Drug use/abuse and trauma as a young child will contribute to the disassociation he seems to display. Also when one has been traumatised at a young age any repeated trauma, as he apparently suffered from his two deployments, then it is quite likely has huge gaps in their memories of childhood etc. However, from what I have learned from people commenting on Spare, this would probably not be the case. But he does seem to remember things very selectively that play into his victim narrative. 😢😢
    😊
    Very sadly, what I have seen of polo over the years, angry men take out their anger on their competitors and the horses. There is NO excuse for displaying such abysmal behaviour on the field.

He was so funny when he visited an Indian restaurant and took a phone order. Unfortunately, Prince William omitted to obtain the name and address so the owner had to phone back and impart that ‘we have a new staff member and he is called William …..Prince William. When he married Catherine in Westminster Abbey with two thousand plus people, he was waiting for Catherine and her father and when they had walked all the way up to Prince William he leaned over and said ‘don’t worry Mike (Catherine’s father), it’s only a small family gathering we do this all the time!’ He wanted them to relax. Lastly, when Catherine came out on to the balcony she didn’t moan and groan. She just said ‘wow’. No camera seeking, just ‘wow’ to all the crowd

    As a kiwi I appreciate the earlier broadcasts. I am not too hot or cold. Beautiful weather for most of week even though it’s drizzling now. Taupo is hosting Ironman this weekend so half the town is closed off and there are Lycra clad buff bodies everywhere. Kia Ora from across the ditch.

    It was quite known that Diana was trying to vilify Charles and make him look bad but did she do the same with the rest of the family? If so, it was quite stupid of her

    No surprise that the polo show is all about 'pretentious bullies'. That's H&M in a nutshell.
